Escitalopram And Clozel-beta For Anxiety

I have bad anxiety whereas my hands and neck are trembling, plus I have always felt tired and have low confidence. My doctor advised me to take Escitalopram and Clozel-beta. Will this help?

The Lexapro (escitalopram) may work for your anxiety but you'll have to take it for nearly a month to see if it has any therapeutic effects. Being that it's an anti-depressant it would also likely improve your self esteem. These SSRI medications are often hit and miss (meaning they work for some people but not others). They are generally the first line treatment in the psychiatric field for anxiety.

The Clozel-Beta is a clonazepam .5 mg and Propranolol 20 mg formulation. The clonazepam is a benzodiazepine which should immediately provide relief for your anxiety and associated symptoms. The propanolol is a beta blocker which will help with hypertension, chest pain, and erratic heart beat.
