Filling An Rx For Percocet, Same Dr. Prescribing (Page 3) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI was issued 2 scripts from the same Dr. For 10mg/325 Oxycodone. Due to Surgery last week total Hip Replacement! I know I will have to pay out of pocket cause my insurance just filled at beginning of the month. He gave me 2 due to tolerance & going through PHYSICAL THERAPY 2 to 3 times a week! Why won't a pharmacy fill this for me if I am getting them from the same Dr?
Re: Kristyne (# 4)
Some pharmacies won't fill what they call "trinity" meds, so if you have a pain med, benzo, and muscle relaxer you can only get two of the three filled
Have the dr write a script for a different mg. So get another script fot different mg and take in the 10 mg script. You cant have 2 scrips with the same mg
Tommy,
It looks like there are two Paul's in here, I am the one asking for the link to the forms to fill out for bad Percocets (U17-generics.) I have some that I won't take either so they are up for testing from me too.

First of all Sorry about what you are going through but most people should know that Pharmacist Are God's Now or so they think. Your Pharmacist Will NOT fill them. If I were you, I would call your Dr. that wrote the prescriptions and make him change it. PRONTO- tell them what's going on and they should change it unless you've taken to many. With your surgery it's probably Take As Needed, Please be careful and Good Luck. Please Don't Sit around in PAIN!!! All else fails try another pharmacist and TELL them what's going on. Good Luck-
Hi all~
My hubby gets three prescriptions every three months. And they are all post-dated. I bet you this doctor just forgot to post date them. I would call and double-check. You don't want to get in any trouble. That wouldn't be good. Good luck and I hope you feel better.
Tommy, got your message about FDA. To tell you what I think about if a doctor wrote 2 scripts on the same date, he is playing games with you or he is not a real doctor. If the script is close within the date, like if you had to go back because you had to use more for pain because of your developed tolerance or the bad generics, you will probably have to pay cash IF the pharmacy will fill them for cash. If you cannot find one to fill them, your best bet is to get the doctor to call the insurance company first then the pharmacy after if you have to pay cash. For Humana they have I think what is called a pre-authorization where the doctor has to call the insurance co to get something special. That is Humana though. I don't know about other companies or what type of insurance you have.
Paul ET.
PS. Sometimes I bug the Humana to call the doctor and vice versa. Keep on them. Good Luck though.
Re: Maria (# 18)
Wow, pharmacies now know more than Doctors?
Every month, on the same day I fill...
1) Klonopin 1mg ^ x3
2) Flexeril 10mg ^ x3
3) Suboxone 8mg x1
4) Ambien 10mg
5) Prilosec 20mg x1
6) Lamictal 15mg x1
7) Topamax 100mg x2
8) Seroquel 15mg x1
9) Effexor. 75mg x3
10) Ranidine
11) Furosemide 40mm x1
Over counter....
12) Multi Vitamin
13) Vitamin D
14) Vitamin B12
15) Iron
16) Vitamin C
17) Monthly B12 shot
My husband is a heart patient, 3 heart attacks, and also PTSD, chronic pain, the list goes on. He gets about double the amount of prescriptions I get.
So I need to choose anxiety, chronic pain so I don't wd, or muscle relaxers, so I can wash my floor, do a batch of laundry or just sit for a long car ride? I would change Pharmacy's, call Corporate for written policy...although nobody can make a pharmacist fill any prescription.
Re: Nick (# 14)
GREAT post Nick. We need to get the government out of our medicine cabinets. I suffer greatly from RSD a nerve disorder. Most days I can hardly get out of bed because the pain of walking. I run out of my meds from time to time but I can't get a refill until the 30 days is up. Mind you I am taking 5mg of Norco which barley touches the pain. Most days I just don't feel like being here any more.
Re: Helen (# 29)
It is a pain. They only do it with C2 pain meds it's cuz all those meds can cause breathing problems and even more so when combined so they just won't let people fill all three cuz if someone overdoses the pharmacist's can be held responsible so since the government is getting involved the pharmacist's are now worried about dispensing these kind of meds
Re: LAK (# 34)
I have no idea why you are so hostile with me? My original post was supposed to say "the people who illegally sell them or abuse them are to blame" for strict control. So unless you resell your pills or are an addict, keep your hostility to yourself.
