How Long Do I Have To Wait Take Suboxone after taking 10mg oxycodone so i dont go into precipitated withdrawals?
I totally agree that 12-16 hrs after taking your last dose of Roxy is sufficient to switch over back to Suboxone. ..You don't need to be in full withdrawls before taking Sub...I will take roxy for 3 days in a row...Let's says I stop taking Rox at 11 pm on a Sunday night and the very next day Monday at 2 pm I'm fine and the Sub makes me feel really good
I need a little bit of help first time I've been on here I have one Subutex I have taken a 60 milligram morphine at 7 o'clock this morning and 5 Lortab 10 and one Percocet 10 how long do I have to wait before I can take my Subutex is my question can somebody please help me with this
I'll say this tho about this topic...
So I stopped taking suboxone all together having found some T3s (codeine 30mg/500mg Tylenol) 6 pills to be exact....
I only weigh 133lbs, 25yrs old, guy, took suboxone (8mg pill form) 2mg maybe twice a day everyday for close to a year.
Quick overview: 6 T3s = 3,000mg of Tylenol (horrible effects on liver) & 180mg of Codeine (the point)
And being off suboxone for LEGIT 70 hours, not taking a sliver of sub at all period, ONLY thing it did was take away the withdrawal sickness from Subs a little for a bit....
Moral of the story is.....variables differ from each persons circumstances, your amount of fat on body, your suboxone daily use & amounts of use, age, & exercise -key things that will matter on how soon after stopping an opiate. I was extremely pissed off after a lot of research failed me.
Don't be dumb like me and waste a good pill on naloxone effects, even at 70 hours......do your homework!!!
Yes. Absolutely. I don't know why you waited 20 hours. You would have been fine at 3 hours. It is at least for me.
I've been taking 120 mg a day for 3 weeks it's been 20 hours since my last is it ok to take a suboxone
Before starting taking pills again was on subs for 2 weeks don't no why went back
You are lucky you are ALIVE!!! i have been an addict for 15 years and have been on opiates more than i have not, throughout my life. I have first tried one 8mg suboxone thru a clinic {I was on about twelve vicodin, norco or 5mg ms contin} since I first started taking sub. It was too much for me, so my dr then said to take only half...due to me being small this worked just fine. Next on my list was vivitrol, I would ONLY recommend this once a month inj. ONLY if you have not had taken ANY OPIATE OF ANY MG 48 hours before taking the shot, believe me i know. I took an 80mg oxy (for my last hoorah) mainly bc I did not believe this would interfere with this inj. I WAS OH SO WRONG, got the shot about two hours after hoorah/splurge and I went into SEVERE, HORRIFIC dt's!!!! As far sub goes do not TAKE ANYTHING (opiate) until you have an achy body and chills. This will VARY from person to person, so DO NOT take any advice about how many hours...this will depend on your weight, height, and how much opiates you are taking and how long you've been taking it. I am going back on a suboxone program even though it is ungodly expensive. I have to pay 280 dollars to start and 90 dollars every appointment thereafter. That is with medicaid. This alone has made me want to change my mind. When I was on it years ago it was simply 6 bucks a pill and a small copayment for the dr appt. I am absolutely flabberrgasted at how much the cost has risen. I live in Michigan. If you know of any cheaper place to go in northern Michigan, please lmk. If there is anything I can answer or may help you with, just ask.
You know for some reason this message stuck out to me, I too carry the guilt of addiction and have kids and all! I've quit before and I am in the struggle of quitting again! Who would turn back to this life after given a second chance to be normal??? Anyone, and you could be sitting here writing the very same message to someone else years from now! Don't be like me, get clean, if this is your first time using subs, trust me it is a great tool to get off of pain killers without much suffering is any at all if you use it right! Go for it, take only what is necessary if the subs to take the edge off, stay away from getting a high off of subs, if you do you're taking too much, and immediately start cutting your dose asap! After about two weeks or less you should be in the clear. This is the most important part, exercise, you have to teach your brain to create more endorphins on its own, exercise does this, and it will keep the anxiety and stress down and make you feel good for a change naturally! Good luck, hope this helps. And the most important thing of all is to pray! God bless!!!
