IN ANWER TO THE PATCHES. THEY ARE A PROBLEM I HAVE BEEN ON THEM. THEY ARE MUCH STRONGER AND ARE THOUGHT TO BE NOT GOOD IN MOST CASES. YOU HAVE TO KEEP THEY DRY OR THEY DONT WORK. ALSO STAY AWAY FROM HEAT OR THEY GO IN TO FAST.. IT CAN BE HARD TO REGULATE THE RELEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS W ADRENAL LIKE I DO, I HAD TO TAKE THEM MORE OFTEN DUE TO THIS. THEY DONT WORK WELL ALSO IF YOU SWIM YOU CAN NOT USE SAUNA OR HOT TUBS, BATHS HOT BATHS WHICH ARE NICE EVEN HEAT FROM THE SUN AND SWEATING EFFECTS, ALSO SOME ABUSE THEM BY SUCKING ON THEM WHICH IS NOT A GOOD IDEA ITS MANY TIMES STRONGER THAN WHAT SOME THINK AND HAVE DANGEROUS TOXIC LIVER DAMAGE, THEY ALSO ARE HARD TO GET OFF I HAD BAD WITHDRAWLS WHEN I WENT OFF THEM. AS YOU DO WITH ANY OPIATE OR ADDIT DRUG. IT MAY WORK FOR YOU IF YOU SAY YOU HAVE HIGH TOLERANCE. I ASK ALL WHO ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO EVEN GET ANY OPIATE MEDS TO KEEP IT LOW AS YOU CAN FOR EVERYONE I NO IS LOSING THEM OVER PARODID DOCS AND ITS SPREADING FAST, YOU MAY BE NEXT AND IT WILL BE THAT MUCH HARDER TO DETOX AND TO TOLERATE PAIN, IF YOU SHOULD FACE A SURGICAL PROCEEDURE OR GET A PAINFUL CONDITION WORSE THAN YOU HAVE. I HEAR SO MANY SAY THERE A 10 OR CLOSE ON THE PAIN SCALE, BUT YOU DONT NO 10 UNTIL YOU SREAM INSTEAD OF BREATH, CAN NOT EAT, DRINK, WALK, TALK AND ALL YOU THINK ABOUT IS WANTING TO DIE OR BE PUT OUT.

IF YOUR DOC KEEPS GIVING YOU MORE HE IS NOT HELPING YOU TAKE IT FROM A PAIN PATIENT SENSE THE 80;S YOU NEED TO FIND OTHER METHOODS TO DEAL W WHAT YOU CAN. FOR THAT IS WHY WE ALL ARE NOT ABLE TO GET PAIN MEDS NOW IS DUE TO A STUDY THAT SHOWED SOME ARE MORE LIKELY TO OVERDOES IN THERE SLEEP WHEN GIVEN TO MUCH TO FAST AND THE PATCHES ARE STRONGER THAN THE MEDS YOU ARE TAKING AND THEY WILL HAVE TO START YOU LOW OR SHOULD AND SEE HOW YOU TOLORATE ALSO IT TAKES SOME TIME TO BUILD UP AND START WORKING SO NO THAT GOING IN SO YOU NEED BREAK TROUGH MEDS UNTIL THEY START WORKING ITS THE SLOWEST METHOOD OF PAIN CONTROL I NO TO WORK. BUT CAN WORK FOR SOME DO YOUR HOME WORK I NOT A DOC OR NURSE BUT HAVE HAD JUST ABOUT EVERY PAIN MED THERE IS OVER THE YEARS. I STILL KEEP A LOWER DOES BY COICE COMPAIRED TO WHAT I SHOULD GET FOR TOLERANCE AND COULD HAVE A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE WITH BETTER PAIN CONTROL. BUT LET ME TELL YOU THOSE PATCHES ARE VERY ADDICTIVE AND NOT WITH OUT PROBLEMS DONT ABUSE THEM AND IF YOU HAVE KIDS OR ANIMALS BE VERY CAREFUL FOR IF THEY GET ONE THAT MAY FALL OFF ANY TIME THEY CAN OVER DOES. IT HAS LOTS OF EXTRA FEARS IN MY MIND NOT THE BEST PICK. UNLES YOUR A DRUG SEEKER. OR UNABLE TO SWALLOW PILLS OR CAN NOT TOLERATE I NO TO MANY THAT HAD BAD RESULTS OR EXPERIENCES..

