hello sir, 3 months back i had jaundice, hepatitics A. I was having best rest from then. But for last 15 days i am having fever. I consulted an docter and i was askd to check leptosyprosis and TSG test. Both turned positive for me. I took Doxycycline and Thyronorm 125 mcg. but still i am having fever. body pain wat shld i do? i check my bilurubin last day it was total bilurubin .7 direct bilurubin 0.3 SPGT 41 test result turned out be normal.. but still i am facing all the symptms

I was diagnosed with Lymes disease and was perscibed Doxycyl Hyc 100mg a day for 30 days. If the patient is being treeated for hypertension should she take this medication? ## Has the patients doctor advised them that the medication is necessary? Also, what other medications are they taking? Doxycycline is an antibiotic that is used to treat, or prevent infections. If their doctor approves, then they should take it, because the ramifications and health risks of leaving an infection untreated can be far more severe than the risks of using the medication. However, this does not apply if it is contraindicated with other health conditions, or other medications.

Ive moved to Australia from New Zealand and since arriving three months ago my face has had the worst case of acne ever. I did get a mild case of acne in high school but it got better over the years. Now since living in Australia Ive noticed extreme acne and red, puffy. itchy and dry rashes on my face. I used proactive for the first time a month and a half ago and that did help clear the pimples after a week or so but the rashes quickly spread and my face started burning. I then decided to stop using proactive and see the doctor. The doctor then prescribed me Doxycycline 50g which i have to take once every day for 6 months and also wash my face with a unscented, acne-free soap bar. I have been using doxycycline for the past six years to treat acne. I am worried that if I stop taking doxycycline my acne will flare up again. I have tried cold turkey once and within a week my acne became a real problem. I have been trying to reduce my daily intake. Currently I take 1 50 mg tablet every other day. My acne is still lingering around, but the drug seems to help prevent large pimples from forming. I have really oily skin, and I swear a lot when exercising. I think I am just an acne prone person. Im 29 years old. I eat healthy. I dont drink or smoke. I stay up late a lot due to work and school. I would like to reach my goal of being acne free because it would help my self esteem. Yes, Kelly could have had an oblong blue, but that is not the only 100mg Doxycycline available. In the pharmaceutical industry, there are no guidelines as to color or how a pill has to look, it just doesn't matter. ## My niece is taking this drug for acne it is 100mg and she takes it 1 X a day. SHe is experiencing chest pain and says it is a side effect of this drug????? ALso, is it ok to just stop taking this drug or does one have to wean off?? I have some Doxycycline capsules which were prescribed to me in Sept 10 as anti-malarials to use when travelling. I have been to the doctors recently and given Augmentin for testicular pain, (which as a sympton is accompanied by a watery discharge from the penis). I have completed the course of Augmentin (three days ago), the testicular pain has ceased but the watery discharge remains. The doctor instructed me to got to the local sexual health clinic with a possible UTI/STI, but for some inexplicable reason it has been closed from starting the day I tried to go, for another three weeks. I believe from these symptoms I have Chlamydia, my question is: is it safe to take these capsules ten months after they were prescribed? I took doxycycline in feburary for a root canal then in april for sinus infection. Now my gyno has me on it because she removed a cervical poylip. I'm wondering if taking this so many times is harmfull or will it break down your imun.system? ## It really depends on the specific bacteria being treated. If they are all the same, then yes, you do run the risk of developing antibiotic resistance, which means that, in the future, this medication may no longer work for you. However, if it is still working now to treat or prevent infections, then there is really no reason to worry. What is the real shelf life of Watson 499 doxycycline? Can an outdated pill be harmful or merely lose some of its potency? ## The danger in using an expired antibiotic would probably not come from the product, but by the ineffectiveness it would have in fighting off the infection it was prescribed for treatment. This sounds as if you or a friend has some "old" Doxy lying around and would just assume use it rather than getting a new prescription filled. The problem with an expired Rx is that it will have lost some of its potency over time. Using the expired Rx could cause issues with microbial resistance amongst the bacteria inside your body, and eventually leading to having to take an even stronger (and maybe more expensive) antibiotic to get a hold on the infection. green cap ## Was given Doxycycline Hyc 100mg for sinus/bronchitus... have been taking it only for 5 1/2 days and small bumps are appearing on my neck and chest area....is this an allergic reaction and if so should I discontinue taking this medicine? I started to feel better after 3 days and now this rash is developing.....was taking an over the counter med with it... Thera-Flu but have not taken that for three days.
