Doctors Willing To Prescribe Xanax In New Jersey (Page 18) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI suffer from severe panic attacks on a daily basis. im a perfect example of a person that needs medicine and is unable to get it because of so many people abusing prescription drugs. I have such severe anxiety and panic attacks and cant find a doctor to prescribe me xanax because im only 25 and its so addicting. but what they dont understand that i should be on xanax for the rest of my life because my anxiety is so bad. So if any1 knows a doctor in the monmouth county area of new jersey that will prescribe me xanax please let me know...thank u
Do you consider people who don't get xanax from a doctor, someone who "needs" it like so many in here have said, instead of getting from a doctor, 'morally' legitimate (that is assuming you believe your own drug seeking to be morally legitimate)? You're still drug seeking if you're looking for a certain drug that makes your life better.. you don't need it to survive, it makes your life more comfortable though, huh? That's why people take drugs. Remember, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, just like objects (like people) will move at the same speed and direction unless otherwise acted upon. You can fill in the blanks as to the metaphor..but Abuse of drugs to me is DISRESPECTING CHEMISTRY, specifically PHARMACOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY. I've breathed for six people to keep them alive while everyone froze up around me, distracting me, thinking the best way to treat an OD is to "put water on their face". I don't know if it's because i went to a good high school made for eventual doctors and learned cpr, and also had teachers who understood the importance and would try to develop CRITICAL THINKING skills, which the average school isn't remotely interested in. I noticed how the school i was at (number one standardized public school exam results in texas) differed from the other high schools i attended. im not going to get into why i think that is, because this is for med chat, not "who controls the worldchat". more likely it is that and every experience i've witnessed in my life. remember always that the smallest thing can have the biggest impact on your life, or should i say it.. we are on rails, experiencing a consciousness made of pure chemical reaction, everything we see taking place before us is a great chemical reaction, including our brain, which manufactures chemicals and drugs anyways.. drugs are just keys that turn on the sober brain's x(drug)pump y(amount). Everyone in here sounds like they take it because it makes them feel better, but it's packaged with their own apologies and psychobabble against people who "abuse it like animals, making it harder for ME to use it!". You've just as much a right to use it as anyone until you prove that your specific brain has genetic or mutational anomalies.
TLDR: Respect chemistry, enjoy life responsibly, but a PS: don't fear death, what's the worst case scenario? If your response is "hell" you've missed the point.
Re: Rich (# 169)
Responsible physicians refer to Subutex as synthetic heroin and you want a benzo on top of that?! And I guess you are buying counterfeit bars on the street (another red flag, physicians know their patients who refer to Xanax 2 mg tablets as "bars" are all addicts). Looks like all you really need is rehab now. You will no longer get the drugs you want now that we have the NJPMP in active use. Check it out.
Re: Giillian (# 200)
No...not all addicted..some are really ill with anxiety and or ptsd.I have disability for ptsd. Dont group people please.

I know what you are saying but I completely disagree. Xanax is a Poison. Try living your 'normal' life when not on them. The rebound anxiety and withdrawal symptoms are just as powerful (if not more) than the effectiveness of this medicine, and can even be deadly. What happens when your Doctor retires, moves away, or worse yet, stops prescribing them to you?
Do yourself a favor and don't start taking Xanax, it super addictive and could take many months to get off. Plus the withdrawal from it is practically unbearable.
Re: Skyblazer (# 288)
Klonopin is somewhat better, although it's still a benzodiazepine. Much rather have the 2nd generation meds.
Re: EDDY (# 292)
Yeah, they were discontinued in '99, but Glutethimide and codeine were the best.
Re: StarryEyes (# 2)
I'm going through the same thing with Xanax. Can't find a doctor to prescribe it.
Re: Rich (# 333)
I got the 2 mg bars for a few years. I broke them in half and wound up having an extra 3 years worth of Xanax, still do. Xanax is basically a poison, and taking a larger dose is not suggested. My former Doc had just doubled me to 100 a month, and since then lost his license
Were in south jersey
There is no doctor in America that can prescribe pot. I would be surprised if your doctor was able to write a recommendation for medical pot. Causes a conflict with their DEA license. The first clinic I obtained my recommendation charged $150. Now I pay $24 per year, with the coupon that is! Good luck!

So your Doctor did retire and you've been cut off, thinking of suing for abandonment, let us know how that goes? I've never heard someone talk up the magical qualities about Alprazolam, you rival the My Pillow guy promoting toxic Oleander for COVID19 Injections & Supplements ? Many great medicines on the market, most won't cause a stroke, a heart attack, or death if you stop it, Xanax can! I'm glad you have accomplished all these wonderful things in life and wish you only the best . Xanax is EVIL

I found nothing factually wrong with what Skyblazer wrote, you sound somewhat unhinged? Perhaps these medicines are not for you, possibly a Doctor would suggest SSRI's, therapy, or hospitalization? The medication you listed, along with Xanax will cause you to be groggy. Are you currently being seen by a Mental health provider, these internet forums are only so helpful?
Actually, part of your problem is that you are so convinced that you need that specific medication and are already insisting you will need it for life.
This will automatically make doctors wary of prescribing it, because, even though you may not intend it, it screams drug addict/drug seeker.
Not only are there other Benzodiazepines on the market, but there are also other anti-anxiety medications available, such as Buspirone. Some antidepressants can also be effective at helping.
You really need to work with a doctor to try whatever medication(s) they suggest to find the one(s) that work best for you, rather than demanding a specific medication.
