Furosemide And Blood Thinners
UpdatedI am having a procedure done and can not have any blood thinners such as aleve or baby aspirin. I take furosemide and was wondering if it is a blood thinner?

No, it is a diuretic that is used to help remove excess fluid from the body to treat conditions such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and edema.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Are you on any other medications?
