False Positive On Drug Test For Cocaine (Page 3) (Top voted first)

I took a hair follicle test and it came up positive for cocaine. I have never used drugs in my life. I have a kidney infection and I have been having trouble with my kidney all my life on and off. I was taking Ampicillin 500mg and Metronidazole 500 mg and Eugenol. I am going to court concerning my kids and I can't lose them for drugs when I never took them before. Please help me. Thank you.

Have any of you taking amoxicillin? Also do you air your kids have kidney problems? DSS took my five year old and said he tested postive but I was clean my case is closed now but it still haunts us to this day!

I'm on color code n I don't do drugs, none what so ever. I have to do a drug test twice a month and I was tested positive for cocaine and the judge sent me to jail BC I was telling him that I never did cocaine n he assumed I was lying. But in my heart n God knows I am innocent. Please help.

My daughter and I tested positive for cocaine use. Nobody in my household is using cocaine or has given my daughter cocaine. They just came and took my child.

I need some help! I take a saliva test every month at my Drs. I have always passed. I took the last test on the 20th. I had to do a hair folic test on the 24th. They are saying I tested positive for cocain. I take subutex and adderal and I have my printout for the MRO. I have been told to ask for the form to see what my levels are. I am 100% sure I have not used any cocain. I'm in shock. I have also took another hair folic test and am waiting on the results. How can this happen?

Hi, I have had a hair strand drug test and come up positive for cocaine! I don't touch it. I'm on a list of meds and I have a social worker that's wants my kids as I have mental health that is controlled with meds. My kids are scared to death as am. It doesn't matter what I do, these social workers are out to get my kids. They are on an interum supervision order as they said I suffer from depression and they are just pushing and pushing since court. It's got very personal here. Their concerned. Please help. I couldn't live without my children. I even got a job recently and she wants to tell them. I'm so scared. My list of meds are and what I have taken over the last 6 months are: metronidazole, tramadol, citalopram, co-amoxiclav, orajel, codeine, ibuprofen, morphine, oramorph, cyclizine, spinal block known as epidural, phenergan, sertraline, sliming tablets and I've had a kidney infection and urine infections and was give ampicillin. Please help as the social worker I know is just gonna turn up today,

Cps says I tested high levels of cocaine. Not true. Could not be. But I tested positive 3 times for a hair follicle test. I suggested that it may be meds from the flu or antibiotics. They said no and had also said I tested positive for methamphetamine. wtf, also not true. Now they say it was phentermine diet pills. Wow.

I was taking Phentermine for weight loss and lost my job when they did a drug test with my hair. Said I had cocaine in me. I've never done any drugs. But they didn't believe me.

During the months of October and November of 2016 I was on the antibiotic amoxicillin. During that time I had several urinalysis taken. All of the results for these tests showed up with traces of cocaine in my system at which point I had not used the substance. During this time I was on federal probation and as a result was punished due to the results of this inadequate drug paneling test. Something has to be done to prevent other people who are trying to seek medical care from getting in trouble for things they are not doing. Additionally this incident resulted in the implementation of a gcms testing which also showed the drug cocaine so therefore that test is not as accurate as it is claimed to be.

I'm a MS patient and take gabapentin, tramadol, oxycodone, tizanidine, and have been sick and was taking zpak 250mg + virtussin 5ml. I tested positive for cocaine. Is that possible?

I have been in pain management for 6 months and was tested when i first went and then wasn't tested again for 6 months, and in the meantime i was prescribed phentermine which i told them before i gave my urine. A little over one month later i get a letter saying i was positive for cocaine and i never take anything other than what i am prescribed. I am a diabetic and have kidney problems. I was released from pain management and i need these services bad. What can i do?

I have never used cocaine ever in my life.... I have a dcs case and I was smoking spice.... I have been clean for 1 year from everything but jan. 3rd I was drug tested with a mouth swab and when the results came back it said I failed for cocaine..... I was also tested the 4th of January with an instant swab and it came back clean at first then when it was sent to the lab it was confirmed positive. They had also did a regular mouth swab the 4th that came back positive as well.... As a result my kids were removed from the household..... I was drug tested January 6th from my job with a urine test that was negative and another the following Monday that was also negative..... How is this possible when I have never used cocaine?

This can happen ..it happened to me and i finally had my pharmacist send a letter to my pain doctor saying that phentermine is a stimulant and will cause a false positive for cocaine ..google this .."will phentermine cause a false positive for cocaine" and you will see that it can ..hope this helps.

I take trileptal 2 times a day for PTSD. I don't take any other meds or take any illegal drugs. Could trileptal show up as a false positive and if so for what (e.g. cocaine)?

I am 100 percent positive that amoxicillin comes up positive for cocaine. No doubt and it's been eating me up, I mean consuming my life! Got results 2 months ago and had been soo sick for 3 weeks. Dr was getting surgery and I had to go and see another dr. Well I was too sick. Just wanted an antibiotic and something for congestion, so my daughter brought me hers, which she never finished. Anyways I took it for almost 3 weeks; still sick I called my dr and he ordered me zpack and 2 days later I go to the dr like every month and knew I was getting tested becaz I've been on suboxone for yrs and my life has never been this good, until the next visit.

Now I cried, swore on all my loved ones lives and they didn't believe me. My daughter was very upset caz she'd left yrs before I got clean caz of addiction. Well after making me feel like a piece of s*** she calls me the next day crying n blaming herself, caz she googled it n found lots of peeps were going thru wat I did. So I've read about ppl like us getting attorneys n going after these labs n if it ever happens again demand, I only ask for a blood test n tell them or show the bottle then when you've been 100 percent honest go for it, because this is not only unfair, embarrassing, and costs more money, lost jobs, loss of children, it goes through your insurance and they wont cover you after so many!? My 1st time in 8 yrs. Hope I could help someone.

I am on 160 mg of methadone. I also take 1mg 3 times a day of xanax and 100 mg of zoloft a day. I recently had a false positive for cocaine. What happened?