Re: Nervie (# 38)
The cause of death was Kratom? I have been using this product for over 2 Years now with no bad side effects at all. Hundreds of thousands of people use this. It Saved My life!
Hi~
I did answer your question. It's probably most likely was a backup script for the following month. No way would a doctor do that. Not nowadays. No way no how. Call your doctor.
Good luck......
Hi~ I'm sorry for your loss. Kratom can be addicting for certain individuals. When some people try to go off Kratom they might wish they died. Go on these YouTube videos and listen to people that are going off of Kratom. Good luck.
I also wanted to say sorry for your loss too golfman. I have never heard of Kratom. Is that like GHB or something. I really don't know but it seems like one of those that can slip by people without knowing. I thought health foods were relatively safe but who in the hell really knows. Someone mentioned the FDA getting involved in that market. Maybe a good idea.
Perhaps he gave you one, in case of emergency (severe pain) to be filled after the first script was done. Perhaps you misunderstood and he made an error on first script and meant to tear it up. And you accidentally picked it up. Just fill one now, fill the second one when the first is done. Why fill all at once? Hopefully you got in touch with the doctor to straighten this all out.
Hello everyone and anyone who can tell me where the real Kratom is available. If my stomach can tolerate it, it might be very useful for me. I would appreciate any knowledgeable replies. I was being prescribed Morphine but I just cannot afford the doctor visits anymore. Especially when the DEA I am presuming makes you attend every month. I was able to go back after a 6 month stretch but and had to fill out a bunch of forms as if no one knew me, then kept getting asked....Well if you are in so much pain why haven't you made your appointments. What a stupid question when the doctor charges $225 per visit because he is not in my network and if he was it would be $50, plus the meds can cost up to $80 depending on where they are filled and I do not sell my drugs. So I have to ask..... When was the last time a doctor has not charged me? I guess when I was a kid and my mother paid for it. Anyway, is Kratom totally legal? Is it expensive? Does it really work?
Re: Paul (# 48)
Hello Paul, I had reacted to someone's comment that said they had lost someone because of Kratom. When infact, there has Not been one death attributed to Kratom. It is a Powerful Pain Killer that Everyone here should know about. It is Saving Lives every single day. Google or YouTube search 'Kratom saved my life'. It is a Very Effective painkiller that does Not take lives like these pills do. If anyone needs pain relief, please research Kratom. You will no longer be under the Thumb of a Doctor.
Re: David (# 55)
Kratom...what exactly does it do, and make you feel? I tried Vaping CBD, and it relaxes me. Is it like that?
Thanks for the reply guys. Generally I don't like to go outside the FDA for my meds. Sounds like this is a potent one. I've never tried GHB or any Synthetics. About the only things I have gotten were what they sell in grocery stores and health foods such as Kava Kava and Melatonin. Not too sure of this one though. Sounds like one has to be very careful with this one. I'm in Louisiana so I presume it is legal here. Don't know if I want to go that direction but thank you for the info as well.
Re: Question (# 57)
The best way I can describe kratom's effects for me personally, is that I get a warm fuzzy feeling, contentment, relaxed body/mind, increased endurance when I get on the elliptical, pain relief, similar mind/body feeling to marijuana (but not quite the same and with no impairment in my ability to get on with my day)... I guess it may be close to CBD in effects, but probably more pronounced depending on the strain and dose. I've actually seen articles on the web refer to kratom as the CBD of opioids... I have taken CBD as well and it relaxes me too. Red strains of kratom are touted for relaxation, insomnia and pain relief - while green strains are a little more energetic with the same properties - and white/yellow strains are very energetic with less of the other properties. NOTE: Higher doses tend to be more sedating and lower doses tend to be more energetic (this goes across the board for all strains in my experience).
Here's a compiled list of kratom's attributes/benefits I found at: "Benefits of Kratom"
Hope this helps!
@golfguyjoe,
Thanks for the feedback golfguyjoe! It's encouraging to know that others out there are aware of kratom's immense potential. I truly think it's one of the most underrated natural alternatives for pain, depression and anxiety. Your posts are very much appreciated!
