Updatedmy ear [ right ] became plugged up from a real bad sinus infection and i can no longer hear at all out of it. Will Doxycycline help me. i am afraid i might go deaf if i dont get help quick. ## Doxycycline is a wide spectrum antibiotic that treats many skin, ear, and respiratory infections (including sinusitis). If this is something your doctor prescribed, I would definitely encourage you to give it a chance and see if you notice any progress over the duration that its been prescribed for. Unfortunately there's no real way to know for sure how well it will work for your ear until you actually try it. Are you certain that the loss in hearing was due to a sinus infection and not something else, like nerve damage? If you're not sure, it may be wise to clear that up with a proper dia...
I am getting pain in my kidneys and heartburn taking the pill , dox-cyl hycl 100mg blue pill. Is that a common side affect and what should I drink or eat to take the pain away? ## Are you taking it on an empty stomach? It may help to take it with a light meal, but milk should be avoided, because it can decrease how much of the medication is absorbed. The same problem can arise if you try it with a calcium based antacid, so you'd have to be careful what you take if you try that. You can learn more Doxycycline details here. The best thing to do would be contact your doctor and ask their advice, to see what is safe for you to use to alleviate the problem. As to the kidney pain, have you had diarrhea while taking this? If so, that may be due to some dehydration, so you may need to incre...

found in teen's purse - blue capsule imprinted DAN 5615 ## Hi Terri, The closest match I've been able to find is a blue capsule with the imprint DAN 5440. It is Doxycycline hyclate 100 mg; which belongs to the drug classes "miscellaneous antimalarials and tetracyclines" and is used in the treatment of bacterial infection, urinary tract infection, upper respiratory tract infection, acne, periodontitis, and more. National Drug Code (NDC): 00591-5440 Since the imprint is so similar to the one on the capsule you found, I imagine they are both probably manufactured by the same company- Watson Pharmaceuticals, also known as Actavis. Can I eat milk products while taking doxitet? ## Regarding your thread title, Doxycycline is the active ingredient in and of itself... As far as dairy products go, I would suggest staying away from them during your time on this medication. Reason being is that dairy products (particularly foods and drinks higher in calcium) do interact with Doxycycline, diminishing its efficacy due to decreased absorption of the medication. More details on this interaction can be found in the link below: drugtopics.modernmedicine.com/drug-topics/news/should-patients-doxycycline-avoid-dairy-products I hope this helps!

have to take doxycycline hycl 100mg cap blue oblong tablet says mutual 105 on it. Was paying 10$ for 90 then it went up to 50$ now they are charging 299$ suddenly. Isn't mutual 105 generic? Is this pricing right or am I getting robbed? ## Have you asked the pharmacy about it? It is normal for prices to fluctuate, a lot of it depends on what their supplier is getting it for, as well as your location and etc. There are also some cases where they may have a certain medication under contract, so they can offer it for a very cheap price for a certain period of time. This is often true of medications that are on $4 and $10 lists. Then once that contractual agreement has run out, they have to charge more. For example, Walgreens does this with their program, you pay to join it, but then you...
