If you are going to try Walmart make sure you go on a friday night or Satuday morning. They get thier shipment in on Fridays and they run out very fast. It may vary on each seperate Walmart but try and find someone who is nice enough to tell you when they receive thier shipment.
And good luck.
My doctor has finally set me up with a pharmacy who was taking new patients. I was lucky enough to be the second one to sign up with them. After 6 months of torture I finally got lucky. So hang in there.
Happy holidays to all and hopefully pain free!

Man I pay 250 for my useless doctors appointment in miami on Christmas Eve and I go to the same cvs and have been for a year straight. Well the was pharmacist is I'm vacation just as he was for thanksgiving well since he's been on vacation I have been suffering with 12 hern. discs from playing college ball and a car accident just funny how they have them ever time but now my pharmacist is on vacation so I must withdraw this Christmas cool oh and corporate stands behind the decision to not fill regardless of my consistent use of there pharmacy makes me furious especially because the pharmacist in duty would not look at me rather look down the hole time while saying they don't carry soma or oxy...
Is there anything at all being done about this unfortunate problem that has been getting worse? I had a Dr that was prescribing Norco 10/325 1-2 tabs every 4-6 hours for herniated discs in my neck and lower back for close to a couple years. During the course of that couple years I had surgery replacing a disc and fusing 2 in my neck then 3 months later a surgery fixing a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder by placing an anchor in there. The surgeons then took over my pain management for 3 months for each surgery. After the 3 months I returned to my PCP for further pain management. After a few months of this my Dr fired me along with a large group of other patients that were on narcotic pain killers. (I know this because a nurse that no longer works at that office told me about the mass firings.) It has been a year since my surgeries and I have been in double the pain in my neck than I was before (it feels like something is constantly poking me at the base of my head) and still having pain in my lower back and now have pain running down both legs, knees and feet to the point that it is impossible for me to function. I CANNOT find a Dr ANYWHERE that cares enough to prescribe ANYTHING for pain relief and basicly treat me like a druggie! I was even referred to a pain clinic where the Dr will ONLY do epidural injections in my lower back. The last time I had one I developed a dural puncture and suffered debilitating headaches 24/7 for 3 1/2 weeks straight! So obviously I refuse to get another epidural. That Dr WILL NOT prescribe anything for pain because he says he has too many other patients he has to monitor. My new PCP says it's a copout way of saying he doesn't trust me. I'm almost to the point of eating a bullet because I am so miserable and tired of how much of a horrible person I've turned into and how horrible I treat my daughter, family, friends and coworkers. I'm almost at my breaking point and don't know what to do! I've even told my Dr that in the past pain killers such as oxy (which in my opinion are worse than Norco) don't even help and that I found that Norco is the only thing that does help! What can I do??? Where can I turn??? Please help me!!
I WANNA SEE THAT VID! LoL! Where can I find it? I had a Dr that was prescribing Norco 10/325 1-2 tabs every 4-6 hours for herniated discs in my neck and lower back for close to a couple years. What can I do??? Where can I turn??? This whole pain killer epidemic makes me so furious!!! Here I am watching a show on Nat Geo about DEA agents hunting cocaine runners from Columbia thinking to myself "Now THAT'S what they need to be worried about!! Not people that suffer chronic pain and need to get their prescriptions filled!!!" These pharms and Dr's and politicians need to get their priorities in order!!!
Dr McMullen fort Myers cost 200 but Medicare will reimburse if you have it.
Hope that helps you.
Mike I live in Lincoln, IL. Very small community and not too many options when it comes to Dr's, esspecially since I'm limited to my options since I was fired from the one Dr, I can't go to any other Dr's in that system, which is a very large hospital group in the central Illinois area in several towns all around. My new Dr is in another small town in a very small medical group 30 miles away. He's the biggest jerk I've ever met! The first time I saw him, he almost threw me out of his office simply because he thought I was lying to him. I'll tell you more about this story after I tell you a brief history.... I've had a history of chronic pain in my back and neck since I was in jr high. So my mom started taking me to a chiropractor when I was probably 12 years old. I believe my problems began when I was about 11 years old and flipped my bicycle and landed on my head on pavement. Some other accidents I've had include being hit by a car while riding my bike (it was a low speed impact where the driver was turning the corner as I was crossing the street and I went up on the hood.), carrying a sheet of drywall, walking backwards and stepping into a hole in the floor and landing on the edge of the hole on the small of my back, head on car accident when I was 18 going 30 mph, another car accident where I was going 85 mph off a curve with no seatbelt and the airbag popped my head back (the ER Dr said I was lucky it didn't break my neck and I didn't go thru the windshield. I had a very strong grip on the steering wheel.), an elevator that dropped 3 floors when I was 20 (It didn't slam to the bottom of the shaft like you see in movies. However it was jarring.), another car accident when another driver ran a red light and I slammed into the side of their car going 30 mph, standing up after kneeling down under a steel truck frame and hitting the top of my head on the frame and crunching my neck (I was a welder at Caterpillar. Probably another thing that wasn't good on my neck was the heavy welding hood that had a hose running into the back of the hood, pumping breathable air into the hood.), MRI's showing spinal degeneration in my lower back and neck and diagnosis' of arthritis in my knees and bursitis in my shoulder. Starting in 2010 I had a Dr that was prescribing Norco 10/325 1-2 tabs every 4-6 hours for a couple years. He tried stronger pain medications such as oxycontin that didn't even help. After all the different medications he tried, I determined that the only thing that helped was the Norco. I've also had other treatments such as epidural injections in my lower back and neck (I had a scary experience with the neck epidural when the needle wouldn't go in and the Dr tried jamming it in there causing a strange sensation to course down my body, making me go cold and sick to my stomach and I yelled at him to stop. So