Eliquis Satisfied Users (Page 2)
UpdatedFolks who have problems are quick to get on a site like this one. I would like to hear from some folks who have not had any problems and are satisfied with the medicine. Also, what % of folks have serious side effects.
I went on naturals after six months on xeralto with the surgeons blessing. Within five days I had aggressive pulmonary embolisms. Please be careful. I detest drugs too. Trauma medicine has its benefits.
I have been on only a month. I think at this point the changes are small. I have had low BP 100/60, most of life, save last 10 years. In last 10 years it has been 130/80. I am back to 100/60. I have had weight gain 10 pounds in part due to 3 weeks on prednisone. At 65 maintaining 162 weight has been comfortable. Not ideal. Not pleased with 10 pounds more, hoping it levels out. I think there is more fatigue. But aware of other anticoagulants and cost, I am satisfied because these side effects really are minimal. I count myself fortunate.
I have been on Eliquis almost 3 years now and I am very happy with it. I had so many problems with the Coumadin. The only issue I have with blood thinners is that my scalp itches and I have some hair loss. I have had this issue with all blood thinners I have tried. Eliquis is by far the best I have used!
What "natural" blood thinner did you go back to?
I started Eliquis last week. I was on Xarelto for one year and had so many side-effects I could hardly walk! I asked my dr about switching me to something else and he suggested Eliquis.
I did the normal course of xeralto but I had a provoked P.E. after or due to surgery. Inwas told six months on and then I could go off.So that was the reason for XeraIto. I took vitamin E, Natto., K-2, Serrapeptese and D-3. Within a week of being off xeralto I had an Unprovoked P.E. I will be on Eliquis for life. The specialist thinks it might be genetic but they want to let my system get used to the blood thinner for a few months and don't recommend any invasive tests such as an angiogram or surgery unless absolutely necessary. White willow is supposed to be the original aspirin. But after two life threatening multiple embolisms I will stay the course life is precious.
Have you suffered any side effects from Eliquis? Several people have said they lost weight.
Your very lucky ! I've been in this tablet two weeks with breathing problems ,sleep problems and feeling very anxious and very unwell!! , Was told yesterday these are side affects to this tablet , andcan no longer take them .
Had been on Elequis for a little over a year and just stopped taking it a few days ago (per my physician's directive). Did not have any side effects at all from the medication when I was on it. :)
Why did your dr take you off it? Did he prescribe another blood thinner?
What natural blood thinner have you used?? And what are you on blood thinners for?
What natural blood thinner are you taking? What are you on blood thinner for?
I haven't had any problems so far. I hemorrhaged with Xarelto but been doing good with Eliquis since last year.
I started taking Eliquis about 8 months ago after having severe pulmonary embolisms I have had absolutely no side effects and think it's a very user-friendly drug. The only nagging worry I had was what happens if I cut myself badly. Well a few days ago it happened I had two extremely deep cuts requiring several stitches.by the time I got to the emergency room the bleeding has stopped which was a great relief to me. Not saying that's the way it will be for everyone but that's what happen for me
after a month of searching for comments on the drug Eliquis and people who have been taking it with positive results, this web is the first that was in my email in response. I am very relieved to know people are talking about it. However, at the time i asked about equilis i failed to be specific about my particular concern and after reading all the comments, unless i missed it, nobody seems to be taking this drug because THEY HAVE AN IRREGULAR HEART BEAT. Hope there will be more people who are dealing with irregular heatbeats and what has been successful for them.
Another year....still no problems. Wish it was less expensive
I was recently diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat but wasn't aware it could be a side effect of this medicine?
since August 2016, I have lost several pounds, have watched my sodium content, have taken several vitamen supplements especially magnisium, potasium, baby aspirin, D3 and B12. From Aug thru Dec 2016 I have lowered my BP from the range of 150/100 to 140/85 in general but my pulse still runs the gamet 85 to105. I have not taken the two drugs the cardiologist ordered (Equalis and Metoprolol)
On Jan 1,2017 my insurance changes from Brown and Toland to Kaiser Perm
so I'll be hearing from a whole new team of doctors, just hope they are more understanding of people's fear of these blood thinner drugs and recommend a more natural way to help the body assimilate to the problem of Afib.
i noticed you had written your message some time ago 2015 - however i'm responding because I have not taken the two drugs the cardiologist recommended Eliquis and Metoprolol for two reasons: 1. such negative stories have been written, and I get other people messaging who say largely people who react badly write about it, where the positives do not. 2. I had to change my insurance as of Jan 1st 2017 and as yet haven't established myself with that group of doctors. I am greatly wary of these drugs as I have lived my 84 years drug free - not even an asperin - only anti-biotics for serious sinus infections over the years. I am definately looking into the "NATURAL WAY TO ADDRESS AFIB" and appreciate the foods and spices you mentioned.
I have a blood clot going to the main artery of my heart and my left lung is full of cloths and one in the calf of my leg they put me on Eliqis since June . I take 5mg twice a day and hope they never take me off it. Only problem is some hair loss.
I haven't really had any side effect that I have noticed from the Eliquis other than the anxiety from the bleeding threat that I have had drilled into my brain from any and every single person that even remotely overhears eliquis. I do have INSANELY heavy periods & call it shark week. I cant really leave the house for fear of an embarrassment. I end up showering 3 or 4 times a day because of the leakage. I use the heavy flow overnight pads and go thru about 9 to 12 a day. I am really frustrated with the whole thing. I hate having to be locked away with out the ability to do just quick grocery run, it is just ridiculous. I get very dizzy and super nauseous as well. I wish that I had any better option.
