I have consulted with someone in my family who is a doctor, I sprained my wrist and got a brace. And they told me the best thing to take is an anti-inflammatory called Naproxen. How long does Naproxen stay in someone's system.

Was on Naproxen nearly a week for pinched nerve. It helped the nerve but started experiencing the awful side effects. Bloating, gassy & jittery. Thought I was having heart attack symptoms or a panic attack until I read all the posts. This is and awful drug. Will deal with the pain next time.

As with anything, whether it be drugs, food or drink, you should not take them if they are out of date. The date is on the packet for your safety, and you could experience more adverse effects from taking out of date medication.

Also some medications can begin to loose their effectiveness passed the expiration date, so it would be best in your case to just request a new prescription given the length of time it has been out of date. However, if you'd really like to be certain about the pills degradation, you would have to take them to a lab and have them tested for quality. I don't know how to go about that procedure, but I am sure it will be cheaper and less stressful to just get a refill. Hope this helps!

I just took alleve for past five days, stopped yesterday. Feeling like I am going to die.
