Anti-diabetic medication information ## I have been using Glyburide 5mg since December of 2004. Three months ago in April of 2005 I have been noticing some muscle pain and fatigue has anyone notice this from this drug? I also use Gemfibrozil in conjunction with Glyburide. ## Yes, Glyburide is used to help lower, and control blood sugar levels. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, and hypoglycemia. It could cause such symptoms, if your blood sugar is dropping too low. How often do you check your level? How long have you been taking the Gemfibrozil? It is used to help lower cholesterol, and it is better known for causing muscle pain, fatigue, and weakness as side effects.

Since this is a generic medication, it is manufactured by several companies and each has different markings and may also look different. This is very common with generic medications, because it creates market competition and helps keep prices down. However, I can't possibly list them all or post pictures of all them for you. Hello. I am taking metformin Er 2000mg daily. Doc just prescribed glyburide 5mg once daily, additionally. The side effects for this one little 5mg green pill are just awful! I shake, get weak (low blood sugar), sweat, heart palpitations etc. Although I take it with food, I have very slow digestion so it can take up to 3-4 hours to hit me. I end up eating a sweet something to help the side effects. Which is ridiculous! My question is: how can a 5mg pill affect me so harshly? Eating sugar to counteract it is defeating the point! My average blood sugar is over 200. I am cutting out sugar, eating more protein , taking my meds. Metformin Er gives me no problems, but the normal metformin upset my tummy. ## Hello, Sharon! The A1C is basically an average that shows how your blood sugar has been doing over a certain period of time. There's no way to just suddenly lower it and make your sugar levels look as if they've been doing well. You'll need to take your medications, as prescribed and make sure to eat a health, low sugar/low fat diet, while also getting lots of exercise, so it starts to go down to normal levels. When it's a life sustaining medication, such as Metformin, you can pick it up a few days early. For these ones you don't have to wait until you are out or the exact day it is due. Have you called your doctor? Rather than switching, it would be best to have them phone you in a new prescription for your current medication.

Tablets regarding to Dibetics ## There are only certain details available to me about this drug because it is not available in the U.S. From what I have found, Triglucored Forte contains the active ingredients Glibenclamide (Glyburide) + Metformin HCl + Rosiglitazone Maleate, used in treating Type 2 Diabetes - this combination of active ingredients is also not available in the US under any brands either. i have a small thin blue pill , scored with 40 written on underside of score, could someone please help identify this? ## Hi Jeff, The closest match I can find based on the description provided is: Glyburide micronized (5 mg); which is in the drug class "Sulfonylureas" and is used in the treatment of type II diabetes. It is a small, round, blue pill with the imprint GG over 240 with a score in between. My guess is that the other imprints might have been smudged off at some point; leaving just a 40 below the score. White rectangular pill with marking of LDI followed by upside down LDI ## Not sure if this is the same thing. But someone else has a white oblong tablet imprinted "LDI Hoechst" that is glyburide 5mg - a diabetes medication. It is made by Hoechst-Marion in Mexico. Other people here on the site have also mentioned that this particular white oblong pill marked "LDI" was supposed to be Xanax when they ordered it in mexico, but may have gotten scammed. What is this pill? It arrived in a bottle of glyburide 5 mg. I think it is a stowaway from the mail-order pharmacy, As above: small, scored, pink pill, oblong in shape, inscribed with I 36 on one side. ## My guess is that it was an error, the tablet in question contains 2.5mgs of Glyburide. They were probably working to fill several orders of the same medication and one in a different dosage accidentally ended up in the wrong packaging. In case you're new to taking it, you can discover more Glyburide details here. You should report it to them, that way they can be more careful in the future. Since this is the same medication, it isn't necessarily a dangerous mix up, though someone may have some problems since it isn't the proper dosage, but if this happened with the wrong me...

very small /scored on one side (found in bottle for glybiuride 5 MG) ## It is also a 5mg Glyburide tablet, it is likely that the pharmacy may have been short a pill when they filled the prescription, so one from a different manufacturer was used to provide you with the full amount of tablets.
