False Fda Reports On Kratom

Updated

So I've been reading reports by the FDA saying how "dangerous" Kratom is and how there have been deaths related to Kratom and how addictive it is. As someone who has been taking Kratom for almost 3 years I can honestly say it has saved my life. None of the reports by the FDA are true. So many people are now discovering Kratom and realizing there is finally something they can take without needing a doctor's prescription and it actually helps them. So the government is now using scare tactics to get us to stop using it. They are being pressured from the multi billion dollar pharmaceutical companies because the more Kratom being used the less money they're making and we all know how money hungry they are. I was in a very serious motorcycle accident and I had severe injuries to my back. My doctors had me on oxycodone & oxycontin. I was like a zombie and trying to get off that was worse than the motorcycle accident. Now the FDA is saying Kratom is causing salmonella. Almost 3 years I've been taking it. Two tablespoons a day. Addictive? No! Can any deaths be directly related to Kratom alone? No! Can they prove anyone diagnosed with salmonella got it from Kratom? No! We've got to fight to keep it legal. Isn't it ridiculous they are legalizing marijuana & trying to make Kratom illegal? Let's work together and keep informed.

Dear Lori,

As a fellow advocate for Kratom and natural alternatives in general, it is wonderful to read a like-minded/thoughtful review depicting the truths surrounding Kratom's safety and use cases. The American Kratom Association is also fighting along with us [the people] to help bring sanity into the uninformed legal & political realms. The attack on Kratom is an information war filled with heavy propaganda.

I for one have taken it for over 2 years for a variety of reasons (ranging from pain, anxiety, insomnia, allergies, hypertension, bacterial & viral infections, energy for working out or working long hours, you name it!) - In all my years on this planet, I haven't stumbled upon a single substance or treatment option that has such a broad, yet very effective spectrum of uses (not even cannabis). After having such success with Kratom, it's easy to see why big pharma and friends feel so threatened by Kratom's very existence. 1 teaspoon in the morning and/or evening has been life-changing for me as well as others I've recommended it to. Kratom has a very bright light to shine but needs our continuous combined efforts as a community.

Thank you for your post!

Thank you for your response. I follow and support the American Kratom Association. They are fighting for us and keep us informed of all the latest findings. We can't just sit back and expect everyone else to get involved in the fight to keep Kratom legal. I fear that big government and all the pharmaceutical lobbyist will succeed in accomplishing their agenda while we sit complacent. We know they want to make Kratom illegal. It already is in some states. Those like us, who've found so much relief with Kratom need to join the fight to keep it legal. It means writing and/or calling our state senators/congressmen and giving Kratom a voice. There are so many people who use Kratom and if each of us made one phone call.. wrote one letter.. together we could do so much. Thank you for responding. We are #KRATOMSTRONG!

I’m not sure if I possibly didn’t buy the correct thing or what, but it didn’t help me none whatsoever. I really had hoped it would help with my pain as well as help keep the withdrawal demons at bay. Could someone please let me in on what you are getting such good results from? Thank you in advance

I, too; have been using Kratom for awhile..I stumbled upon it almost 3 years ago. It has saved my life also..as it has helped so much with my depression, anxiety and the withdrawals I’ve had because of trying to self medicate. I am so afraid they’ll take it away..what can I do to help?

I would love to be able to try this but it is illegal in Wisconsin and so is MMJ. It is sad we need to get the Republicans that are withholding any and all treatments that could be possibly available to people in pain... Plus they are now trying to take away pain meds and the people in Wisconsin are scratching their heads asking why are vets and chronic pain patients committing suicides? *****s, that is all I have to say about it.

Re: David (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

As an addictionologist treating addiction I will have to disagree with you guys. I see 2-3 cases a month for detox, it is difficult and suicidal ideation is a frequent reaction. Patients suffering and recovery is delayed and they mostly will never consider trying it. One thing is taking it chronically another is trying to get off it. Maybe you will remember this words if you try to get off it. Just be careful, the suicidal ideation is severe.

Re: Polo (# 7) Expand Referenced Message

As an alleged addictionologist treating addiction, your opinion is naturally biased (no offense intended) against taking anything repetitively, be it good or bad in nature. The word addiction is so loosely thrown around that I think any substance (from coffee to sugar to drugs to water or virtually anything in excess) can be mis-skewed in such an unforgiving light. Does this mean that "water" is harmful? Certainly not. But my point is, in the wrong hands anything can be perceived as harmful. Hence the sayin', "guns don't kill people - people kill people" (and sometimes they use guns to accomplish that - sometimes they don't. It doesn't mean that guns or gun owners are bad. It just means that someone with the wrong mindset happened to have one, just like someone with the wrong mindset happened to take too much Kratom for too long and probably for the wrong reasons)... Back on topic... For the record, I've been off Kratom for the past 2 months and feel perfectly fine, zero withdrawal. I workout for 90 minutes a day, I eat healthily and I enjoy working hard to get the results I desire in life. Whether Kratom is a part of that or not will not stop me. However, I am grateful to have the option of taking this miraculous plant when needed. I also am a generally positive person with a well-balanced social life. The only thing that ever gave me thoughts of suicide was Accutane back in 2004 when I was very self-conscious of my skin and the long-term dangers that drug posed... The difference with me is, I never relied upon Kratom as a crutch to get through life. I simply have it as a pain reliever during work and/or as a pre/post workout supplement. However, Kratom does have a multitude of healing properties for numerous other applications (such as anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, etc) if you do the research - It's not limited to opioid addiction -ironically. At any rate, I'd much rather take Kratom over other OTC options such as ibuprofen and even prescription painkillers. I appreciate you for wanting to look out for others, but I have the distinct impression that many of your clients don't limit themselves to just Kratom & have had other serious drug tendencies or backgrounds prior to taking it or seeing you for consultations. I'm not judging them, but we are not the same type of people. Not to mention, everyone responds differently even to the same substances anyway, so what applies to some individuals does not necessarily apply to others. All I ask is that you please don't make something out to be dangerous when it's really the mindset of the person taking it coupled with WHY they're taking it that truly affects HOW they take it. Let that part sink in and you'll understand where I'm coming from as well as your clients.

Re: David (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

Not to be confused, there are 2 different David's here... And in my opinion, two tablespoons is a LOT when it comes to Kratom, unless you're taking weaker strains or a generally lower quality product. However, even that quantity taken daily shouldn't be expensive at all depending on where you get it from. When I took 1 TEAspoon a day, an $87 dollar 16 oz bag of Maeng Da Green lasted for what seemed like 6 months.

This stands to reason. Big pharma practically owns the FDA.
