Fill Oxycodone Prescription (Page 40) (Top voted first)
UpdatedCannot fill them anywhere in Bradenton or Sarasota. Please help I have a real doctor and the pharmacy I have been going to the past year in my city says they will no longer fill out of county. Does anyone know of a pharmacy in Bradenton or Sarasota that can help a patient fill qty 180 oxycodone 30mg? Please help. On the verge of getting deathly ill w/out meds! Thank you.
Ha I used to go to him 13 years ago and hes in it for the money. I dont get it, I have a legal rx and cant fill it anywhere. I have aetna insurance they assured me that they would fill the RX as I was apprehensive. Then I saw that the order was cancelled and they put some foreign a**hole on the phone and the only thing I understood was policy change. They should've told me this before and were unapologetic. Now im back at square one and f***ed. Im in port Charlotte and every pharmacy reserves the pills they get for their regulars. It's just f***ed up
Carlos, I remember months ago arguing with another poster over Obamacare, and how this person thought it would help pain patients. Not so. OC is slated to take $716B out of Medicare to fund its program over the next 10 years, which has already caused many doctors to start denying Medicare coverage to new and some existing patients.
The BS about premiums going down was also a lie, as already this year (by May 1st) I had exceeded my caps upper limit and had to start paying out-of-pocket, despite paying even more at the front end. Thankfully, I have secondary coverage via the wife; if not, I couldn't afford the costs.
We also see private insurers (like Aetna) getting out of the business because they simply can't compete against a government program that essentially has limitless resources, even when they are losing money. Aetna was a good company that individual patients could turn to for coverage, but the DEA even started pressuring them over their mail order policies.
The bottom line is as these government programs become less sustainable, they will get into picking and choosing who and what is covered and sadly, because of the stigma now attached to pain medicine, pain patients will get the short end of the stick.
For those looking for change its time to start writing and calling local congressmen...frequently. There are as many of us, if not more, who are getting adversely harmed by all these new policies than those who selfishly abused these medicines. Finding an attorney is also a chore to take on an issue like this, but someone might want to check into Mark Nejane to see we're he stands. He is already defending some of the Dr's who've been unfairly "charged" (1st/2nd degree murder) and may be sympathetic to the patients position, as well. I believe he's already had a couple jury acquittals.
As is always the case, government overreacts to a problem that leads to more problems than the original complaint. How many deaths are now happening because of suicide or self-medicating patients who can't get their medicines. How many legitimate pain patients are turning to illegal means to acquire these medicines...or worse, dabbling with even more dangerous substances, risking further disability and death. I just don't see things getting better unless we take a stand. Sorry for the rant.
It would be nice if docs would increase our doses substantially so we could stockpile them when the time comes for us getting cut off---they are trying to pass laws for ALL opiates to be anti abuse which means there will be more poison in it to kill us-theyre also trying to make a 90 day maximum for noncancer patients
So are there any legitimate mail order pharmacies that will fill my scripts? I have a script for methadone and dilaudid
Why didn't you go to school to become a doctor.. If u feel the need to question their expertise. And for you to turn down people on your thought of them 'looking like they are not in pain'..how exactly do you determine wether someone needs a medication or not when you can not prescribe that medication and have no knowledge to their health issues. Also as a pharmacist..shouldn't you be worried that a medication like that is not recommended to stop cold turkey...especially if that person has other health issues..it may cause death. Its sad that now our home pharmacies that we have used for years filling the same Roxy script for the same #180 and now all of a sudden decide that its no linger needed for that person. And the real problem that bothers me is after being denied the medication ...that pharmacist will say..try the mom and pop...when let's face it that is where the drug dealers go... I have to ask myself what is the world coming to when I can't get my scripts filled at my home pharmacy that ive been using for years..all because of the pharmacists like yourself choose to not only discriminate but question a real doctors reasonomg for a medication..when u as tge pharmacist have no knowledge as to the reason or extent of anybodys pain. Also for u to say that us getting upset wont get us no where and that we should be nice..blows me away..your playing with others quality of life.
