Can you please identify? Thanks. ## Hi concernedmom, Based on the description provided, I've identified your pill as a 240mg Mylanta tablet, containing a combination of aluminum hydroxide + magnesium hydroxide + simethicone. The correct marking is actually an "M" as you first mentioned. Mylanta is an over the counter antacid used for treating symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease; including heartburn, gas, and acid indigestion. And for verification, the manufacturer is reported to be Johnson & Johnson/Merck Pharmaceuticals, who seem to be on some sort of joint venture. I hope this helps!
It had a line on one side and an s on the other side very small and orange ## Hi lulu, I haven't found a definitive match, but from what little bit I could gather there are reports suggesting that this particular pill may contain 40mgs of Famotidine (Durater), made by a company called Senosiain Labs in Mexico. If this is the case, it would help explain why references are so hard to come by on US search engines. Apparently they list it as being "peach" colored and not orange. It's also reported to be about a quarter of an inch in diameter; but maybe you could try contacting the manufacturer directly to see if they can verify this for you. More details (although in spanish) on this medication from Senosiain Labs can also be viewed here: senosiain.com.mx/assets/files/pdf/ex...

I was provided a new prescription for amox tr-k for an infected tooth/gum. After taking the 1st dose, I experienced an upset stomach 4 hours after taking it with food. I have decided to go back to the original prescription of pencillin, and am wondering if there are any adverse drug interactions that would require me to wait until the 12 amox tr-k dose time has expired, or if I can switch and take a dose of pencillin before going to bed? ## Hello, Steve! How are you? Nausea is a normal side effect of antibiotics, you may also experience dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. It would be best to take the most recent one you've been instructed to take by your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

this pill is not quite 3/4" long. My pharmacy substituted it for Gabopentin and when I questioned it they said it was a change of Mfg. I'm leery of it, it is larger than gabopentin and tends to give me indigestion. Please set my mind at ease. Thank you. ## Hello, Sue! How are you? Yes, these are 800mg Gabapentin tablets that are manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals. There may be a different inactive ingredient that could be causing your indigestion. Have you tried taking it with food? ## thank you so much, I feel much better.
My wife who came to US from abroad is using Ganaton which is not available in the US. Please indicate a substitute. Thanks. ## Hi Adam, Ganaton Od reportedly contains the active ingredient Itopride Hydrochloride (150mgs); which is used for treating symptoms of chronic gastritis. If your wife mentions this to her doctor, he/she will surely be able to suggest and/or prescribe an alternative that should be suitable for her. There are several types of medications that treat similar symptoms, such as an antacid or proton pump inhibitors. But based on my research, treatment of gastritis depends on the specific cause. And this is something her doctor needs to determine in order to prescribe the appropriate treatment option. I hope this helps!

this capsule is giben for backpain alongwith SAMONECPLUS n TIZAN 2. i just want to know is this prescription of subject item is the right prescrption? ## @pradeep, Just to confirm, Omeprazole is used to treat heartburn, and Domperidone is an antiemetic drug, that is typically used to treat symptoms of motion sickness (such as nausea and vomiting). So based on these indications I don't see how either of those options would be beneficial for back pain? The other two medications however, are meant to be used for pain relief (assuming you meant to say Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant). Samonec plus contains a combination of two non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs Aceclofenac + Paracetamol. The last time I purchased Prilosec at my grocery store the color was purple instead of the pick I am used to seeing. It also seems to taste different. Has there been a change or should I be concerned about these new colored pills? ## Hi Cheryl, The color of a medication doesn't usually have anything to do with its formulation.
