Fill Oxycodone Prescription (Page 46) (Top voted first)
UpdatedCannot fill them anywhere in Bradenton or Sarasota. Please help I have a real doctor and the pharmacy I have been going to the past year in my city says they will no longer fill out of county. Does anyone know of a pharmacy in Bradenton or Sarasota that can help a patient fill qty 180 oxycodone 30mg? Please help. On the verge of getting deathly ill w/out meds! Thank you.
There's a web-based pharmacy that is real called 'injured workers pharmacy'. My husband has been filling his rx there for 5 years and never had a problem. They work with you and with lawyers but you don't have to be hurt. They send you a free mail in order, you put your rx in it and it comes back in 24 hours with your med, via ups. They will let you pay or insurance and if you got hurt at work they charge you nothing; they bill workmans comp. They save my husband 1000's.

My son is a 3 x gun shot victim. Some bastards tried to rob and car jack him. 6 yrs in pain and severe ptsd. (1 .45 bullet thru neck, 1 still in shoulder and 3rd in left leg). Gets rx for 70 oxycodone 30 mg. (Big guy and high tolerant). The usual pharmacist who knows about this was not in today, the lady didnt look him up to see his record. Simply put "ck tomorrow, dont have any). He is ridget in pain. Never ever asks for "earlier" fills. Hoping his regular pharmacist be in tomorrow. Just didn't feel right. I pick up his meds as he is mostly home bound and on disability.
First of all, I will tell you why they will not fill 180 30 mg oxycodone. That is too many. By law, you have to be on a long-term and a short-term medicine. You are on a point system now and each pill adds up to so many points but the funny thing is is that it metabolizes into a morphine point which doesn't compare to oxycodone! This country has gone nuts with this war against oxycodone. It's mostly the young people that are sticking a needle in their arm and are overdosing. It's horrific and disgusting for people who are in true pain. Everyone has been cut to 84 a month and as I said you should have a long-term medicine like morphine, Oxycontin, Etc - which the prices are outrageous! They are doing this to shut down the pain management doctors. They have caused a pandemic (not an epidemic) for illicit drug use and people are dying left and right because Lord knows what is in the drug! I know that young kids are in pain too but I don't believe these kids need the amount of meds that they are being prescribed. I used to get 240 oxycodone 30mg a month along with 56 40mg oxycontin and I am now cut to 84 30mg oxycodone a month and one 80mg oxycontin a month. I have no lower spine. Every lumbar has an annular tear which means that the discs have dried up and collapsed on top of each other and now I have a tumor on my sacrum. They feel that I am over-prescribed on meds and want to cut me again. Now this is the reason why nobody will fill your 180 a month. You are on a point system. The government has done this and don't be surprised if you're cut in half within the month.

The DEA and Pam Bondi are a lot of the reason why people are turning to illicit drugs. They're easier to obtain and cheaper.

Try this new pharmacy called Apollo Health Services in Ruskin, FL at 813-938-1868 and see if they can help you.

That's what they did to me. I moved all my meds to another pharmacy and all of a sudden they got them for me. The others have fillers in them causing migraines and horrible heartburn. I put kvk brand only or I don't fill them with them. I have no problems anymore. They are more expensive is why they are doing it. Good luck...

The FDA needs to come out and tell what changes have been made to these pain meds people are taking (list it on the bottle). It's like the FDA doesn't have to play by the rules and post these changes and the people taking them don't need to know what they are taking. The FDA is allowing Mallinckrodt to make a drug inferior to the name brand that is hurting people and cant make them take it off the market because Mallinckrodt filed a lawsuit. The FDA is not working for the people but working for the big pharm. co.

I am moving to Royal Palm Florida. I have had chronic back pain and OA of my joints. I am worried I won't be able to get a script for oxycodone and Xanax for anxiety. Can u help me find a doctor or pain clinic and if I do get the scripts where do I fill? I have Medicare and Medicaid. Any help is appreciated.
Re: Comments (# 3)
Is there a person like you in California?
I have been in pain management for over 5 years and was cut off with no consultation, no weaning, no alternate medication to mitigate pain or withdrawal symptoms. When I asked my Dr. if he knew what withdrawal symptoms were like he said yes, when I asked him if he remembered that he also treats me for high blood pressure and BP is one of the 1st things withdrawals will affect, he said nothing, and when I asked him if he would prescribe me suboxone, he said no.
Re: PATRICIA (# 2)
Walmart will not fill an oxycodone script unless there is an immediate acute situation such as recent surgery. They told me ongoing conditions must be dealt with by therapy, OTC meds such as Aleve, ibuprophen, etc. No longer do they fill for chronic ongoing painful conditions. My doc said they have used a model set by a Walmart in Ohio, that has the most stringent policy in the US. All Walmarts have adopted this policy. They will only fill oxycodone if there appears to be a taper going on, and then only for a few months. Then you're on your own. Had to change pharmacy to get my script filled. Even with a document from doctors office with list of ongoing painful diagnoses. So yes...they will and do reject legitimate properly written, within county, scripts. But then, that just may be Walmart, but I believe it is a more widespread effort to wean all of us, pain in the butt, chronic pain sufferers off the very meds that allow us to enjoy a level of functionality we would not have without the meds.
Hi there. I'm in Australia and been on Oxycodone for 15 years. We don't have the problems you seem to have over there getting them. A few years ago they changed the formula so you couldn't abuse it and do whatever but they changed back. The best stuff I ever had was a liquid (opium based) but can't get it now, but I know all the drs over here are stopping the oxy and giving out other s***. It looks like we're following you guys.

