UpdatedI need a good dr. in Indianapolis that is persistent. One that will help me control my pain, and help control my very high anxiety... Please Help!!!!!!
Hey, live in lafayette, looking for a doctor, any help? Much needed
Hi I really need a good doctor myself just got my insurance thanks
DJ...please share with me a doctor that will prescribe narcotic pain medicine. I've gone through physical therapy, painful injections which made me a lot worse from the center of pain management, meditation and by the way you can't meditate all day every day when you have children and your up all night because of your pain. I've been dealing with this for 12 years and I'm on disability chronic pain for the past 12 years. My situation is so dire that I needed no attorney to get the disability approved. That's how I am. I am truly considering suicide for the first time in my life and it's getting more frequent because I am in constant agonizing pain. Please please please help me find a good doctor that has no problem prescribing me what I need. I'll even drive to Martinsville Morgantown or more and I'm from Indy. I'm off morning the loss of myself and need your help before I follow through just to get pain relief because I feel that nobody will help me. This is the worst feeling ever. A response is pretty dire. Thank you so much in advance for anybody that will help me.
I have been in pain management for several years i am 50 years old with rheumatoid arthritis and sciatica and recently my doctor wanted me to await for scripts to be delivered by a privatized pharmacy well the pharmacy of course didn't have the quantity so I picked my script up and took it back to my regular pharmacy and today I received a letter saying my doctor could not help .e any longer now i need to find a doctor and havnt had any luck if u can please let me know I need a doctor
I am looking for one as well can you point me in the right direction?
Can you still help? I could really use it. I haven't been able to find a good doctor yet.
I have been on pain meds for about 5 yrs for spinal stenosis...Had to find another Dr and did so in at St. Vincent's...Put now after prescribing me pain meds he is referring me to a pain clinic. I have found one but we aren't on the same page, I don't like the way the office treats me at all. I need to find a good office that treats their patients as human beings....Please help. I would like to be as close to my home town as possible..I'm about 40 miles West of Indianapolis, IN thanks in advance.
I have a severe case of Scoliosis in my lower back and hip joints, I have had Cortisone injections they don't help one Dr. went in my hip joints and burned the nerve endings it was a nightmare of hurting and didn't help. I have been on opoid medications for years, that all i have found that do help. I also suffer with Osteoporosis, and Osteoarthritis. Like i said the opoid meds. is all that helps. I am in pain 24/7, i can't go shopping or do much of anything. I need help
folks,
I too suffer from chronic intractable pain from an autoimmune disorder that makes functioning a challenge at the very least. I have found by using half the energy I expelled doctor searching, pleading with providers, fighting with others who didn't understand or just wanted to diss me (in my opiate induced misinterpretations) relief has been possible. Evidence based studies now clearly identify that these powerful opiate/opioid medications often a god send for those in acute, post surgical or palliative care conditions have long term benefits for those cursed with chronic intractable pain conditions. Such is the reason the majority have little success in obtaining a cohesive continuum of care with narcotic pain medications. This trend towards opiate free relief will only grow with this new administration in Washington who are CLEARLY ANTI OPIATE INCLINED. I would suggest finding a provider and using every tool available since the future of pain medicine is bleak, speaking in an opiate sense. The belief is by removing these narcotics for pain patients they somehow will be motivated to rejoin the work force. Ludicrous right? No doubt but that trend seems to be the future for millions of us debilitated by chronic pain issues. God bless us all!!!!
I am in severe pain all the time. I have a lot of stomach issues one being they found a tumor. Everywhere I go none of them want to help me with the pain.. I have never abused the system and so I'm not sure why I'm not getting any help. They make me feel like it's all in my head. I can't take Ibprohen due to my other stomach issues. Then I suffer from severe depression from bipolar and they won't give me my meds. They put me on seroquil and lithium and kps but a doctor at the office on Ohio street in Anderson Indiana abruptly took me of my meds I haven't been able to get them back. I need help with my bipolar its rapidly getting worse due to a recent death and then had to put my mom in a nursing home because of Alzheimer's I am taking both of these very hard. i need help looking for a good doctor that excepts my insurance! Anyone have any advice or suggestions to where I can go?!
