How Long Does Methadone Stay In Your System? (Page 11)

Is Methadone completely out of your system in 72 hours, or does it take longer? Since Methadone seems to last longer that 4 - 6 hours, I was just wondering?

Metadone stays in your system for at least 3 weeks. I've been on 40mg a day for the last 2 years and when I get close to running out I take only one a day cause I do get tested. Once it did not show up and I was taking one a day for the last three days. My doctor was cool and did not cut me off but it does take a while for it to leave your system even if you drink a lot of water. I know this first hand.

My daughter was on methadone for a round 4 years previously to that she has been on other drugs heroin and others ... Thank god she is now completely drug free for 2 years now but she is still sweating all of the time running down her whole body .. can anyone help regarding all of this sweating as it is so awful for my girl ?Methadone should be banned it is the most horrible drug and it even eats its way into your bones ...

No that is BS alcohol is the one drug that stays in your system the longest… So 12 hours methadone will definitely not be out of your system… It usually takes 5 to 7 days or more depending on your metabolism

You are not stupid... I am an older woman who got involved with drugs and I am now off everything ( I hate the word clean as it infers that you were dirty ) for 15 years ... I was going through a rough patch and thought oh well a little won't hurt lol the little became a terrible road of destruction which nearly took my life now I am happily married and have been on many holidays with my wonderful husband who is a professional and also off all drugs ..got married 4 years ago dreams can come true ... So don't give up ...

Sub is cool but they all hve bad side affects....i my self went all the way dwn on mathodone to 1mlg...all this stuff is horriable good luck on ur recovery u can do it....

I HAVE BEEN ON METHADONE FOR 3 YEARS I HAVE DIABETES,HEP C AND APINCHED NERVE IN MY SHOULDER SO STARTED METHEDONE 3 YEARS ,I HAVE BEEN ON 44 MG AND I WOULD LIKE HELP THIS STUFF KEEPS BUGGING ME OUT IF I USE OXYCODONE 7.5-325MG CAN THIS HELP RID MY BODIES URINE OFF METHADONE AND HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE HELP PLEASE

hi I am David and I am on my fith day of my methidone cluck after four days of hell I am feeling alright now I recommend getting as Bruno as possible so you can sleep through the leg pain and back spasms. oh and don't do it in the first place.

I agree with you on that note. I also am on 40 mg a day and also get tested. When I run short I also take one a day till I see the doctor. I also came up negative once and he let me slide. I told him that I ran short and only took one a day for the last 3 days and he was cool about it but some doctors will cut you right there and then. so be careful.

Trust me David, I'm in your same situation. I've been off my methadone for the last couple days and I am hurting so bad and just don't know what to do. I went to a friend and told her and she gave me a fentanyll patch and so far it has helped with the legs and the pain.

Sadie, I do the same thing. I run short at the end of the month and I keep one a day for the last 3 days before I go to the doctor. I did come up nevetive one time and my doc was cool about it. But most doctors today will cut you right then and there. so be careful.

Methodone stays in your system for at least 10 day's. Even if you only take 30 mg a day. trust me I know this first hand.

I completely agree!!!! I was on it for like 4 to 5 yrs. I took 90mg a day for pain management. Although it helped the pain for awhile the side effects became too much once it stopped helping my pain. I detoxed myself over a 6 month period. No treatment or medical help just slowly weaned myself down. I will never go on it again! It was a horrible long grueling process but I did it. However now my pain is a lot worse so I have to do something else but never methadone again.

I'm going to rehab on the 23 ov jan . I need to be clean by this time my plan is 5 4 3 2 1 &half thats 6 days on methadone and then10 days clean will it show in my urine?

I have been on methadone for 7 years now and I'm really really wanting to get off... I have gone 4 days being my longest without taking it. And yes I feel like s*** but then I go back to the clinic and take my does and start over again.. just seeing if I can go 4 days without taking it is that a good sign that I can kick it Ok as far as withdrawals go?? Please someone let me know thanks

If u really want to get off it. U have to taper down til u r completely off of it. Its alot safer n easier then quitting cold turkey. Just have them lower ur does each month or week til ur down to zero n the withdrawal will be less sever thats what I done in I have been clean for almost 6 months now

Please hear me out.Ive been on methadone 30 yrs.yes along time.with 1.4yrs clean.why i stayed this long is a different story. bfor anyone judges me. Please dont stay on this drug.I am immune to my dose. im not young.the methadone is in my bones so bad i cn cry.I almost died coming off it. in 2002.its the 2nd weekan on you really get sick.I crawled to the toilet throwing up bowel. nurses took bags out of it.of coarse the leg pain. cold then hot goosebumps.sneezing.it was worse as i said 2 wks later plus ladies and men to. you will have actual orgasms for days. coming off. now this is being on this a long time.please just get off it.now while your young.and if ur taking benzos with it.withdrawel is twice that.I could not hold a cup for a month in my hand.- God Bless you all.I feel for each one of you.I thought it was the best thing i ever did.after my husband died at 25 an I was pregnant almost 30 yrs ago.plus my child went threw very bad withdrawals. they told me better then her on street drugs.they will tell you anything to keep you on meth.If anyone needs to ask a question.I will answer. as i said God Bless an get off the methadone.

yes it will help you to get off the methadone any narcotic will.except for vicodan.-youd still be uncomfortable.even a bottle of paragoric 8 oz.with 2 pyrobenzimine pills cooked up over stove.will help emensly. Old school addicts used this to hav no withdrawels.paragoric used to rub babys gums 2 green pills asmtha.pyrobenzamine.all cooked together come back poor opium.
