My name is Naeem. I'm non-diabetic but I'm taking Ecosprin 150mg (two tablets daily) to reduce some blockage in my arteries. I'm 53 years old. Please advise me as to whether it is safe or risky to take high doses?

This medication is used to help thin the blood, improve heart health, and lower cholesterol levels in the blood. You should take the dosage prescribed by your doctor.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.

There may be some risks associated with taking it, such as the bleeding, and stomach issues, but they aren't anything to worry about, as long as you don't exceed the prescribed doses.

How are you doing? Are you on any other medications?
