Dr Dropped Me From Suboxone Program After 5 Years
(Newest replies first)

Updated

After being treated by the same Doctor since 2009 and being prescribed Suboxone since then (60 8mg per Mo.) Dosage-2 per day. At last months appointment my urine showed up not the correct temperature or some BS.. But to make a long story short, I was dismissed on the spot and told he would no longer see me. I am now, and have been going through a living nightmare for the past 2 weeks. My cousin is also prescribed sub's but could only spare 2 and I've been taking little small slivers of a strip and I'm down to 2 little tiny slivers!!! It seems like just knowing that turns my world upside down and its affecting my home life, work life, I literally can't function.. Bought this junk online called "Withdrawal Ease" let me just say.. BIGGEST CROCK OF S*** EVER MADE!!! DOESN'T EVEN BEGIN TO TOUCH THE WD'S!!! if anyone knows anything that can help me kick this addiction fast please... I'm all ears, eyes, whatever!!! If I'm able to kick this I swear I'll never even look at another sub again!!! As of right now.. Every day is filled with misery!!!

Go to the hospital and go to a mental ward for benzo's. I was on them for 8 years. Ativan, geodon, klonopin, vistaral n more we're given to me. It made the physical w/d easier but now comes the mental, 8 months later I'm still dealing with this s***... In my head chemicals r way off..

Thanks for the good info Brian, well I wish I could say I'm off of the sub's still and on my way to recovery but instead I've been buying several from people I've found that get them $20 & $25 a strip!!! But I'd much rather do that for now than go through that living hell I was going through! (On waiting list with 2 doctors... Yes, the 100 patient limit is the dumbest s*** ever!)

Hey I am really sorry for your doctor doing that to you. Just for your temperature being to high? Crazy. Ive also been on suboxone for 5 years and went from 24mgs down to 4mgs...mostly because my doc would say to me "comon lets bump you down some" here and there. Well i want back up to at least 8mgs because everymonth I find myself running out of subs. My doctor is now moving so I went on a suboxone doctor hunt because Ive dealt with sub withdrawals...not to scare you...but from a dose higher then 0.5 or maybe 1mg withdrawals wont be so bad. But ive gone off it at 8mgs and 4mgs. It was the worst. Look online for clinics that may prescribe suboxone or search for sub doctors in your area. They may just take you in if they have room for another patient. I know the patient limit is such bulls***. But i can tell you this much. Look up the Thomas Recipe. Its for suboxone withdrawal. It includes things like L-Tyrosine (you can find at vitamin store) which is supposed to help with neurotransmitter production to help you feel better in the head, Multi-Vitamins with B6 and B12 in them to help with energy. Immodium (for the runs). Try and eat light things like rice with broth like that, i forget what else is on the Recipe list . But type •Thomas Recipe" into google and you will find it. Im not sure if you have access to or know anyone who has. But Tramadol and Benzodiazepans like Klonopin which I take or valiuum. Helped alot. Also muscle relaxers like Naproxen could help the restless legs, and klonopin or valium could help with sleeping alot or even an organic sleep aid you can get at i believe a vitamin shop too. I wish I could help you more. When you go through these damn withdrawals its like hell on earth and right now I just had to write you because I have dealt with it. You begin to have no energy whatsoever, chills, runs, you need to exercise take walks but how when u feel like absolute s***. Dont wanna shower or take care of urself because all u can think of is what ur feeling. Restless legs are the worst because you want to just sleep because u have no energy but attempting to lay down just turns into tossing and turning and shaking. I hope you can find something to help in the meantime. Id also google "find suboxone doctors in your area , city, zip code" and make calls. If you have insurance - Id look up on google also "suboxone doctors who may take your insurance in you area" i totally feel for you. I know im like 2 weeks late responding and I hope things got better. If you could suck up to the withdrawals and just be done with what can be a damn headache (suboxone) thatd be great. Easier said than done lol. Right now my doctor i am seeing for the last time on Sept 26th and just found a new doctor i made an appt for Sept 10th but im anxious to see if the receptionist realized that i need him for the suboxone treatment and she said yes hes taking patients. Did she mean patients in general cuz hes an MD or for the sub treatment lol. Ill need to go on a rampage if not and search and call numbers of doctors who do suboxone. It sucks that they are limited to 100 patients. Being u may be going through withdrawels you could just start with a new suboxone doc if u find one and do the whole induction thing again and continue treatment. Whether ur going through withdrawals from oxycontin or suboxone they are both still opiates. And you need help. Being shut out after being on 8-16mgs a day is not a joke and I sincerely hope you are doing better. I share your anxiety and pain in this freakin journey. Let me know how everything is.
~ Brian
