Cannot fill them anywhere in Bradenton or Sarasota. Please help I have a real doctor and the pharmacy I have been going to the past year in my city says they will no longer fill out of county. Does anyone know of a pharmacy in Bradenton or Sarasota that can help a patient fill qty 180 oxycodone 30mg? Please help. On the verge of getting deathly ill w/out meds! Thank you.

Where in TN? I live in nashville and after an ER visit which led to 2 surgeries i was discharged from my pain management, now i cant find any worth the time, money or effort-i was on roxicodone 30mg and then dilaudid 8mg-i had a doctor telling me that there is nothing strong enough for him to prescribe since i was on them forabout 4years---does that mean they no longer are being prescribed as wel? Or that all doc are afraid of dea?

Yeah, the DEA thinks it will stop addiction by stopping the supply, or maybe they want to drive addicts to something that is more profitable to the government, methadone clinics....What they don't understand is that they are driving up a huge black market on pain pills or maybe they do and are in on it. They will either force patients who actually need the pain meds to start taking stronger meds because they are wiping out the mid range pain meds like hydros and oxycodone. Florida has so many retired people and senior citizens that take meds every day you would think they would be one of the most lax on perscription drugs. I live in Tennessee and have a pain Dr. I see every month, I get my meds but am worried we might be next, My Dr. will put me on something stronger if he has to or if they keep attacking the mid range pain pills.

If you or a friend depend on short acting oxycodone. Be warned the the dea has requested all short acting manufactures to discontinue production.
Therefore find other alternatives for relief soon my not be a available. Anywhere.
Pay close attention.

Hey LepInTBay77.... A friend of mine moved from Miami to the Brandon/Tampa area....He had trouble too but found a place called Bill's pharmacy on HWY 60

Well, after reading all of the discussions on this thread, I'm terrified to even ask if anyone knows of a pharmacy in Beandon/Tampa area that will fill 30mg Oxycodone. I've lucked out the last few years after finding a local pharmacy to fill my script for 120 count. Same story as many of you, Walgreens and CVS began saying they were out, and I too wound up driving from store to store before it soon became pointless. Then the assistant at my PM doc found this local pharm that I've been going to for the last 2 years. Then a few months ago they said they needed additional non narcotic scripts to "even out" thief new 50/50 requirement, which I was able to do. Now, just last month, they said that their distributor closed, and that they will no longer be able to fill my scripts. So after freaking out upon hearing this news, I'm desperate to find another pharmacy to fill my script. I have great insurance and will go wherever if need be if anyone can help me find a new pharmacy. I've tried everything else, Opana, Dilaudid, etc, but 30mg Oxycodone is the ONLY thing that gives me any relief. Have 2 shattered discs, another 2 herniated, and l5-S1 is bulging, stenosis and lovely nerve damage in both legs. Can anyone help me find a new pharmacy in Brandon/Tampa area? I'm in desperation mode :( Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

I TAKE 9 80MG A DAY 3 TO 6 40MG A DAY AND FILL IN FOR BREAKTHRU PAIN WITH 4 30MG IR
PLUS 300MG OF ZOLOFT-LORZEPAN-AND SOMETIMES I USE METHADONE AS A KICKER WITH ALL OF THIS THE PAIN IS JUST AT A LEVEL SO THAT I CAN FUNCTION. CALL ME WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD SAY I'M LYING ALL YOU WANT BUT THE FACT REMAINS I'M THE ONE WHO TRULY KNOWS WHAT I TAKE. SO AGAIN DOES IT REALLY MATTER WHAT THE HECK THE PRICE IS JUST SO SOMEONE CAN START A BIG ARGUMENT? AND FOR WHAT? SO THEY CAN POUND THEIR CHEST TO INDICATE THAT THEY ARE HEAP BIG INDIAN CHIEF AND KNOWS ALL THERE IS TO KNOW. DOES IT REALLY MATTER? BUT YOU CAN STILL BELITTLE ME ALL YOU WANT IF THAT GIVES YOU A BETTER FEELING ABOUT YOURSELF. YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY TODAY AND A BETTER DAY TOMORROW.