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THEM IF YOU USE THEM I CARE ABOUT ALL OF YOU AND LOTS OF DOCS DONT TELL THE FACTS, ALSO A NOT TO ALL WITH ALL THE CUT BACK DONT THROW YOUR MEDICINE BOTTLES IN YOUR TRASH AS WELL AS RECIEPTS. INSURANCE COPIES ETC THERE ARE THOSE THAT WILL HARM YOU FOR THEM AND GO THRU TRASH I LEARNED THAT IN A CLASS AND HAD A PERSON FOLLOW ME FROM THE PHARM ONE TIME FOR HE KNEW I HAD THOSE PATCHES A DRUGGIE. HE STOLE THEM IN THE GROCERY STORE OUT OF MY BAG AND RAN AWAY I WAS WITH OUT MY MEDS AND THEY DONT REFILL OR BELIEVE IF YOU SAY SOMEONE STEALS SO LOCK UP YOUR MEDS AND DONT TELL ANYONE BUT YOUR CLOSEST CAREGIVERS WHAT YOUR TAKING YOU DONT NO WHO THEY MY TELL EVEN IF YOU NO THEM. THERE ARE LOTS OF DESPERETE PEOPLE RIGHT NOW. SO DONT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFO.I HAVE A CAREGIVER TAKE OFF LABLES SHRED LABLES AND PUT BOXES OR BOTTLES IN PUBLIC BIN SO THEY DONT NO WHERE YOU LIVE SOME GOOD ADVICE FOR ALL. I guess no one knows nothing about the Drug infusion System or Better know as a pain pump. it's Great. I once was eating 180+ mgs of Oxycodone and Oycotdone (sp). I too don't depend on Oral Pain Medication 74 days + I get my cocktail of Dilaudid and Bupivicaine and living great.

I live in Houston,T. after moving from Atlanta. Have severe degenerative things going on i my neck, t-spine, lumbar spine. I just had a full shoulder replacement done and the other one is giving me a lot of pain. I have been on Lyrica, Soma, and Oxycodone. I'm being discriminated against and treated like a drug dealer. I can't find anyone in Houston who will manage my medicine. If someone knowsD who will help me I would appreciate it. I am suffering bad.

Merry , I've written & so have many others about tramadol. It was being haned out like candy. That's wen so many problems became an issue. This is y was reclassified as a level 4 narcotic., as of last UR around August 28.. I had horrible reactions . The withdrawls R crazy! It's done Dave to my nervous system & finding out no more things about the numbness pain ., heet all up & down my left leg. If u can take the time , every one should scroll back & c wat other prob. This horrible drug has done & can b everlasting.theres just so much on here that's been posted about. It will help u & others c wat posts have said about this & so much more. It was so toxic & changes you , the worst drug ever no pain relief , & is a drug now that many cant get enough of.the addiction is bad!

Ps. Ultram the brand name them ULTRAM the genaric ... The company is starting 2 get legal suits from the drugs damage & more. U forget things, u get angry, sad, suclusive bad decisions by this drug. U don't understand things u did before. Read the posts, mine R on here at length from the time I've been on here & there R more posts 2 help

What I find incredible is that I've discussed Tramadol and what it did to me to my doctors and they have all had the same response. They claim they had never heard of these side-effects and that it must just be a very rare reaction that I had to it. Or maybe it was something else I was taking.

