I too am on Triamterene and ran out about a week ago. I called my pharmacy to see if my refill was ready the day before I ran out. They told me I didn't have any refills left. I asked if they could call my Doctor and they said no that I would have to call him, so I did and was told they would call it in. The pharmacy gave me 3 pills until the Doctor called it in. So 5 days later I had been without for two days so, I called the pharmacy and they said yes it was ready. Naturally I asked how long it had been ready and they said since yesterday. I asked why they hadn't called me since my ankles have basically disappeared and I have ringing in my ears and head is all fuzzy. Anyways I took one yesterday morning and again this morning when I woke up and just took a few blood pressure readings and I've been taking my readings every 15 min and here they are: (keep in mind this is after two days of having the medication and took the last one at 9:00am and it is now 1:10) 192/128, 152/105, 225/155, 208/126, 155/102, 168/116. I'm worried because although it seems to be going down, it keeps spiking back up. I also take Norco for multiple cervical spine issues, xanax for anxiety and baclofen because the neck pain always settles just in between my shoulder blades. I think I should go to the hospital but maybe I should just give it more time and see if it continues to go down.