Pharmacies saying they are “OUT” is what many of the Pharmacies are telling people even if they can fill a prescription. They are tired of being robbed by addicts. I went to a Pharmacy in Florida that I had known and done business with for over 20 years for various prescriptions. One month when I went to fill my hydrocodone prescription I was told by the tech that they were out. I was called by the Pharmacist who I have known for along time and they told me to come back later that day and they would fill my prescription. I was told at that time that EVERY person that was not known to the individual taking the prescription for any pain medicine was told they were “out” because of the high rate of robberies. I was told that many times someone would come in and just ask if the Pharmacy could fill the prescription because they were going to get a script later that day or tomorrow. A couple of hours later another person would come in and rob them. I guess they found a pattern and just told anyone that asked that they were “out”. If a Pharmacy is truly out that could mean that they were at their limit for Schedule 2 pain meds. MOST Pharmacies, even if you are not known to them, will call the prescribing Doctor and ask if the script is legitimate and then fill it or at least order the pain medications to fill it with a turnaround of 3 to 4 days. Or they may even make a call to one of their other Pharmacies and see if they can fill it and send you there. It is inconvenient but that unfortunately is the climate we live in now.
Re: PATRICIA (# 2)
Unfortunately, with the climate for pain medications being what it is a Pharmacy can make up their own rules. They do not need anyone’s approval. Maybe, they are making that rule because they are now on the new limits on what amount of Schedule 2 pain relievers that they receive every week and they think that they can only serve their County. I lived in Florida when the pill mills were operating without almost any restrictions. There were no records kept and a person could go from place to place in one day and get several hundred Oxycontins in a DAY. In response Florida has passed the most draconian laws about filling pain medication scripts. Most people agree with their new laws but it is awful policy for the honest Chronic Pain patient. They have sacrificed honest people who have never abused their scripts to go after the street addicts and drug dealers. I guess it is their idea of “collateral damage”.

Thank you for your support. However, I will never open another Facebook account. Facebook accounts can be weaponized against you and they have been caught using your data in ways that the account holder has not designated. Not to mention how Facebook has been (according to them) “hacked” thereby exposing even more of your personal data. If Facebook is the only way to communicate with you then that will rule me out.
Re: Comments (# 4)
Pharmacists are “playing Doctor” much more frequently now. They do not have your medical records, they, of course, do not examine you (they are not qualified by training to even do this) but they comment on your treatment constantly. Pharmacists are trained to know which medicines may react with other medications. That is all they should comment on. Long term chronic pain patients should never be “run through the gauntlet” by a Pharmacist.
Re: Comments (# 8)
Back when the Pharmacies were being held up on a regular basis the Pharmacies started avoiding phone calls on any type of pain medications, which manufacturer they carry, or when they will be able to fill your prescription. Why? Because they knew that potential thieves were calling them up to find out if a certain medication was available and then send in one of their “associates” into the Pharmacy to hold it up. They told everyone that it would take a”couple of days” to fill their prescription when they KNEW they had the medication on hand because they figured this will deter thieves. I was known to a certain Pharmacy for 20 years and was told they could not fill my prescription for a “couple of days”. I was called an hour later and told to bring in my prescription because they could now fill it. I spoke to the Pharmacy manager who I had known for many years and she told me what was gong on. She said that if the tech that took your script did not know you that was what they were trained to say to you. This is the world we live in today.
Thanks, so many in need.
Re: Comments (# 3)
Please remember that each Pharmacy can make up their own rules as they go. It does not matter what the Federal or State government says. If a person complains to upper management a lot of the time the lower store management will only get an “attaboy”. A lot of pharmacies would just as soon drive the chronic pain patients away from their pharmacy to another pharmacy. They do not care if they lose a little money. If the pharmacy gets a reputation for not serving pain medications they feel that it will lower their reputation in the crime community and they will be held up less.
No dice ....they stopped it everywhere unless u have cancer ....try subutex will save your life
Re: Verwon (# 9)
All you posted is the truth and you have all of these "negative" votes? Why? Many do not like hearing the FACTS. I was told by a Pharmacist that has worked for the same large Pharmacy chain for 10+ years that they have instituted many security measures and the one about saying they do not have any Schedule 2 pain medications on hand and cannot/will not fill a prescription is TRUE. The major Pharmacies have found out that people like to work in teams of 2 or more (usually a female calls in and a male does the robbery) and call in and ask if the Pharmacy has a certain opioid medication on hand and can they fill a prescription for ___ pills. If they answer in the affirmative then the caller sends in another of their "team" members to rob the store. There are other wrinkles to this "ploy" but the Pharmacies have been onto them for 2+ years and they ARE taking countermeasures. Some of you may not like this information but at least in the two States I have lived in it is a FACT.