I show them the documentation on how badly this drug has been working out for so many people and they discredit the documents (all from respected medical journals and statistical findings). I suspect they have a stake in this drug and what they get for every script they write. I found a great website where you can check out your physician and see what gifts or payments they have received from pharmaceutical reps and other sources. The results from some of my doctors was shocking. They make more money for writing these scripts than many people make working their full-time jobs. Each script earns them a reward/payment/tickets/meals....you name it. The pharmaceutical companies get data from the pharmacies on what scripts are written and by which doctor so the rewards can be paid out.

Ever wonder why those well dressed drug reps get the VIP treatment when they come into the office while you wait 30 to 60 minutes past your appointment time for your 60 second doctor visit? Your doctor(s) is getting the royal treatment/sales pitch/bribe offers.

Enter any info you can, I just put in my doctor's name or the medical facility name and viola... I printed out a 6 page list on one Dr alone and showed it to him during a consult...he was shocked, then pissed off at me. Ended the appointment right there and dropped me as a patient. He'd gotten thousands from one single rep for the same drug he'd prescribed to me. More like pushed on me as he was writing the script before even hearing my symptoms. The 5 or 6 posters on the wall all for that drug should have been a big red flag.

From now on I refuse to see a Dr with advertisements for drugs in the exam room. If I see one I ask why they have that ad for that drug in the room? They get VERY uncomfortable. Try these things and see what responses you get.

BL why is it you wont tell anyone on this forum what is the nature of your pain ? some one one this forum may have the same soource of pain as you. maybe you would find what they do to deal with their pain. your negative comments are insulting to the people on this forum who are looking for help for their pain. so if you dont need help for your pain or want to share you pain source then go to a differant forum. no one wants your negative comments.

F100 OH SO TRUE! I've & so many others R like test subjects for these pharmaceutical co. They present themselves in their suits & briefcases filled with OH SUCH TRIED & TRUE MEDS. (HA,HA) I SAY LET THEM TRY THESE MEDS 2. C wat happens. Id love 2 c that. then They all get preferential treatment. So our so called TRUSTED DOCS.hand out these samples after samples & WE pay the price IN SO MANY WAYS & our families 2!! PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, FINANCIALLY ETC. ive been right there while waiting in that little room & can here so many things. Of course i was then given these sample packets of course it was not a good med I think for anyone! It was called Savella . My mind & body where not mine anymore. The dreams alone wen I could sleep would send u 2 another realm !! I stopped that early on. Thanks god I was thinking crazy & feeling out of control !! Then as most on here have heard the worst of the Tramadol train ride !! If not as many have felt it's helpful 2 go back & c 4 ur self wat has been said by others & the info is so helpful. It's going 2 take my body & mind & my actions a long time 2 heal from being on the toxic med. As I've written Ultram the brand name ... Or TRAMADOL & I've heard something's about ultracet 2 all causing so many problems ER rooms & Hospitals R getting more & more people suffering from SEROTONIN SYNDROME , body joltz , itching , hives worst is now they saying I may never get back my nerve reactions in the proper way.my left leg is goin numb can't hold on 2 things like even a glass of water I drop it or can't grab hold of things without knocking things down. It so embarrassing & all this these so many yrs.just for PAIN that's it all just for PAIN relief. Those dam pain man. Places with those needles I should take 2 court ! I told them I couldn't have cortisone shots because I had been diabetic. Oh no this won't hurt u . OH HOW NICE 2 NO! They all seem 2 have this God complex. I did get the diabetes back worst than ever. Could move or leave my bed 4 weeks.even just 2 shower was so painful. Yet during the whole procedure while getting the shot I was yelled at (OH IT NOT THAT BAD , be quiet) UR disturbing the whole office. I've never felt worse. All through these yrs that have come & gone I've missed so many events & even the simple things of sitting outside visiting with neighbors etc. even family & friends have distanced themselves. When u try 2 explain the problems with these Meds to ur md. Which I believe that's wat they've told us 2. I had several say they don't want 2 talk about the weird dreams & twitches or jolts through out the night that U can't sleep. That Ur feeling like anxiety is so bad Uve become afraid 2 even leave the house , sometimes even secluding yourself in ur room. Only leaving wen u must. Now that's JUST PLAIN WRONG ! Then it's the revolving door policy. I 2 read about this white jacket conspearacy 2 protect themselves from mistakes, unfinished paper work or made up things written in people's files. It's intense that U don't feel safe & even say much @ a doc. Office. WHAT IS NEXT !! There's no CARE or COMPASSION that's needed!

