Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 6) (Top voted first)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

hello again i went to the clinic for 6 yrs then i found a dr here in town that started me on 4 and a half a day but all he cares about is trying to get me off. i went to the clinic for pain pill addiction and it saved my life and i am terrified to come of them. is that the reason u r on it or is it for pain? i just want to find someone that will leave me on the 2 or 3 a day and i would be very happy. the clinic cost around 500 a month and then 25 in gas a month. i only went once a month because all my test came back clean and i built up to a months worth but we have ins and it does help i pay 5 for the methadone now but like i said he wants to get me off. so do u still think he would help me plz let me know thanks for the reply so quick on the other also

I am moving back to Michigan in a month i am coming from Las Vegas and have been going to a state funded methadone clinic because the fees are sliding scale according to your income which at the time I have hardly any. Can someone please recommend such a clinic in the Detroit suburb area like St. Clair Shores or Warren, areas like that?
your input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. . . I am still looking for a dr. That will prescribe methadone to me, or any kind of pain pills. I was on clinic 16 yrs. And do not really want to go back. I have chronic pain and need a prescription. Please help!

Everyone is looking for Dr. P's number or address. I think everyone is afraid they will be takeb off. I too have searched a year for his number. I know he takes insurance. I wish someone would be kind enough to let some others know his where abouts or his telephone number. All of us are in need of getting our lives together. So please...E-Mail or Post...THANKS!

I live in upper Michigan (sault ste. Marie), I do NOT have insurance, i AM prescribed low level medication (Tramadol) for pain, however, am seriously interested in finding the closest doctor to upper Michigan (yet one that genuinely cares about his patients), that only prescribes or also prescribes methadone for addiction. As long as paying cash for a doctor visit, a script, etc... isn't an outrageous amount, I am willing to travel to wherever (the closer to northern mi., the better / easier). This is my first time ever inquiring about something like this, and have NO clue at all where to start. Name and / or phone number to doctors office, city etc... and ANY other info would help and be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Metro East has a couple of locations in Detroit. They are on Harper that one is closest to the East side. They work on a sliding scale or if you live it Detroit you can go thru a program that is free. Premier on Van Dyke in Warren 586-758-6670. Haven't been there in years. There are plenty more.
