Fludac 20 Side Effects (Top voted first)

Just started taking Fludac 20. One tab in the morning. The doctor has prescribed it for one month. Recently I am suffering from anxiety and obsessed with any past event and try to re-create the situation and tension builds up . I am also getting less sleep very frequently. I am 65 years of age. Would request you to brief me about the side effects.

my wife is taking fludac 20 mg each morning and aftn along with anxit 0.5 mg last 7 days. doc advised anxit as she was experiencing unsteadiness thru out the day. now she remains very sad always not happy at all. how long it will continue and is there any harm taking fludac with anxit

I have advised to take fludac 20 mg daily one tab in the morning after breakfast. My problem was chest pain . But the reports are all clear regarding heart. But beat rate vary at regular intervals . Doc said that i m cyco . And have given these tablets and said to continue til a month . Should i take this tab or no ? Thing is before 3 years i was advised to take tufacne 20 mg tablet for acne. So m already experiencing some problems . Have read in internet that many side effects are related with tufacne tablet. Same thing i dont want to repeat again by taking fludac tablets . So plz advice . Experts plz plz plz .. . . . . Advice to lead my life happily . . .

dipak, it generally takes about 4 to 6 weeks for most medications to reach their full effectiveness in the body. Remember, these ones are working on a chemical in your brain called Seratonin, so it does take some time for them to fully work.

You'll know when it's doing as much as it's going to do for you, when any side effects you are experiencing, such as the drowsiness and nausea, have hit their peak and start to wear off.

If at that point it still isn't helping, then you will want to contact your doctor, because this might not be the right dosage or medication to help you.

Hi,i am taking fludac 20 mg from last 1 year after breakfast and 1 Stablon(tianeptine 12.5 mg)at bed time.I am suffring from dipression from last 8 years and taken lot of medications but i am feeling okj after starting these two medicines from last year.Can you tell me how i can derease the dosage slowly as i know these medines have the bad withdrawl symtoms.i do not want to continue for very long period which may lead to permanent solution in future.My liquor intake has also increased from last 2 years as i feel better after taking alcohol.

Sir, I am 22. asked to take Fludac 20 after breakfast as I am said to have OCD and ITR prob, I didn`t pay attention in study for last ! year, but will not the medicine will Decrease down my normal growth while i have low libido, and also a general tendency of vomiting. Plz Reply I am fearing to start it.

Fludac contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight gain.

Unfortunately, not every medication works for everyone, some of them can even cause the opposite effect of what they are supposed to.

Have you spoken to your doctor about this, yet?

It may not be the right medication for you and you may need to try something else.

yes take it for minimum of three months continuously and for good outcome you may have to continue for six months, followed by tapered dose over next three months...but if you stick for about six to nine months relapse rate will be very low otherwise relapses will be very high

I recently gave birth via c-sec post which i was prescribed fludac. Soon after taking fludac, i developed anxiety/panic attacks for which i was put on ativan alongwith fludac. It was fine while i was taking ativan but once i stopped ativan i have had anxiety attachs again. Took a second opinion & was asked to stop fludac completely. seemed to have worked since i feel perfectly fine. want to know if stopping fudac will cause a relapse later.

Sourav, Fludac contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant and they are well known to cause sexual problems, as side effects.

Have you contacted your doctor? This may not be the right medication for you to use, if it is causing that severe of an issue.

I AM A 75 YEAR OLD LADY. I GOT MY REPLACEMENT OF MY BOTH KNEE JOINTS. MY BP IS UNDER CNOTROL WITH MEDICATIONS I AM ADVISED TO TAKE FLUDAC ONE TAB IN THE MORNING AND IRON TABS FOR ONE MONTH.
I DO NOT GET PROPER SLEEP AFTER THE OPERATION IS IT DUE TO THESE TWO MEDICINES?I TAKE ROPARK AND PREGABID ME FOR MY REST LESS LEG SYNDROME FOR SOME YEARS WHICH HAS GIVEN ME NO SIDE EFFECTS

Dear sir,

I'm 42 married male having loss of libido perhaps because of taking medicines like viagra, pari CR etc prescribed by physician for PE before 10 yrs and since then I got libido problem. I consulted many doctors till now who prescribed Ropark 1 thrice a day, Pramipex .5, Fluvoxin, Buspin 10, zypion etc but no result is seen. I took tetrolfol plus with Ropark 2 but no improvement. Despite Homeopathic and Ayurvedic drugs showed no effect. I'm having a loss of libido and urge, and despite that, my clinical investigations are normal (hormonal, thyroid, lipid profile USG semenogram etc). Kindly suggest any thing else. 10 yrs ago my libido and urge were very good, which I lost after taking these medicines for PE.
