How Long Do I Have To Wait Take Suboxone after taking 10mg oxycodone so i dont go into precipitated withdrawals?

Tracy you are the smartest person one here besides me. What Doctor would prescribe both suboxone and another opoaite at the same time? Either they are dr shopping or lieing about it. When I broke my neck my doctor took me off the suboxone and put me on norco for a few days I never had a withdrawal. I'm on subutex now and sometimes I'll take a norco a couple of hours later no withdrawal. I was on suboxone when I wrecked, the paramedics didn't know that I was to out of it to tell them they started pumping full of fentyal but I didn't feel it. They gave it to me until I got to a trauma center then I was given morphine, still nothing, then dilaudid ... finally relief but never a withdrawal.

If your really ready then you can ask your Dr where to set you up on the suboxin program. They are everywhere. But make sure this is what you want.

Thank you Mr Clean! For some reason you seemed honest and knowledgeable. Everyone else were scarying the heck out of me....and Sure enough...your advice was 100. 12 hours seemed to do the trick!!!!!!

Three days or prepare for hell lol. That's some bad information right there. If you don't know the answer stop giving people bad information please. When your withdrawal really hits and your feeling bad. That's the time to take suboxone.

I took opiates in the mourning then worked a 10 hour day. & took a suboxone after work & was fine I would do oxy at 10 at night then sleep & wake up & take suboxones first thing in the mourning I would say 10 hours 12 to be safe

You know for some reason this message stuck out to me, I too carry the guilt of addiction and have kids and all! I've quit before and I am in the struggle of quitting again! Who would turn back to this life after given a second chance to be normal??? Anyone, and you could be sitting here writing the very same message to someone else years from now! Don't be like me, get clean, if this is your first time using subs, trust me it is a great tool to get off of pain killers without much suffering is any at all if you use it right! Go for it, take only what is necessary if the subs to take the edge off, stay away from getting a high off of subs, if you do you're taking too much, and immediately start cutting your dose asap! After about two weeks or less you should be in the clear. This is the most important part, exercise, you have to teach your brain to create more endorphins on its own, exercise does this, and it will keep the anxiety and stress down and make you feel good for a change naturally! You are lucky you are ALIVE!!! i have been an addict for 15 years and have been on opiates more than i have not, throughout my life. I have first tried one 8mg suboxone thru a clinic {I was on about twelve vicodin, norco or 5mg ms contin} since I first started taking sub. It was too much for me, so my dr then said to take only half...due to me being small this worked just fine. Next on my list was vivitrol, I would ONLY recommend this once a month inj. ONLY if you have not had taken ANY OPIATE OF ANY MG 48 hours before taking the shot, believe me i know. I took an 80mg oxy (for my last hoorah) mainly bc I did not believe this would interfere with this inj. I WAS OH SO WRONG, got the shot about two hours after hoorah/splurge and I went into SEVERE, HORRIFIC dt's!!!! As far sub goes do not TAKE ANYTHING (opiate) until you have an achy body and chills. This will VARY from person to person, so DO NOT take any advice about how many hours...this will depend on your weight, height, and how much opiates you are taking and how long you've been taking it. I am going back on a suboxone program even though it is ungodly expensive. I have to pay 280 dollars to start and 90 dollars every appointment thereafter. That is with medicaid. This alone has made me want to change my mind. When I was on it years ago it was simply 6 bucks a pill and a small copayment for the dr appt. I am absolutely flabberrgasted at how much the cost has risen. I live in Michigan. If you know of any cheaper place to go in northern Michigan, please lmk. If there is anything I can answer or may help you with, just ask.

I'll say this tho about this topic...

So I stopped taking suboxone all together having found some T3s (codeine 30mg/500mg Tylenol) 6 pills to be exact....

I only weigh 133lbs, 25yrs old,guy, took suboxone (8mg pill form) 2mg maybe twice a day everyday for close to a year.

Quick overview: 6 T3s = 3,000mg of Tylenol (horrible effects on liver) & 180mg of Codeine (the point)

And being off suboxone for LEGIT 70 hours, not taking a sliver of sub at all period, ONLY thing it did was take away the withdrawal sickness from Subs a little for a bit....

Moral of the story is.....variables differ from each persons circumstances, your amount of fat on body, your suboxone daily use & amounts of use, age, & exercise -key things that will matter on how soon after stopping an opiate. I was extremely pissed off after a lot of research failed me.

Don't be dumb like me and waste a good pill on naloxone effects, even at 70 hours......do your homework!!!

Absolutely I agree I take Percocet and then take suboxone like 3 to 4 hours later and I'm fine the only time I've ever gone into precipitated withdrawal as if I totally stopped taking my Suboxone of which I'm on 4to 8 milligrams a day for three days in a row then I tried to take 4 milligrams of Suboxone that night and went into precipitated withdrawal but if you only take one Percocet 10 you are safe to take your suboxin immediately

I was on Suboxone for the past four years I ran short for my prescription so I got six perk 30s I took them until my script was ready I took one perk 30 this morning at eight when can I take my Suboxone again I am on three tablets does anybody know

WRONG YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE IN FULL WITHDRAWALS YOU CAN TAKE A SUB JUST MEER HOURS AFTER DOSING OXYCODONE THANK YOU VERY MUCH WITHOUT THE FEAR OF PRECIPITATED WITHDRAWALS

Hey there I feel your pain my kids used to sit beside the bed and keep asking how long are you going to be sick mommy because we want to play with you. It literally breaks my heart thinking about those times and I am forever grateful to suboxone. I was able to get into a grant program that supplies me with 30 12mg strips a month and they have made such a difference in my life. No more sick Mommy. You will get through this remember baby steps and just for today. I to have history of anxiety and depression and have had absolutely no adverse reactions to the suboxone. PEACE AND LOVE MY FRIEND

The reason you didn’t go into pwd is because you took pills AFTER subs... I wish ppl wouldn’t post unless they know what they are talking about.... if you take subs after taking pills you absolutely can go into pwd... so many people are confused about this and it’s scary to think how dangerous it is that you have NO idea what you’re doing or telling others!!!

I sat here in fear of these pwds I was using 40mg oxyirs 8 times a day 390 pills a month and decided enough is enough I went 13 hrs till I felt I was going to rip my skin off took 2mg of Suboxone than 30 mins later took another 2mgs and fell asleep woke up 2 hrs later n felt normal. Took another 4mgs this am 5 hours later n feel ok. I'm blessed but wait till your physical state is in withdrawl not your mind. I feel much better and I just started

I've been doing 1-1/2 to 2 30 mg. Oxycodones a day for the past 3 weeks since my 36 year old son was killed by a hit and run driver a block from his house. I couldn't take the pain, and having been an h user for about two years, it was easy to avoid being hysterical using 30's. Now, I want off, how soon after using can I start suboxone strips? Someone said "right away" but she's never been in wd and does alot more than me, for a much longer time . Please help me someone, I hate this feeling!

If you do h regularly, you need to be in full withdrawal. The suboxone will cause you immediate withdrawl. I had to wait 1 1/2 days.