I took opiates in the mourning then worked a 10 hour day. & took a suboxone after work & was fine I would do oxy at 10 at night then sleep & wake up & take suboxones first thing in the mourning I would say 10 hours 12 to be safe
I have talked on this subject before everyone is different when it comes down to medicine IV heard people say they went into withdrawals when your taking oxycodone or any opiates at all suboxone has naloxone in it an it's an opiate an naloxone is a blocker that stops you from feeling the opiates IV taken both before an nothing happened others said it gave them a bad headache but suboxone is mainly used by people wanting to get off opiates but all I found out it's just wasting the oxycodone pill when taking suboxone or vice versa each medicine is for certain problems hope this helps have a good day thanks Ken
your induction process is off. keep taking the Suboxone until you fell right it takes more keep taking.
Sooooo super agree...no wd caused by taking subs w opiates...feel bad for people who wait believing it will cause wd...if u take sub after ops & feel withdrawaly its only because u didnt take enough sub...ive taken both at same time essentially after surgery & just discussed this w my dr who is licensed as a sub precriber & pm dr. He was telling me he had to reassure a sub patient who had surgery & needed op for pain relief but she had precip wd fears & had to explain to her its bs & is abt keeping addicted patients on track of subox only etc....& i also know this to be true from personal experience...no need to wait people ...if u have subs take them when u need them!
Absolutely agree, the famous fear of withdrawal hell is bs, I switch between oxys and subs all the time with no withdrawals.
So as a mother myself I've been down that road and not saying what I have done in the past will work for you but I myself have done 5-10 30mg oxycodone in a day or for days/years at a time n did the same thing and got Suboxone on the street for a period of time. Now I used to do the 5-10 oxys, sometimes doing my last one at 1am and wake up at 1030am n take a piece of sub. I found that taking a quarter of it in the morning and a quarter of it(8mgsub) at night helped me wonders n I never went into rapid withdrawal. Now I only take an 8th of one so 1mg/day and I'm good! So best of luck! If you have any ?s or need someone to talk too u can ask!
Three days or prepare for hell lol. That's some bad information right there. If you don't know the answer stop giving people bad information please. When your withdrawal really hits and your feeling bad. That's the time to take suboxone.
Hi I'm 13 hours in not taking a pill I been taking 5 Vic's 7.5 a day for 2 years from a torn shoulder now I'm trying hard to get off of them can I take a sub now I have 8 mg sub but I only want to take 2 mg bc I only want to take them for 4 days until the withdraw is over or should I take 4 mg thanks
My situation is so similar, been getting prescribed norcos for 11 years. It sucks being miserable and in pain and sucks that pain management is so horrible and life controlling.
Once and for all nobody has to wait, there is no such thing as precipitated withdrawal's. If you take Suboxone and you feel like you're having withdrawals that's simply your opiate withdrawals and under treatment was the box and just take another strip and you'll be fine.
Like other people I've been on long term opiates but also been in the hospital with cancer and the doctors immediately gave me not just my pain medication but my Suboxone. There are no interactive problems. I think it's marketing propaganda to make people feel like super s*** in major withdrawals then when they take it three days later instead of immediately they feel like Sub is a godsend which it is, but if you wait three days to take it you've already been through the main part of withdrawal so don't even bother with subs, otherwise just take them immediately when you would've taken your next dose of opiates. There's no reaction. I know so many people that mix their opiates and Suboxone. There are no problems doing that.
Same here I've been perscribed oxycodone for a couple of years and every once in a while I will take my last oxy and go to bed and wake up and take 1/4 of strip and I'm good not high which I don't care for and deff not sick and I like doing that to get off oxys every now and then
i don't do d but I'm perscribed oxycodone and I have friends that do d and they said when there trying to get off that they have to wait until withdraws because strips have narcon in them and that works against opioids narcon is used for when someone overdoses so taking a strip after d will put you in more intense withdraws compared to just trying to kick so wait until you start getting sick
My story is almost damm near the Same and I don't no what to do