he told me to stretch my arms downward to help spread the discs apart. I didn't go back for another treatment after that!) During the course of that couple years I had surgery replacing a disc and fusing 2 in my neck then 3 months later a surgery fixing a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder by placing an anchor in there. The surgeons then took over my pain management for 3 months for each surgery. After the 3 months I returned to my PCP for further pain management. After a few months of this my Dr fired me along with a large group of other patients that were on narcotic pain killers. (I know this because a nurse that no longer works at that office told me about the mass firings.) The PCP I was seeing took over a large group of patients from another Dr that the medical group had fired because he refused to keep record of treatments on the computer. He was an older Dr that was old fasioned and set in his ways. It was a big deal that was in the newspaper. Aparently a majority of those patients he was treating were on pain management and the medical group didn't approve of that. It has been a year since my surgeries and I have been in double the pain in my neck than I was before (it feels like something sharp is constantly poking me at the base of my head and my neck constantly aches period.) and still having pain in my lower back and NOW I have pain running down both legs, knees and feet to the point that it is impossible for me to function at home or at work. I've missed a lot of work because of the pain and actually had a Dr that I WAS seeing refuse to fill out disability papers for me when I missed work for a month straight because he didn't tell me to take off work and he was afraid of losing his license. I decided to find a new Dr after that. The new Dr I found is an even bigger jerk than the one that refused to fill out my disability papers however. He grilled me at my first appointment and ALMOST threw me out of his office because he thought I was lying to him about my medical history. He proceeded to tell me about past patients that lied to him in order to get pain pills and were seeing multiple Dr's that were also prescribing them pain pills. I convinced him that I was not lying to him and tried being as open and honest as I could be without breaking down and crying. I CANNOT find a Dr ANYWHERE that cares enough to prescribe ANYTHING for pain relief and basicly treat me like a druggie! I was even referred to a pain clinic where the Dr there will ONLY do epidural injections in my lower back. The last he gave me one I developed a dural puncture and suffered debilitating headaches 24/7 for 3 1/2 weeks straight! So obviously I refuse to get another epidural. That Dr WILL NOT prescribe anything for pain because he says he has too many other patients he has to monitor. My new jerk PCP told me it was his "copout way of saying he doesn't trust me". I'm almost to the point of eating a bullet because I am so miserable and tired of how horrible of a person I've turned into and how horrible I treat my 8 year old daughter (I'm a single fulltime dad that has custody of her), family, friends and coworkers. I'm almost at my breaking point and don't know what to do! I've even told my Dr that in the past pain killers such as oxy (which in my opinion are worse than Norco) don't even help and that I found that Norco is the only thing that does help! Over the counter pain killers won't even touch the pain as I'm sure you are aware of that. I'm at my breaking point. But honestly, I could never bring myself to hurt myself. I'm a christian and believe in hell and don't want to go there. To be honest with you, anytime I hear of anybody that has Norco for sale, I buy as many as I can get. I don't like doing it, but what else can I do? I don't know if you know anybody close to my area or not, but I hope there is some kind of wonderful advise you can give me.
Look me up on {edited for privacy} I can help
That is the part I do not understand, I went through this a few years ago, my PCP passed away, I was seeing her for over 10 years, had all my records and tests were up to date, she had me on a compounded 20/80. Since the DEA and feds are watching doctors who perscribe oxyxotin, morphine and diladid my Dr. feels better writing the hydros but knows that 40 mg a day is not helping so if I have them compounded to 20/80, 20 mg of hydrocodone and 80 mg of acetaminophen I can take up to 12 a day. I can take more pain meds and not be under the watchful eye of the feds by taking oxycotin or morphine and saving my liver by not bombarding it with Tylenol. Well when she died I took all my records and a few old bottles of medications and covered 3 counties trying to find a new doctor, yeah right, no one would touch me, they were too afraid. I then asked if they could write me a 30 day supply to hold me until I could find a new doctor because if you read the paper work that comes with any pain medication it states in bold letters "DO NOT STOP TAKING THIS MEDICATION ABRUPTLY." it is not healthy to just stop. Most of the doctors would not even look at my records, said they could not recommend another doctor and most told me to go to a methadone clinic because they were not going to start a new patient off with this much medication. I was willing to work with them, start me off at 3 or 4 a day, whatever, just so I don't have to stop abruptly. The feds have these Dr. running scared, not sure if they thought I was setting them up but they are not like the helpful doctors I remember seeing in the past or the caring understanding doctors you see on TV..LOL. I finally found one that was brave enough to stand up for the oath he took and ran me through some new tests, drug screening, blood work, etc. He was one of only a few that even bothered to look at my records, he remembered my old doctor from years ago, I think that may have helped me. But shame on these other doctors, I had everything I needed, I was willing to do any test they said I needed, I had all my records and was very honest, I guess that scared them, they are probably used to people giving them a line of bull, I don't know what the deal was, probably the feds and DEA, doctor shopping laws, pill mills and all this other crap. The honest people who need meds, he was very understanding and said that there is a difference between addiction and dependence. I really don't know what I would have done had I not found him, I would have probably risked breaking the law and buying them off the street. When a person who has all their records cannot go to a doctor and get legitimate help and legal doctors will not help a patient that is taking medication that they know is very dangerous to stop abruptly is forced to risk their freedom and face 20 years in prison there is something wrong with the system. I guess since I was not their patient if I died they could not be sued, screw the oath of being a doctor that helps people, not sure how they can sleep at night...