Contacts to gov Rick Scott for multi request letters to be reconsidered for fl law and reason. Reason with law. Work together on evidence statics and facts of the safe way. Show them to the science. If Everyone will work together on THIS. Work on this now. Maybe in 2-3 years a signature for your Request will be rendered. I just dislike seeing the % of legit people suffer. Parents can't play with their kids cause in pain or can't work. Life is fragile and accidents happen. You live once. Try opening up a urinalysis based dr/ pharmacy third party company to show pharmacies can keep more stock and prove its all for you and you only. Like 2 urine screens a month with correct levels of script in your body. Believe... And. It. Will. Come. True. Remember that your prescription is for you and you only is the only way. Work with law.

Bridget becare with dilaudid! 35 years ago i used it recreationally so i already knew about other routes of ingestion. It really only helps with pain taken one way. No, it will not get you high so dont even try. BUT! A side effect is muscles spasms (thats what ur doctor wants!) then you will gladly take their injections! Dilaudid does make you lethargic and apathetic if you have poor tolerance to morphine. If you are okay with hydro and roxicodone stay away from dilaudid. They will not work again after taking it. Very poor cross tolerance. I too was in school and active in my community on roxicodone but since dilaudid ive barely left the apt. Due to my dog injecting it they lasted beyond my discharge (read above post) that was a month ago and my body and head are still DEAD! When my phone rings i just look at it and dont even have the gumption to answer it. I miss school and due to hospitalization missed this semester as well as last and now financial aid is a mess. Praise God fasfa is on deferrment but the school isnt. They want their money now and beong on a fixed income ill have to go elsewhere, use the pell from that school to pay back the other school then resign up there and have classes from other school transferred to regular school WHEW! All due to a little pill that i kept complaining about. All they had to do was prescribe my the regular roxi which i was taking but they refused. Just be careful with dilaudid switch if you can, im having ahard time finding Tenncare doctor in nashville area---good luck

I looked up dr Aballey and he is a General Practitioner, is he still allowed to write for oxy? Did he take the 8hour class and test and get certified for Pain? If not he will get shut down and we'll be looking for new doc all over again. Personally i dont care if he can only treat hamsters LOL i dont want to habe to search e ery couple of months. Tenncare will redflag me, if they havent already, due to doctors malpractice and negligence.

I have to agree with some of the recent posters that the blame is being put on the wrong people here. Forget about sueing Walgreens, any pharm that can't fill your Rx's, it's not them making the laws. The state I live in does not have the problems you all have yet but it is rolling across the country thanks to our elected officials. My PM saw this coming a few years ago and said we were in trouble now that the govt. is telling Dr.s how to treat instead of letting them do the job they were trained for.
Start writing your elected officials and start paying attention to whom is running for office and what their stand is on govt. running health care instead of Dr.s. our govt. has done such a great job that I am sure you trust them to care for you when you are sick, lol.
The Dr.s, pharmacy's are following the laws made by those elected in the last few years. They won't lose any lawsuits as they are following the regs set up by the DEA. Put your efforts where you might do some good
Obama Care could care less about our pain they only want to keep the amount of opioids in as short supply as possible by regulating how many drugs each company can sell every month.
I am afraid that it will only get worse before it gets better. Make yourself heard, don't waste your time and energy hating pharmacy's, make yourself heard by the ones making up these stupid regs. Stop letting the govt. tell your Dr. How to treat your pain.