I am wondering what state you live in? I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Federal, and my state is not setting up a health insurance exchange but I have not received any notice of cancellation. Just wondering if I need to check into this or not. Thanks
It would be nice if we could just jave an opiate/opioid dispensary like the medical marijuana patients have. Have our yearly doctor visit have them give us a card and WE GET WHAT WE NEED monthly at our own discretion. The plants God put here for our use should be legal anyway. I had horrible restless leg last night because they couldnt fill my script till this morning. I took a non controlled gabapentin and my God! I went to relieve my self in the middle of the night and th trip to the restroom was alike a bad acid trip with xanax and something else thrown in the mix, this morning, i came 1/4 of an inch of getting hit by an off duty ambulance. I would have loved for a cop so say, "what are you on." And i reply, "oh its the stuff politicians and law enforcement want to prescribe..gabapentin"
I live in Fort Myers, FL.> with severe herniated disc pain (62), I have to need my meds to perform work on cars, house and take care of my 92 year old father. I have no problem getting doctors to prescribe, just can not find mail order or local pharma, that has 90 30MG Oxycodone's in stock. PAM BONDI, has stopped the shipments of pain meds to the pharmacies. My father has suffered more than myself, someone should burn in hell, for what they are doing to the elderly. I thought I was in Vietnam recently visiting a nursing home with many elderly pulled off there meds, it was an insane asylum. They are trying to kill the over 70 population. Anyone know of mail order or local pharma in Fort Myers with Percoset or 30MG oxycodone, other pain killers, "do not give me energy", like oxycodone.
Long shot ...
Try a hospital pharmacy, perhaps ask your pm md for one that fills outside scripts. Good luck, God bless.
Hi I have Blue Cross Blue Shield through NYS. Empire. They sent notice cancelling all policies as of 12/31/2013. This may only be for NY, I am not sure. They advised me to start searching for a replacement 10/01 at the exchanges.
Hi
I appreciate your positive outlook and all that you have posted. Since I had been diagnosed with stage 3c cancer I am constantly told how important a good attitude is (while being given news and situations that lead to very bad attitudes). Trying to stick to the topic of the board, I am dealing with pain for a few years now. It was not until I came to Fl to be close to family and Moffit that I have run into unbelievable challenges regarding treatment. The initial problem is that no one openly states the truth. CVS, Walgreens, etc do not say we will not now nor ever fill your rx. They told me for over one week, come back tomorrow they are on order. I now know this is a lie as the patient getting a transfusion in the chemo room next to me showed me he had gotten an rx filled the same day I was told "come back tomorrow". By the time another customer waiting in line at Walgreens told me what was happening, I had one day left of meds. Were it not for my NY doctor And NY pharmacy who was concerned about my heart should I stop, I have no idea what I would have done. Whoever, whatever is doing this is really putting the lives of the sick at risk, I have no doubt that lives have been lost because of this policy.
While I agree that the DEA is at the heart of this problem, pharmacists are just beneath them in culpability. As C has mentioned and I've witnessed first-hand, many pharmacists are being duplicitous with the treatment of their customers. Pharmacists, more than anyone, know the adverse effects of abruptly discontinuing use of Sch. II drugs, especially in the elderly or I'll-health patient. Yet, they intentionally misinform the customer on the availability of these drugs.
There are no new laws WRT dispensing or quantity that can be dispensed, yet I have two local Walgreens that have set two different quantity levels. One Walgreens says you have to be within 5 miles of your Drs office to fill a Rx, while another says you have to be within 5 miles if your residence. Ironically, I use one that is well over 5 miles from either location.
While I have been fortunate thanks to plenty of documentation and insurance, my friend spends literally weeks after every appointment trying to fill his Rx because he doesn't have insurance. Instead of being honest about their intentions, just about every pharmacist lies about availability. From out of stock to quota met to new laws like 80/20, etc...they just won't tell the truth. This just leads to more anger as customers return a week later to hear, "our shipment didn't come in." It's BS and it's all got to stop.
What's even more disgusting is that if my friend wants to spend up to $1400 (cash only) on his 120 Os and 60 MSCs, he can visit any number of independent pharmacies with no questions asked. Ironic, since it usually only a drug dealer that can afford these prices as these pharmacies operate freely without any DEA concerns...or at least violating price-gouging laws. One pharmacist admitted as much saying he knows that most his customers sell their Rx which is why he doesn't have a problem with his prices.
These new policies have done nothing more than make some pharmacists and drug dealers wealthier (supply/demand), while legitimate PPs are made to suffer, with some turning to criminal acts to survive. H use is on the rise, as others go broke turning to the black-market. Sadly, people are still dying, you just won't hear their stories in the news as ODs are more sensational than suicide and depression-related deaths.