walgreens could care less about our 3000$ a month meds. they would rather just lose all the pain patients and they wouldnt be worrying about lawsuyits, and all the problems that go with c2 meds. and when dealing with an individual pharmacist hiding behind a huge corp like walgreens she dont care if you get your meds. shes still getting her paycheck. thats why mom pops shop have them and will sell them cause they work for their money and every dollar counts. try getting oxycodone 10/325 for breakthru pain. i had the same problem and if you have mail order set it up through mail order. you may wait the first time longer but then on time monthly. thats what i do. and the 10/325 are the same thing for pain as the roxy 15's just take 2.good luck. till this fcked up system gets right and fixed this is gonna suck for next few yrs till resolved in florida and they ease up.
I have my first appt with a PM in antioch, i dont want to name them over internet but is there a way to tell beforehand if im wasting time and should go somewhere else? I was kicked out of last PM for going to H'ville ER knowing something was wrong and after doc follow up i was admitted for almost 2weeks due to DVT
I honestly believe that soon you will not be able to get oxycodone at all... that is the purpose behind all this. It would take too many words to explain what I just went thru with a district supervisor with walgreens... but simply put, the pharmacist is afraid of losing their license and they will not fill oxy scripts... the management has no say in the matter.... it is up to the individual pharmacists.
I even had one tell me that they would not fill any script from a cash only doctor... therefore punishing the patient because the doc only takes cash... I have be unable to find a pain clinic that takes my insurance. It is not my fault.. should I be punished?
I gave in and had my script changed to Morphine ER and IR... I have no problem getting them... not the same relief I got with oxy but at least it is some and not a hassle to get.
good luck to all of you....
You have to be more specific. I have no idea what the abbreviations mean? All of them. Please elaborate. noone here is or can do anything about hearsay on the net..im sure you use fake names like the rest of us. and i didnt understand where your even located. good luck
BEAX- I WENT THROUGH it like you...but 1, oxies arent going anywhere. yes no cash doctors. my doctor is in a county next to mine and my pharmacy is in the the next county that ive used for 2 years now. he fills-orders everymonth my oxycontin, oxycodone and klonopin for me every month no problem. and he takes insurance.. my friend just got his 90 day supply of 30mg roxies via mail order. there trying to make it so u get roxies through mail only except for a few pharmacies like mine that know the client. im truly lucky.
also my pharmacy told me in april1, oxycontin will be available generic and there not the pellets purdue is putting out since they changed formula. the generics are in canada now and the same formula as the old oc's. So purdue is about to lose a whole lotta business because the new op oxies suck and arent anything like the old ones. cant wait till april 1
Maybe if pharmicist quit playing God and were not so rude we could sympathize. As far as I'm concerned u r all a joke and when u have the drugs available and pick and choose who to dispense it to is total discrimination...I hope u all lose your jobs and suffer w/chronic pain forever and then maybe u can learn the art of sympathy!!! If it is a legit Dr. there is no excuse and we should not have to see our loved ones suffer in pain. Grow a pair and stick up for the people who count on u...so go whine to people who give a sh@#!
This goes out to "pissed off"I am w/u on this, I think we should all look into a class action lawsuit for pain and suffering, limiting our lives and not being ble to work and do daily chores that people take for granted. They perscribe the meds and charge us an arm and a leg and they r worthless when we cannot get them filled and I am sick of them all thinking we r addicts. My husband has had the same reputable Dr. for 6/7 yrs. and has never failed a urine test or ever called in for an early refill but u better believe we pay an arm and leg for his assistance. This is total bs and we need to stand up and fight for our rights. u can contact me {edited for privacy}..message me and lets see if we can maybe help each other out. I am sick of living in the poor house because my husband has chronic pain and is unable to work when the pain is so excruciating. Plus the stress it has put on this poor man..we r being robbed by the drs. and the pharmacies r playing God..I have heard every rediculous excuse in the book. Shame on all of them! Thanks for letting me vent.
