Glycomet Sr 500 Mg Side Effects

my mother is taking glycomet sr 500mg her sugar level is 570 and now she is having chest pain since 5 days what may be the cause should i stop the medicine

This contains the active ingredient Metformin, which is an oral antidiabetic medication that's meant to lower and control blood sugar.

And what type of chest pain is it? Are you sure it's chest pain? Because this medication can cause some increased gas as a side effect, so that might be causing what she's feeling.

I am taking glycomet sr 500 and eltroxin( 0.5 mg) since a month.I am not diabetic. Its just a medicine for prevention as said by my doctor. I was having my periods in regular intervals(26-28 days). But this month I had my periods in 15 days(too early). Is it because of the medicines I am taking ?? Because I have seen people taking glycomet for other gynic problems. Please advise.
