False Positive For Suboxone While Taking Wellbutrin And Neurontin (Page 3)

I had a surprise drug screening done by my probation officer. I had done little bit of cocaine, and tested positive for that and suboxone. I have never taken suboxone before. I am on buspar, wellbutrin, and nuerontin, and just recently started the nuerontin. Can either of these meds or all of them combined cause the reasoning for the positive result for the suboxone?

neurontin is causing false positives for suboxone. I dont know the chemistry behind this but Ive seen it happen too many times

There are actually quite a few substances that can cause false positives for various opiates (such as suboxone), far too many to list them all, actually.

The biggest perpetrators are other synthetic or semi-synthetic opiates.

Bupropion (Wellbutrin) is known to cause a false positive for Amphetamines. And Buspirone is known to cause a false positive for LSD.

I haven't been able to locate any specific details regarding cocaine or neurontin and false positives for suboxone; but with so many false positives happening today, I'd be willing to bet that any of these drugs are still possible culprits.

Is there any way you can get tested at a different facility for verification? If you feel that it's worth it, one other way to single out the culprit would be to purchase your own drug testing kit and take one medication at a time before each test.
