Does Cialis Cause Mood Swings (Page 3)

Updated

I'd just like to know if anybody else has any experience of seeming to be more irritable and emotional during the time that they are getting the effects from Cialis?

My partner experiences nose bleeds and extreme moodiness, anxiety, and even emotional aggression after taking Cialis. He says his muscles become sore and his jaw clenches like being on an upper.

Today, for the first time I have experienced severe irrational irritability after a dose of cialis. My head is swimming with rage and I can't stand to be around people. Usually I take it with food. I won't take it alone again.

I have had mood swings on a few occasions since taking Cialis. I also drink a fair amount and have wondered whether it may be as a result of a combination of the two. At first I notice it as the effect of the drug was wearing off; I felt down a couple of times. Recently it has happened a couple of days after taking a pill, so it appears not to be a consistent side-effect. I'd be interested in thoughts on this.

I took it 6 times and each time I noticed depression and brain fog and anxiety . First few times it lasted a few days, then two weeks, last time I took it was two weeks ago and have bad anxiety.
I have thrown out the rest and will never touch it again

Cialis ruins marriages!! Makes men in mid-life crisis more insane, the crisis permanent.

Insecure? Take Cialis, take a ton of women you normally could not perform for - but Cialis will do it for you... Literally f*** up your marriage and destroy your family ... All Cialis fueled.

Cialis ... The best enabler, the best destructor of your life. Short term illusion. Long-term reality: now you lost the ones who loved you and you get to dole out dollars in court and to your divorce lawyer.

Cialis seems to have side-effects of heightening irrational & irresponsible behavior, anger, not seeing the forest from the trees.

And all of it leads to a ruined life. Stay away from this s*** and just accept with dignity that we all get old. There's a lotta fun to be had outside the bedroom and inside the bedroom with limited libido or none.

And a real woman will appreciate faithfulness a 1000 x more over pathetic proof of prowness from a pill. Get romantic & creative instead. Your hands still work right? Tell her you love her and explain you are not 18 anymore - and neither is she.

Stay away from this "Let's ruin my family pill box"!!

I have only taken Cialis on a few occasions as a medicine I take for anxiety causes difficulty in--ahem--other areas--and so my psychiatrist recommended Cialis or Viagra. The last couple times that I have taken it, especially when I didn't end up needing it, I, too, have noticed significantly increased irritability. As I am normally a very relaxed and tolerant person, I have found it very unusual and unwelcome, and plan on asking my psychiastrist about alternative medications. I've also considered Viagra, as its effects are said to be more short-term than those of Cialis.

My husband takes 10mg of Cialis a few times a month. He does not seem to experience any side effects. I on the other hand get splitting migraines the morning after having intercourse for the first time after he takes the pill. The pill usually lasts for almost 2 days and we usually have intercourse a few times in that period of time, but hands down I always get a bad headache the first time around.
Does anyone else ever experience this?

My husband has experienced the same irritability with Cialis. His doctor dismissed his complaint saying that it was not a side effect, that it must be something else. We are going to get a second opinion.

Please understand, many things can make a PSA blood test come back higher. It does not mean cancer, or need a biopsy! Doctors lie a lot, they need to make money!! Contact the FDA about side effects of Flomax and Cialis. My husband is getting very bad Mood Swings and anger problems from these drugs. Doctors LIE!!

I have noticed anger, loosing it, irritability in my husband since he started on Cialis. Our doctor and the specialist said Cialis would not cause this. I believe there is a connection, but the manufacturer probably does not mention it as it is a question of business.

I am a fit 49 year old and take 5mg once or twice a week for Mild BPH.
I've noticed a couple of times that I get SUPER irritable and snap at small things (kids/ wife etc).
Such a bummer because it helps and it's kinda fun to have a mega Dimond cutter on occasion. However, I can get along fine without it for that most of the time. But in reading these and noticing my behavior changes I'm thinking it's not worth it. Always the bad with the good when it comes to meds.

My husband has had very extreme mood changes when he takes it. In his own words, it makes him feel irrational and aggressive. And that is after a couple of days from taking it. I have asked him to never take it again.

Yes, My husband had very bad mood swings on that drug. I am so glad he stopped taking it. We were just about ready to get a divorced after 27 years of marriage. I was so up set with his doctor. I called and told the doctor that there should be warnings about the mood swings and meanest. The doctor sent a letter to my husband that said, "because of your "wifes" phone call," my husband could no longer be his patient." WOW

My husband ending up dying of a heart attack. I truly believe that his ED was a symptom of heart problems and by taking the cialis at age 45, it only exacerbated the lroblem. My husband of 28 years was otherwise very healthy. He did not drink, smoke or eat poorly. He did have back and leg pain about 10 mths prior..which lasted on and off.

I think that any doctor that prescribes Cialis for anyone under 50 might want to check for heart problems...my husband had normal blood pressure and only slightly elevated cholesterol. The doctors actually ordered an autopsy because they couldn't believe it. I think this could also be a problem with with meds online that don't require a prescription because no one is monitoring. My husband had what he thought was heartburn, in the end, I realized that it was heart problems.

Some of the replies here may be from cialis competitors.

I have just started on cialis. I've noticed something akin to brain fog, but I would describe the effects differently: One effect has been a noticeable loss of inhibitions and filtering of words. I can see how a negative mood might be accentuated, and more openly and strongly expressed, verbally at least, and perhaps physically as well.

Emotionality has seemed a bit more on the surface, or out in the open. In my case, so far at least, nothing particularly negative. More like being a bit tipsy or 'lubricated' socially. I have felt quite a bit more spontaneous and free.

I did have some worries about increased sensations of pressure in my head, eyes, sinuses; but fortunately I have learned not to follow or run with those worrying thoughts the way I used to. The effects were reasonably mild, and I did not take the worries overly seriously.

That said, I am not sure I will continue. Although I could distinctly feel the increased blood flow into the prime target of the drug, I also realize that blood flow is altered in many other parts of the body as well. And I see the healthy human body as a very intricate and finely tuned system, so I'm not sure I want to risk disrupting it in this way. I lean toward increased exercise, reduced stress, better diet and sleep, and life-giving relationships.

Exercise itself is widely acknowledged by doctors to increase blood flow and improve performance; and there are other natural approaches as well, including psychological ones, which don't mess with the intricate natural functionings of your system.

For 20 years I loved my husband - then came Cialis after his prostate cancer surgery - we are at the point of divorce since Cialis came into our lives. The doctors said to take the pill so it can start the blood flow. I'd rather not have that level of intimacy then to live with the monster that I now live with. The mood swings are unbearable. He has become nasty, mean, and with a blink of an eye he is sweet again. Then again he can get upset for any little thing. Thank God I checked this site, cause the doctors didn't tell us about the mood swings, AND still insist that it doesn't happen. BS!!! IT HAS MADE MY LOVE A MONSTER. Please stay the hell away from this pill, it will be the end of your marriage as you knew it. All I wanted was my healthy husband back, and instead I have a total stranger sleeping next to me.
