I will be taking Levofloxcin 500mg for 10 days. How long will it remain in my system after finishing the medicine?

Yes, my joints ached and I was stiff. I took it for 10 days and finished it up a month ago and I'm still having some symptoms.

I took that antibiotic 1 day for only 2 mins and developed symptoms without waiting for it to resolve; and then i developed chest pain, lightheadedness, headache and shortness of breath. Please don't take this s***.

I was on a 10 day program. When will it be out of my system? It was for aspiration pneumonia. I am 90 yrs old.

I had the same side effects. Only took it for two days. I stopped the medication and it was a good thing because after reading the online posts some of the side effects can be permanent.

I was diagnosed with UTI, doctor gave me OFLOXACIN 400 mg once a day for 3 days, is it safe? Won't it have harmful side effect ?

I took levaquin for 10 days for a sinus infection. I finished the dosage on Oct. 1st. My knees and one shoulder is still bothering me. I left on Oct. 2nd for a 9 day trip. I had to pull up on the back of the bus seat to stand. My roommate had also taken the same med for the same reason. She had to buy a cane to use. We are both still having problems. I thought when I got home and got back on my exercise routine, it would be better but it isn't yet. I was hoping some of you had answers. I guess I should be grateful that my symptoms weren't worse but when you have trouble getting up off the sofa to go to the bathroom, it's difficult to feel grateful.

I took one 500 mg pill and my mouth and throat got real dry making it hard to swallow. How long does this medicine last in your system?

I have been taking levoflaxine 500mg twice a day and dalacine 300mg 3 times a day for 4 weeks for an osteomyelite. I have sore legs and hips like i've run a marathon and a very sore lower back...my right shoulder also gives me pain. I stopped the treatment on Sunday as it was the end of the treatment and everything has improved except my back....I am 65 years old, physically fit and have never had back pain in my life. Can you tell me if this is due to the treatment and how long will it take to stop affecting my back? Thank you.

Doc told me to avoid working out. That a side effect of the med was weakening of the tendons. I wouldn't be lifting weights to avoid any tendon ruptures, as is a side effect. I only took 750 mg for 1 day and then made a switch.

Took Medicine for 8 days (500mg) and after I stopped using it I have had bad thigh pain and can't hardly walk for nearly a week. How long will this pain last?

Because of levofloxacin 750mg side effects, can i stop the dose after 3 pills (the dose is 5 pills per 5 days)?

I've been given Leviquin for a chronic cyst in my testicle. I finished the ten day script, one a day at 500 Mg. I have yet to feel any relief. Should I ask fo more? Thinking maybe I just haven't taken enough to help my problem.

Yes, after 4 days, one pill a day of 500mg, I had all the same as you did, never had I dealt with this and I stop medication after 4 pills. This was horrible. I will never take this medication again.

Levofloxacin is a dangerous medicine. I took it for bk virus treatment after my kidney transplant and it made my skin rash itch and blush. it can cause tendinitis and tendon rupture for older patients. so avoid working out while on this medic even after a few months you stopped it.

I took Levaquin for 7 doses for pneumonia. I had been on Augmentin for 10 days for severe bronchitis, sinus infection and cough. I was also taking Prednisone and had a half of a week supply left and was told to keep taking it with the Levaquin. I am also 63. After day two I experienced pain in one foot, similar to a bad stone bruise. I had been only in the bed for the previous weeks. Day 3, my entire foot felt like it had been slammed in a car door. The pain had started up my shin and calf area. By day 5 I was in excruciating pain from my foot to my thigh. Day 6, a trip to the ER where they just took me off the Levaquin and acted like I had a muscle spasm. Received Motrin for pain and sent home with something for my cough. Still having pain in my foot if I am on it very much. Also I am experiencing unusual bleeding and bruising if I happen to bump my arms or legs lightly or even scratching a mosquito bite. Look as if I've been in a wreck. My skin is a mess with red and dark black/purple spots all over.

This is a bad side effect. Can be very dangerous. Stop and please seek Dr. Advice.

I was on 500mg 2 times daily and the second day I still hadn't slept for 48hrs and totally lost my appetite....day 3 I got an awful headache, neck pain, nausea and could hardly pass urine... called doctor and he told me to stop immediately....today, day 4 and no levofloxacin for 26 hrs and I still can't eat and have minor headache and neck pain....I feel awful... The side effects nearly killed me. I would NOT recommend taking a chance on it....read all the side effects possible....very unsafe.
