I took only one 7.5 lortab and was drug tested. Will it show up in my urine? If so, for how long?

Exactly RIGHT!!!! They have NO idea what "real" pain is....and those of us who suffer from Chronic Pain pay for their ABUSE!! Thank you for standing up for US.....

Taking opiates forever regardless of legitimate back pain is not a good life, and most people who are not "good people like you", were just like you, then doctors stop the scripts after years, and anyone who takes opioid painkillers legitimately or not, will have major issues, or you would not even be online about this, but it's also how lucky you are about finding the right doctors, I've had 3 ruptured discs, along with other issues, I was gonna kill myself due to excruciating pain, unbearable. But I've known 20 year old girls no more than 110 lbs, that went to the Dr. For a cold and got cough medicine with hydrocodone! What! I switch Drs., but because maybe I'm honest or because I'm a somewhat fit male, f*** I don't know.

Vikcodin and Lortab are the same drug just strengths may come differently -both contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen

Amen!! I totally agree with you on that. Because of so many people that are illegally trying to do anything and everything they can to get there hands on pain meds, anxiety meds, etc... it has punished the rest of us that are really in pain and in the need of medication...especially the elderly and the people that are suffering from a certain form of cancer or people who are terminally ill. You should be ashamed of yourselves really, if you think your in need of medication that severely maybe you need to go seek a doctor and get some help yourself.... I remember when it was no problem getting medications that you needed but now even if you go to a pharmacy now days and pick up your proscriptions, the pharmacist looks at you like your some kind of drug addict just for picking up medication and on top of that, it isn't even a narcotic...it's sad that the pharmacists just automatically in there minds assume that your a pill popper, and that's because of all of these other people out there that's really doing that.....and I can't really blame the pharmacists because she probably has to really deal with people up at the pharmacy all day trying to do crazy stuff just to find some way or another to get there hands on some narcotics...

I have been on pain management for 8 years I have had 13 surgeries and a real pain issue. Because of people that abuse drugs I have to go through extensive monthly test I can't take cold medicine I can no longer have a small glass of wine I cannot even go to the er. If I have a broken bone and it's after hours of my pain doctor I cannot even go to er to get it cast. If I have chest pains I have to get permission to go to er. It's reficulous. I was cut down by 60 pills a month this is crazy. I have to suffer throughout the month because I was cut two pills a day. I get called in for counts as late as midnight. Druggies have cause all this and I and others like me have to suffer. I feel your pain.

How completely uninformed, shallow, foolish and ignorant can YOU be? There are people wa sickness,a disease out there who have nothing to do with YOU.... Get off of your soap box and maybe off of some of your medication so you can realize how stupid your statement/opinion of people really is..

You are so right I have a pain pump and getting pain meds to take by mouth is getting crazy. So I feel the same way those of you who take these meds for recreation you don't understand the ones who realy need these are suffering becouse we can't get them and if we do we are watched like a hawk..

Look 3 day used to be safe, but again it would depend if you took 30 or 1. BUT the new tests can show up to 5 days and also if you are older or have liver or other health problems it can show up for longer, too. I'm talking about most drugs here. Pot can show up for 2 months.

2 days most of the time...50/60 hours is best. I took 6 hydrocodone several times a day (6 at a time), and stopped around 11 pm Friday night. Monday morning I had a urine drug test and it screened cleaned.
The question ask a lot of the times is never really answered.
The question being 'if I'm a frequent user, how long does it take to get out of my system' so it's 2 complete full days or 50/60 hours.
I took some on like a Saturday night and didn't take anymore until after my drug test, and it showed them. The level was low, but still showed them in my system and I drank plenty of water and took water pills, but never worked.
I stopped on a Friday night and had drug test on a Monday and passed two times that way so it definitely takes at least 2 days. Of course still make sure you drink plenty of water and sweat some just in case.
As a frequent user, I constantly looked this same question up, but never really seen an answer other than 3.8 hours is the half life of your original last dose. Well, I know for frequent users it takes 2 days at least. If you're a heavy set person, you might want to make sure you get 60 hours in before testing.
Hope this makes since and answered everyone's question. This is strictly from experience and I've been tested several times.

I took one 10mg Narco on Wednesday and failed a swab drug test on Friday. So it definitely takes + 2days not to be positive....on 140mg of methadone. Idk what I thought that Narco was gonna do...

Thank you for saying what I've thought every since the rules and regulations got so unreal I've been on prescription medications legally for over ten years and it really sucks to be treated like a criminal for a back injury I wouldn't wish on anyone thanks to people getting high on them now I have more doctors appointments have to travel twice as far and if that's not enough when I get to pain management then I'm tested then I have to convince the doctor that I'm not a dopead and that I really hurt and get meds that aren't strong enough but beggars can't be choosers there was a time when pain was treated like any medical condition not anymore thanks dopeheads you made a difficult situation even worse you jerks!!!

They are the same medication. Lortab and Vicodin are just two different names for the same pills!

You are wrong and giving out bad information. Oxycodone WILL show up as an opiate because it IS an opiate!

Only one! ANY drug will show up on drug test 3-5 days after you take w the exception of weed, it can stay in fat cells in body and will test positive up to 30 days. Good luck!

You know, not to defend people that obtain narcotics without a prescription and abuse it....but just because someone does not have a prescription does not mean they do not have "real pain". Don't be so quick to judge. This is coming from someone who has to jump through hoops as well because of prescription opiate abuse...before you jump back up on your podium.

I took half of a hydrocodone today for a really bad headache and I'm going to have to take a drug test Wednesday for a job. I don't have a current prescription for hydrocodone but the bottle I have is from a couple of years ago, I just never took them all. Should I be okay for the test?

Thank You, only problem is he threw the bottle away when finished :/ so he wasnt sure on if it was "valid" anymore, and the test was a surprise, even though after 6 days he should be good.. set to have a baby this week! sooo... just dont need extra headaches :/
