Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 7) (Top voted first)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

when calling to make an appointment....do i say i need methadone treatment? or do i say something else, bc i don't like to get real personal with the receptionist lol, because alot of them have turned me down simply because i need help with addiction and they say no we can't help. When i do that some doctors would help me if i could only get in to see them and talk to them...I called dr. barber and hung up bc i didn't know what to say i needed to be seen for. And, does he accept medicaid? I need to find a doctor in michigan that will offer methadone or suboxin treatment...who also accepts medicaid. I'm running out of options...

I go to the clinic in Mt.Pleasant,MI and as far as i knw that is the furthest clinic north. They prescribe methadone and suboxin but you have to have an opia te addiction thats bad enuf to require that kind of strong medication. you dont want to take methadone if you havnt been on strong opiates such as morphine or oxycontin or even very large amounts of vicodin will get u into the clinic.

All doctors with a dea number can precribe methadone for pain. If you go saying you there for addiction then you need and addiction specialist. I was seeing an addicition doctor paying 150 a month now that my insurance has kicked in he bille them for pain treatment. The doctor I go to is on 8 mile the Warren side, right by I75 and I go evry two weeks which is a hell of alot better than daily.

Pam, please let me know if you could give me some help locating a doctor. im in michigan, been on methadone for 14 yrs and need a doctor. its ruining my life not having a script and ive gotta make some changes and take care of this problem before it kills me. any help would be appreciated. looking around the warren area

Jacob, I'll call you or E-mail you if you provide the information. I really don't like posting so much info. I go to a doctor on Dequindre prescribes pills. There is clinic at 9 & Van Dyke that I used to attend but that was a daily clinic both in Warren. I just went to a new one that I like in Madison Height which prescribes.

Is your boyfriend looking for a Dr or clinic and what area do you need. Either way it will be quick to get in. Is he paying cash or does he have any insurance.

I too am looking for a dr that will prescribe methadone in muskegon, michigan. I went to the clinic for 4+ years. My jobs hours do not allow me to get to the clinic :( please if anyone knows of a dr let me know!! Sick as a dog...

Aleesha, I am just outside of Detroit in Warren. I do not know of doctors that far up. You can go online and look up physcian finder for suboxen and alot of those doctors prescribe methadone and they are all over. Do not be afraid to ask them for methadone, some do and some don't.

That last post I wrote was in response to Dee Wright's question, didn't realize Dee's post was so old! Maybe it can help someone else looking for a good Suboxone Dr though! Dr, Kutinsky works in the Macomb Medical Clinic, so not only do you have him, they have Dr's for everything from weight loss programs to a walk-in clinic (with x-rays and ekg's on-site). They also have an on-site pharmacy that is very quick with nice employees. This place is SUPER convenient, I don't go there anymore, but I would if Dr Kutinsky did Methadone treatment too, Suboxone didn't work out for me, I had a lot of side effects. But the 6-9 months I saw Dr K were great. He hugged me every time he saw me and genuinely cared about how I was doing. I sent my sister to him when she needed treatment and she loves him too.

I know you always have to check the date on the posts. I have made that mistake in the past. I also had very bad side effects from Suboxen, never again.

yes, ive just been through a LOT lately. i had a dr working w me for 2 1/2 months and he just finally told me he wont be able to. i finally believed i found help, and in one day lost my job, my dr., my hope...i found these emais in my spam, i had figured u just werent using the forum anymore. thank u for responding pam
