I live in black mountain, right next to ashville, I have tried all these alternatives for relieving my mirgaines due to chronic back and neck pain and nothing is working. I could use poppy see tea but that is illegal and i would obey the law of the land. I use to see a doctor Bothe for three months here and he had me on 15mg oxy/morph ir 6x a day depending on what worked better. Well i had to move out of state for a year to help my dad sell a house and when i came back he is no longer seeing patients and getting out of the business. Does anyone know of a doctor or clinic around ashville where i could find a doctor who would help me work towards finding solutions that does not involve meds but in the mean time keep me comfortable with them since i'm really in excruciating pain on a daily basis to where every one in my life can notice it.

I do not know her, she has been driven to the edge & I understand. she said I will see it on tv, when she sews the shirt with the politicians names on. shes right, nobody cares about anything important, not politicians, not media. I could see it on her face. I know the feeling. everybody is so noble, but really any of these task force or dea guys go when a 70 year old lives alone & suffers so much they can do nothing but piss & eat, arrest pedophiles, not drs. leave people alone. nobody would be on illicit drugs if they had proper pain meds. its cheap. I personally have a govt corruption at the supreme court disciplinary council-it equals hurricane carter. not 1 media or politician gives a s***. whatever she does, she does, & the politicians names will be on whatever. I cant stop her. i don't tell people what to do, that's the governments control. the names will shake up the state that's for sure.

Jeff,

Have you tried Kratom? Research shows that it really helps with pain management as well as avoiding withdrawals from narcotic pain meds. So far it's legal, however, the DEA is working on making it illegal so jump on it fast. Look up Kratom for vendors online - no stores. It will help take the edge off until you can find a pain management doctor. You may need to branch out into Charlotte to find one - Look up SE Pain Management.

KKDD POST 3970

I'm afraid the problem you'll run into is your an out of state patient so narcotic pain meds are prohibited.Perhaps an NSAID or muscle relaxant will provide enough relief until you return home.An urgent care or walk in clinic can probably assist you in this endeavor . Regards

kskddspc, pain meds are not prohibited for out of state patients. The situation must call for the pain meds in the prescribing doctors professional opinion. But, a doctor is not going to prescribe pain meds to an out of state patient that is in the situation KKDee is because there is nothing that can't wait until she returns home. If the pain is so severe they need pain meds, they should have talked to their doctor before they left Louisiana.

Look how many people are literally begging for pain medications on this website alone. And then there are the probably millions of others who are legally suffering in pain because the federal government has finally stuck their nose in the business of providing pain management. It's all downhill now, and these websites full of serious medication seekers whether they are legitimate or not. We are done, and you can blame it on the Pharmaceutical industry, one company in particular, the Attorney General's Office, the FDA and CDC, none of who knows or cares about what they have done to making legitimate chronic pain management patients ability to get opiate medications for treatment IMPOSSIBLE!!! I will be writing a book soon about one of the most corrupt pharmaceutical companies in our country and how they have cost people's lives, intentionally omitted very dangerous side effects from their drug insert causing horrific, lifelong medical problems, only to continue to load their deep pockets and the deep pockets of the so-called pain management specialists that are rude, uncaring and treat their patients like the scum of the earth. I'm going to blow the lid off this issue, and I just hope that what I disclose will bring the right kind of attention to those of us who are really suffering and need the medications that we are being deprived of.

Narcotics will never be obliterated, they have a place for use, however, the pharmaceutical company that I have an issue with must take responsibility for disclosing appropriate and medically necessary information to the patients that rely on them and the doctors so they can make the best judgement in terms of taking opiates. As an example, the public has no idea of how destructive opiates are to the body over a four week period. Things like the demineralizatiin of the bone. Extreme tooth decay begins to develop above the gumline, so by the time the patient acknowledges a problem, it's generally too late to save their teeth. Ongoing prescriptions of drugs like Morphine can cause the cessation of a woman's menstrual period. There are so many other severe medical problems that I have discovered by doing research that can happen and that this pharmaceutical company has a legal and moral obligation to state in their drug insert, but they fail to disclose this vital information to the public due to greed. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I will be disclosing everything in my book, "Deep Pockets soon. It's really a game of tremendous overreacting with unnecessary regulations and every agency placating each other, including the so called pain management doctors that I have absolutely no use for. So, think about this post, and then reply to it with what you know. Stand by.. a bombshell of a book will drain another swamp. Momo

I have 4 or 5 defects going on with both my feet
Benign tumors on the nerve endings in both feet
Plantar fibrosis , neuropathy, nearo something in both feet.
All of that is very painful in itself but because of all that I don't walk right which causes painful callouses on the sides and bottom of both feet and on the toes
Which also causes lower back pain
I had a great APN for almost 5 years who had me on oxy 30s and hydro 10s until last march when she got fired or idk what
Anyways I had to start going to see my long time foot Drs partner after she retired
He wanted to send me 2 and a half hours away to a pain clinic
NO WAY I COULD Do THAT
WELL HE GAVE ME HYDRO 10s for a few months then fired me
I had had words with his resetionist
The hydros only helped a little but it was better than nothing
I have had nothing for I guess 3 months and I can't hardly walk
I really can't take much more of this
I'm 48 and raising my 2 granddaughters ages 9 and 10

And then as I watched speaker Paul Ryan commend the new Congress on their great work on the opiod war, I just wanted to break the TV I was so furious. These hand shakers and backslappers have no idea of the harm they have caused to the people who have legitimate needs for opiate medications. This has to do with Obama's weak legacy struggling to find some foothold on the war on drugs. But as with everything else he has endeavored to FIX, he has just managed to screw things up. Everyone, please keep posting your real concerns for your needs for medications and the horrible treatment you are suffering. Help is on the way. Don't give up!!momo

you are correct , i have taken 3-5 pills a day for 15 years, i am in good shape, not like i was when my life was almost pain free.-they give everybody anti depressants so they can flip out and kill people , but they wont give people that need relief their medicine.-this country sucks now .they will wait till enough people kill themselves from pain, then they will make another stupid law up, in the meantime give everybody anti depressants so they can randomly kill innocent people.-DUMB BASTARDS

Sunshine,

NJ is a very difficult state to find a doctor to rx pain meds that contain opiates/opiods.It was made even harder since the new year they have tightened the screws to where VERY few are obtaining adequate relief. I wish it wasn't so....
