Overdoeses on tylenol reported in ers. Advil is another one that can be dangeous taken often. But an informed/educated dr knows the limits so whoever is taking care of you charmaine i would imagine has taken that into consideration. You question was my opinion ... For me i prefer without tylenol and oxycodone based pain med. they seem tk make me less tired and not as constipated as other medications. But thats me and my body. i do take tylenol but not often.

Njshore, unless huge amount of tylenol are taken over the span of a short time frame, the effects aren't seen right away. That is why Tylenol OD's rarely present at the ER.

OH, HOW I COULD FIND A PAIN DOCTOR FOR MY DAUGHTER...SHE HAS SEIZURES AND HAS SINCE SHE WAS 17. DOC SAYS THEY ARE STRESSED INDUCED AND SLEEP DEPRIVATION THAT BRING THEM ON. SO HER OFFICIAL DX IS "SEIZURES OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN"...NOW ISN'T THAT SOMETHING???? ANYWAY, HER PAST DOCS IN SAN ANTONIO WOULD GIVE HER LIMICTAL FOR HER SEIZURES AND XANAX FOR HER ANXIETY AND OXYCODONE FOR HER BODY AS A WHOLE DUE TO THE INTENSE WAY THE GRAN MAL SEIZUES WOULD LEAVE HER BODY IN WRECKCHID PAIN. THIS CAN LAST FOR AT LEAST A FEW DAYS TO A GOOD WEEK TILL SHE'S FEELING BACK TO NORMAL AND HER MUSCLES ARENT ACHING OR LOCKING UP. AS HER MOM, I'M ABOUT THE ONLY ONE THAT KINDA KNOWS WHERE THE RIGHT SPOTS ARE TO RUB ON HER LEGS. ANY SUGGESTIONS???

I am new to the Indianapolis area and looking for a doctor that will continue my pain meds for a chronic condition. I have been to 4 different doctors in the area and every time they respond by saying that their practice does not write prescriptions for narcotics they all just end up giving me steriods or anti-inflammatory pills. I have been on pain meds for at least 6 or so years and always taking them as prescribed.

BLL, try a different Neurologist. It also may benefit her to see a Psychologist or Psychiatrist to help reduce her stress. Drs are getting away from prescribing the stronger meds to young people.

Michael Jackson started this crap. Have had three major back surgeries hypnosis neuropathy and sciatic. Last med Dr said take four Tylenol a day lol I have been on hydrocodone oxcodone morphine muscle relants with some relief nerve blocks help but don't last. Quality of life without meds is not worth disxlcussing. Try pain clinics they seem to be most helpful but are strict and sometimes make me feel likecdrug addict. I hate it but off meds I atm ready to die so if that's what it takes so be it best of luck from someone who understands. Wish I could find vet they are more compassionate. Gail

Hi, I was in a car accident in 2012 and when I first seen a pain management doctor I told him im in pain but don't want anything addicting. So he prescribed me nucyenta 100mg 4x a day. turns out the medicine was addicting but really helped me a lot with the pain. Now here in staten island ny it is impossible to find any doc that will prescribe it. Previous Dr retired. Help, does any one know any doctors that will prescribe it? Pain is worse and im a single mom to 3 boys, currently in process of a divorce and have no help taking care of the kids bymyself, 2 are special needs.

hello,

i got social anxiety, panic disorder, ocd and some agoraphobia when i was around 20 years old. since then i have been completely alone, no friends, no family and entirely isolated, other then the few times my mom complains to me and blames me for everything. so no social interaction, no excersize, horrible diet and everything else that is horrible.

i am now 39 years old. im 5'10 and weight 100lbs.............. i can barely handle looking at myself. all my muscles are gone, any attempt at excersize, or even doing simple things such as going to a grocery store cause me pain in multiple areas. i am pretty much completely bed bound because of this, and im obviously close to dying.

its very hard to handle and i can't stand not being able to do anything at all, because of the pain it causes, even laying in bed is causing pain.

however when i go to the doctor and ask for help, they don't give me any.

i can not take excedrine becuase it makes my stomach bleed, and no other over the counter helps the pain at all.

i need a perscription to vicodin or something similar. i have gotten a couple tiny prescriptions for back pain and teeth issues thru the years and they help me more then anything else. they allow me to function a little bit and not lay in bed praying for death all day. they are the only thing that helps me be able to go to the store to buy food, practice hygene and do minor cleaning. they even strangely help my social anxiety and ocd and depression. they motivate me even......

i know most of this does not matter. but i do not want to lay in bed dying a slow painful death anymore.

i NEED a prescription for pain medication.

can anyone at all, help me find a doctor who would allow someone such as me to get a prescription for it.

i live in orange county, california.

any help at all, would be extremely appreciated.

I lost my pain doc after over 10 yrs am 61 yrs old in wheelchair need help finding dr. to keep my prescriptions for OpanaER that allow me to function without agony. Am in central FL-Daytona Beach area but near Orlando too. Please advise dr. near me? Need help out of meds & NO DR!

It is a god given right that human beings do not suffer from chronic pain. It is against human rights for Doctors not to prescribe pain medication when someone is passing their U/A's, and following the rules of narcotic use. If you have had an incident getting caught using anything not prescribed by your Doctor, you get black listed. In canada they can't say no if you are genuine.

I am in need of compassionate dr. in central FL-here all drs.n are afraid to take new patients & prescribe because DEA/FDA take their license. I actually have had dr. admit that. In wheelchair with bone disease incurable so have 2 broken arms, both knees sideways, backcurved & slouched, & more. Obvious in need but drs. scared. Had good dr. over 10 yrs & they suspended his license for a " review" since couldn't find anything he has done wrong. But I cannot wait til he comes back w/o meds. PLEASE anyone w/info on good dr. lemme know? Am 62 yrs old.

Chris, depending on what you're taking and the dosage, it may be very difficult to find a dr who will continue you on the meds you've been taking. There are limits on how much pain meds a dr can prescribe from a safety standpoint. Many patients that are on high doses of the stronger pain meds are having problems finding someone who will continue them at their high dose. If you're on high doses, it is possible that your reguar dr won't continue you on what you've been taking when he comes back.
