Feeling The Same After Starting Cymbalta

I've been taking 60mg of Cymbalta for about a month and still feel the same. Is there anyone who could tell me more about this anti-depressant?

Hi, Several people tell me the older Anti-depressants work best for them. Tofranil (or something like that) and others. Depending on your condition and what you can take for it you may want to try one thats been around for decades.... Good Luck...

I have been taking cymbalta for about 3 months now. Before cymbalta I took lexapro. Neither one really cured every sypmptom of my depression. Sometimes counsilling is needed to. Talk to your doc and see if maybe there is another alternative. Im going to my schyc doc 6-21-05 and see if there is anything else I can get on. Keep in touch well get through this

Cymbalta seemed to work good for a few months although I have probably taken 5 diff antidepressants...and they all work good for the first few months then back to the same ol feelings..

Cymbalta, is working Great 4 me so far,I've been on it 4 a wk now.It pulled me out of a terrible Deep Dark Hole of Depression.I had become delutional,thoughts of suicide & hallucinating on Prozac.I just pray it keeps on keepin' on.Prozac has worked 4 me for about a year.I was on 60mg of Prozac,now it's 30mg of Cymbalta.

i have noticed that after some time nothing seems to work lexapro,prozac, zoloft they all seem to get in your system then just merge with everything and not help anymore

been on cymbalta 60mg for three years for diabetic pain, and for depression. Have had little neg. side effects, and has helped me alot.

Me too, diabetic neuropathy-Cymbalta works + had the side effect of making me very, though not artificially happy...Jennifer46

I have been on Cymbalta for over 2 yrs. It seemed to do well at first then I just had such lack of energy and motivation; some days would stay in bed until mid-afternoon! I experimented with doses but it did not make any difference, I actually felt worse on the higher doses. Am now being weaned off and started on Viibyrd (my second wk @ 20mg). I already have some increased motivation and energy but do have nausea and headaches.I feel the Cymbalta just stopped working for me and I needed something to help with anxiety also. Viibyrd is supposed to do both. Hope you find your answer.

Hi Carolann,

I see it has been a while since you posted, but curious to know how the Vii worked for you? I've been following the Viibryd & Sleep Paralysis posts for a year now. I had a horrible time on the Vii due to its short half life. And 2 wks ago I went from Prozac to Cymbalta & am feeling much better. Feels similar to Vii. Worried about Vii side effects though. Since CYM. & Vii are kind of similar?
