I have been taking Harvoni for 3 months now and am having nerve pain in my legs and lower back pain. Is anyone else taking Harvoni having any of these same side effects as me? Please help if you are able. Thank you

Me to also having pain in my left arm ! And high potassium issues effecting my heart !

No but I'm having pain in my left arm only. Has anyone else have had this problem,? and my potassium level is high. Had to change my diet ! Scared I'm gonna have a heartattack !

I started on harvoni to treat my hep-c 1a, a month ago. My afp is 6.6 but my a/g ratio is down to 1.0. Alt51 / Ast52 uml. Why the low a/g ratio?

Hang in there and keep drinking water, water and more water! Walk the talk, do whatever it takes to feel better! I smoke mmj, and yes i'm still taking pain meds and a valium! I finished on day 67! I felt bad and lost my job! All is good! Thanks.

I am suffering terrible pain, pain meds barely help , my muscles in my body feel like they are constricting all the time, I can barely sleep at night from the physical pain. I am sick of suffering and wonder if any of us will ever get compensation, Big Pharma owns the country right now and no attorney will take our case, even when death is involved

I went through it, before and during.Sometimes I get that now but I am getting pretty old and I've attributed these pains as typical of aging? Could I be wrong? If the Harvoni did this I would sure as hell deserve comensation if this caused the gastroparesis. Now I rarely leave the bed, except for the bathroom or kitchen. My quality of life SUCKS.

I am curious about what got you the diagnosis for Leukemia, I have severe joint, muscle pain that is horrific, narcotic pain meds barely take the edge off the pain I am in. I am just wondering what tests I might need to get in the future.
Thanks for any advice also how did they determine the crystals in your joints?

AJ, I thought I was doing ok with the common side effects of Harvoni. At 8 weeks no virus was detected in my blood. They convinced me to do another 4 weeks to help so no relapse. Those weeks did severe damage to my body. I now have Leukemia and my joints have crystals in the fluid they want to biopsy. I am weak with a lot of joint and muscle pain still 6 months after treatment. I am 62 and afraid this medication has changed my life forever. Stop after they cannot detect the virus.

that is not true, if you what a quitly of life I wait until some other meds come out this is for big pharma to make money, I do some very hard research before I take any thing , get on every hpc c site, and compare what all these people are talking about , I hope that this helps because it has ruined my life

I took harvoni for 8 weeks never had any side effects! This was 6 months ago now I am clear of hep C.

I haven't posted on here in months, I have been reading the comments and after a 5 out of a 12 week course (I couldn't finish) I AM NOT DOING ANY BETTER WITH THE SIDE EFFECTS and it's been almost a year. I had a knee replacement mid April and started Harvoni June 30th, I still have issues with joints, and pain all over! Anxiety is though the roof! I have panic attacks if I have to drive, and I use to drive a retirement bus for a living.. God forbid I should fall or hit something because the area never heals! X-rays show nothing! But my body doesn't feel nor move right. I had full intentions of having my other knee replaced but don't feel confident enough to do it.

I also have no energy, no desire for life, some nights I pray my father who passed 3yrs ago will come get me. I keep gaining weight and I was obese to begin with, all the Drs can say is maybe its menopause?? I hate who I've become... I use to see life though rose colored glasses, now I don't want to even leave the house. The Drs don't have any answers, evaluation after evaluation with no results. Nothing wrong with you? Talk to a counselor? About what? How death would be a blessing if this is how the rest of my life will be? I pray things will improve, but I see no light at the end of the tunnel.

Sherri, excellent post. I think if we had a proper database of patient profiles, age, prior treatment, concurrent meds, co-morbid conditions, it might be possible to tell in advance who was a poor candidate for Harvoni, more likely than average to get some nasty side effect.

I have had hep c 20 years, I am 63 ,during the last 5 years is when physical problems began,I am on my 4th day of Harvoni,high blood pressure is the only problem,really to be free of the contagious aspect of this disease will be a God send!

Charlie thank you for your post. You make some valid points. However I was hospitalized 3 weeks in treatment for pancreatitis. The md wanted me to stop taking Harvoni after reading fine print of side affects. Its been a year now and have more problems that I never had before treatment. I'm also extremely tried and muscle cramps along with tendinitis in my right shoulder. While I do believe with all my heart God is a divine healer Harvoni does have long term side affects that doesn't seem to improve.

You might want to read more about side effects in general before taking Harvoni. There are many who report horrible long term side effects. Others have no problems.

Hi Jenna for me its has been a yr since i finished harvoni but i'm very sorry to say my legs constantly pain & my knees & back hv gotten worse. I hv an appointment with a rheumatologist in Oct. This is Canada thats how long we wait. I can't stand too long due to the pain. I am beyond exhausted even if i am awake doing things for 3 hrs. I tolerate it in the daytime but at night the pain is worse i think bc i'm not moving. I take morphine for pain. I still would hv taken the harvoni tho. I hope it prolongs my life for awhile until transplant time. I am stage 4 & hv cirrhosis. My family Dr says i may hv RA or Fibromyalgia. I am 58 & still would hv taken the harvoni besides everyone's body is different. There is still a good chance u may get better. Don't give up.

Took harvoni and now my heart doctor says my cholesterol is off the charts. I know it has to be from taking harvoni because I have not changed one thing about my diet . Now I'm on 7 pills per day to try to bring it down. I'm scared - I've had a five way bypass plus 4 stents. I need help.