I am in desperate need of a family doctor in Hamilton Ohio that can and Will prescribe pain meds. I do not Drive and doctor keeps trying to send me to pain management. Was in a bad car accident.

if you're that disabled then there are services to get you to doctors appointments as well as 211, a good phone number to help them look into the Drug Infusion System. If you're not just wanting oral pain meds this system is a life changer.

Hey Karen from Columbus,
Hope things are okay for you. I've been seeing a pair of pretty good psychiatrist and psychologist lately who have been helping me deal with this. They both are seeing what is happening and are helping me find some new approaches to managing the pain. My psychiatrist has been working hard to get my meds sorted out for my actual condition (I had been misdiagnosed) and reduce bad side effects from a lot of the meds these negligent doctors had pushed on me over the years.
My psychologist has been helping me find ways of coping with the pain/anxiety and also the grief involved.
I guess I'm suggesting getting support from that field if not already. It's the only money I've felt was well spent medically and hasn't been outrageously costly. We've also found some meds that have helped me with the physical pain even though he can't write scripts for the painkillers. And without the bad side effects.
Also, the nerve damage has healed, not completely, but after almost a year the feeling is coming back to the damaged parts from the Tramadol/ Seratonin Syndrome episode. Hopefully you might find those nerves start to function and just holding a glass of water isn't a risk anymore.
I Still have some problems with the nerve damage but it's improved in the last few months amazingly.
My back pain still speaks loudly but I'm finding ways of turning down the volume. Hopefully I can report back here in a few months with more positive news.

Well i looked for the andaré to my question bit everyone wants to argue with others. My question is-Does anyone know a pcp in Hamilton Ohio that can and will prescribe pain meds. I Dont Drive and cant go to pain management and a family doctor and my pcp saudí no controls prescribed. Was in a car accident that Amnistía took my life. Broken back, hip,fémur,tibia, tibia, and both ankles. 11 surgeries. Help

Lisa, just wanted 2 let u no some of the problems I've had & others 2. Always read & be even better informed 4 ur self. Ask even ur pharmacists. they seem 2 know more that can help. im glad I didn't take LEXAPRO 4 depression, while my doc.Had me on a horrible, toxic drug TRAMADOL! I was so sick on Tramadol. Then stopped taking it.Went 2 the hospital my body was is shock I could control y movements & was so weak & shaky blood pressure was high & so much more, found out yes of course I kept saying how sick i was.no 1 listened Found out About this SERITONIN SYNDROME! If Id taken both of those together I could have easily died.It was bad enough on just the Tramadol.The withdrawals where horrible & now dealing with nerve damage with my left leg & movements 2 reach for things or even hold on 2 things. plus just moving around when I have 2 out is so hard, even using my cane! There r 2 many of these CURE ALL DRUGS! & these pharmaceutical co. Pushing Their drugs 2 doctors 2 use & most don't even now how well or if they work, help or hurt patients!! BE CAREFUL, SAFE, & INFORMED! ULTRAM is the brand name & TRAMADOL is generic. these 2 drugs should never b givin 2 gether because of the SERITONIN syndrome. SO many OTHERS NOT TO BE USED 2 GETHER !! It is that there is no longer CARE of COMPASSION to patients, U can't trust these docs. & U can't even feel that U can talk to them. it is beyond shame to b treated so badly