I want a doctor that prescribes pain meds and not just injections
I wish you all the best of luck :( the current opioid prescribing "guidelines" are treated more as absolute law by doctors, and for good reason-it doesn't take much to find the DEA knocking down your door when you're keeping people at the level of pain management they need, particularly those who have been long-term patients and require higher dosages and more breakthrough pain protection. Cutting opioid prescriptions back to inhumane levels is considered a "cure" for the explosion of substance misuse in the last decade or so, but all that's happening is desperate people in terrible pain are finding themselves with nowhere to turn to achieve a basic quality of life. Since the crackdown on pain medication began, illicit drug use has surged and with it, overdose deaths. Street drugs are of unknown purity, and often adulterated with stronger substances. People are being forced into criminality to survive. It won't stop unless we, as a people, accept some basic truths that might be hard to swallow for some-most specifically, that there will always be a demand for recreational drugs, and there will always be people who go too far with that use, and that they-along with chronic pain sufferers and people with mental illnesses-are human beings who deserve health and happiness. Full decriminalization of drugs, an evidence-based approach to addiction treatment, and removing the stigma and lack of education surrounding drug use of all kinds is the only way we're going to save each other from the misery so many of us are living in right now. There is NO reason why a person in pain should be denied access to relief. It is largely stigma, poor understanding of both recreational and problematic drug use, and an ill-informed belief that drug use is an inherently immoral act that has put us in this situation, and it hurts my heart to see so many here suffering because of it. Other countries have implemented these strategies and are much better off for it. It's a sick society we're living in, and not because of the drug misuse. That's only a symptom. We would do well to treat that symptom with the best possible methods if we can't cure the many causes of the physical and emotional pain that lead to use and misuse of opioid drugs on a mass scale, which is a much larger and complex problem than that of the drug use and misuse itself. I'm doing what I can to change things, and I hope that they do someday change, for all our sakes. Much love to you all. May you be comforted.
Looking for a chronic pain doc who perscribe pain meds.
I'm doing the same. Just moved from Chicago and finding a new psychiatrist is hard enough plus the wait to get in! On top of that finding a pain management dr, I had my general dr in the same hospital network back home and saw her every 3 months or if there was a med change to stay ON TOP and look for interactions! Trying to find the same here. I will let you know if I find any!
I would love to get involved changing things- I'm 37 and suffer chronic nerve damage and pain for 4 yrs from a surgery in my right hand where my middle finger hits my palm. You realize how much you use your dominant hand- not only did I need to drop nursing school bc of it and can't work as a cna bc of it. I'm also an artist. So I've lost much more than just being free of pain medication to survive the day. Mine have been cut to a level I can't do anything without pouring sweat and severe pain now and was once very athletic and now sedentary as the pain sucks your energy away. I have never abused or misused my medications... it's awful we who NEED it to sleep, function, contribute to society cannot bc of a few people who misuse and abuse them. Let me know if I can help in any way. The prejudices against people on narcotics needs to stop as chronic pain like any condition is a SERIOUS and never ending one and at this rate we will all be in agony told to take otc Tylenol.
I recently was referred to pm and paid 150 dollars and the dr said he couldn't see me due to the fact that he doesn't accept cash payments from clients under 35 yrs old cuz 90% of the others are addicts. I'm 30 yrs old and had my 3 cartridges fractured in multiple spots and my larynx and also fractured my adams apple. I underwent 3 different surgeries to repair these things. I now have a titanium plate in my adams apple to keep everything structured and secured. My voice is totally different and hurts to do almost anything. I was incarcerated when this incident happened and was sent home with none of my meds. I was taking 4 10/325 norco's a day plus 2 15mg morphines a day. The trauma was so bad that now i suffer from ptsd, anxiety, bi polar, adhd and severe depression. I had to go to the er to get my prescription of xanax because it takes forever to get into a dr. I have stacks of medical records showing all these things and what my injuries were and what will be the long lasting effect; such as chronic pain, nerve damage, ptsd, anxiety, bi polar, depression and adhd. I have a referring dr to pain management but it just takes so long. Are there any doctors in my area or surrounding cities or towns that can help me? I live in lafayette Indiana but surrounding towns would be kentland, rensselear, brookston, williamsport, crawfordsville etc.
Could you please share info of who to contact regarding xanax medication mgmt doc? Pt doesnt want to see psyc. been on for 8yrs and w law changes current doc does not want to continue to prescribe.