I am a former Pro formula 1 car deriver. i'm 51 have a clean record and no one wants to fill my prescriptions either. The independents are the worse they don;'t want insurance part d they want to sell to eople without insurance. I amgoing tonhave tomcommit suicide when i can;'t find any. The painis so great and in withdrawls i vomit blood and go into shock. My doctor ran the ATP program at South baptist in Miami for 25 uears won;t treat patient without you being hospitalized and being documented as a pain patient. he is also an addictionologist. I am in agonynhave the quality of life, however small it was taken away. i have no hope of mliving. i have to live and suffer for my kitties and my grandchildren or woiuld have killed myself sooner. pleas help me find a source. My doctor teaches pain and addiction medicine at lRKIN AND THEN PHARMACIES STILL BLOW ME OFF!
I goto trinity medical center and they have a pharmacy there and I get my pain Meds there and very reasonable. I don't wish to state my name but every two weeks I get oxycodone 10mg/325 count 70 tablets every two weeks for 50.00 dollars and I also get my flexiril 10 mg ct 90 tablets. I don't have insurance I pay cash. I hope they can help u too
How do we reply..email address plz? I have been living a nightmare trying to get my medications every month. Ive ended up in er twice from withdrawls. I have never been in trouble and have had the same dr. For 10 years.
Crashtest: Have you had any success? I empathize with your situation, having gone through the same.
It actually is so wrong that your proposal very well may be taken up by some. What is especially frustrating and dangerous is that my doctor stated I should be on xyz, however he feared it would trip some warning causing him to be investigated. I also mentioned in an earlier post how the pain doctors decide BEFORE seeing a patient what meds they would change qty of in an attempt to meet the regulations. This is not good medicine.
Also, has any one else been adversely effected by Obamacare. My policy is cancelled as of 12/31/2013. When I went on the exchange (I was able to get on ONLY the 1st day over 2 weeks ago at what point I registered but was signed off before completing) the Silver policy offers me less service for over 200.00 more per month with thousands more in deductibles. On top of that I see the maximum out of pocket expense has been given a waiver for a year by Obama. Why does it seem that it is making life harder for many of those who are sick. I have been diagnosed with stage 3c cancer, but I will be OK. Too stubborn to die. What about the elderly and others who are sick. This is wrong.
Help! My wife gets some medications and we are having nothing but problems month after month here in Florida getting them. Nothing but the run around and the Doctors and the Pharmacies say their hands are tied. She can't get a prescription till it's due and then no one has it in stock and say they must order and it will take a week. We are very angry, here we are knowing that the med's are out there and I listen to her cry because she's in pain. It's like we are dirty or something and that the moral leaders of our state wish we would just have her die from the pain and leave them alone. I have even complained to some of the drug companies thinking at least they would be upset that we can not get their products, and it seems they could care less also. Is there any Politician out there that gives a damn about us?
We to start somehow. I know of doctors that have actually cured cancer patients with massive opiate doses, also multiple personalties and a list of other ailments with opiates! He retired one month before I found him but he referred me to a good doctor. Opiate is not a four letter word! It is a very beneficial ingredient that God put here for our use? How dare the government prohibit or limit its uses! Im all for an opiate dispensory similar to the mmj dispensaries. If someone over does it why should everyone be punished? Let us get what we need. Im headed to Moran and Morgan website now, thank you.
Why are the meds so expensive? I know that alot of the prescription cards wont cover opiates, right? Well, use the card for a non opiate med and ask them to keep in on your file. I get 120 30mg oxy and they're under $70 cash. I use a walgreens and they have even ordered the new impax oxymorphone for me. They hadn't heard of it and it wasn't in their system but he went ahead and ordered it for me. Ive said it once and I'll say it again. Be pleasant. Go there for other items and stop by to just say hello to the pharmacist. Always be pleasant, yes, even when you run out early and you're in withdrawal and they still wont fill it till the 30th day. Leave the script there and find someone to help you get thru it. They do make mistakes too. I was told "not till Tues" and that was 5 days too late so i kept calling until someone finally said, "oh, you can get them tomorrow" . Sometimes its like a cellphone carrier. Just keep calling back until you get someone different who gives you the answer you need.