RPhJoe, thank you but i still need pain killers! I was on morphine sulphate 2X a day and roxicodone 30mg 4X a day , i was in school and had a normal life! Argued with a new physicians assistant who didn't even work for my doctor and i got booted out. My next pain management put me on dilaudid 8mg 3X a day along with the morphine. I kept complaining about the lethargy, wound up with a DVT that they couldn't break up, now on bloodthinners and they booted me out for going to ER in pain pver the blood clot (that no one knew about yet). I am punished for their negligence. Now my new pain management put me on 7.5 mg percs 3X a day. WTF? If he doesnt up it at my second visit I will hand him the discharge letter I am typing up. No other pain doc takes my ins. Now i have to pay $400 cash for a doc who MAY OR MAY NOTwrite me an adequate script.

He's anti FDA/DEA, wants to legalize drugs, etc. He won't say it now, but his father was for decriminalization. We need to shake up the establishment. Start conversations with your friends. Get engaged in this discussion. True liberty is your best hope.

Legit, no im not going to do anything stupid, I know who I am inChrist and i have alot to do. I get frustrated when all I can do is sit or lay around. I also know that we are healed through the blood of Jesus! Its just like a cloudy day; behind the clouds s a blue sunny sky, our view is blocked. My healing is there I just can't see it right now and by golly I know God put poppies here for our benefit. It seems to me that everything the FDA or DEA wont allow are the things that are natural that will help us to be LESS DEPENDENT on the govt. I have to remember, it is written, " we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places" such as the govt. only prayer will change things not us arguing against eachother.

I just want to say,please don't take any actions that can't be undone.I was in a coma for 8 days and was supposed to be a vegetable if I even came out of it,because as my note read"I can't wake up in pain any longer,I can't live like this".I am REALLY lucky that my family didn't pull the plug on life support like the Dr's recommended.I am happy I am here pain and all.I have had problems getting my meds like everyone else here also.I have thought about writing a letter to these pharmacist when I'm given a hard time just to let them know I actually was a normal person once. Depression is normal with chronic pain.I'm on anti-depressants as part of my PM regiem. Please talk to someone about getting some help with it: with meds and therapy, depression is part of chronic pain. I'm sure all of us can attest to that. It hits me hard when I see someone where you are,there is light at the end of the tunnel.

spyz....i feel exactly the same....exactly. no need for me to repeat. obnly difference is i do use illicit street drugs to numb my pain. sad my dr too shut down last summer now i have to buy off street dealers who i know for years and never needed them till recently with all the bs. i smoke pot just to sleep at night. when properly medicated like the past 12 yrs, i didnt have to resort to this but have given up, run out of money and can only wait and hope things ease up soon.

Joe current most current pain patients may be white but racism is what oriinally made drugs illegal--i say bravo to the teacher who sedated her students ! Maybe they were TOO unruly! Did we forget that opium was once sold and prescribed for everything like menstrual cramps to yes, even Soothing Infant tincture to calm fussy babies! The govt is not my mother and needs to back off and get out of the boardroom, the bedroom and our medicine cabinets!

RPhJoe--PROVE TO PHARMACISTS! We spend years over and over proving to our doctors that we have legitimate pain! We dont owe you guys anything. Even my primary care doctor who referred me to pain management was shut down due to an infraction by God knows who! I see good doctors shut down due to drug seeking people NOT GETTING PRSCRIPTIONS and having a hissy fit and to make them pay they lie about te doctor. Because of that most of my medical records now sit at the county drug task force and i cant find a pain doctor who takes my insurance and has the balls to contact them to get my record! I seriously considered putting my ear to the street and get a few contacts for illicite drugs but dont want to participate in lawlessness. As if my decline would help. LOL so now I have the option of paying $400-$500 just for office visit to maybe a shady doctor or moving to Colorado to see if marijuana helps. I HATE weed but will it help? Maybe i should go back on cocaine (it is an anesthetic, no wonder i was painfree all those years) law enforcement is so busy with pain doctors and patients that come to think of it, now is a great to to hit the streets and even start the heroin flurry of the 60's and 70's again. Death remains a viable opition as well. I mean really, if my pain is not adequately managed, why should i take my other medications? Seems pointless to merely exist laying on the couch taking up oxygen and Federal benefits. Oh but the same libs would see that as relieving the earth from my excess carbon.
