Furosemide 20 Mg Tablet

Does this help with low blood pressure as well as high blood pressure?

Furosemide is a loop diuretic used in the treatment of congestive heart failure and edema. Other information I was able to gather shows that this drug can be prescribed for hypertension (high blood pressure). I have not seen any info on this drug pertaining to low blood pressure.

My husband has been taking furosemide 20 mg Qualitest brand for quite some time and now we're not able to get it. Is there a reason why? It's the only one that's worked for him. Please help.
