Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 3) (Top voted first)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

Are you talking about Doctor (Jullian) KUTINSKY the Suboxone Dr? His office in on 14 Mile Road between Ryan and Dequindre in Sterling Heights. I don't know any other Doctors in that area that do the $500 start fee. He charges $500 to start which covers the first month of appointments, during which time you see him weekly (if you don't have insurance you also have to pay for your prescriptions to be filled). Usually after the first month you only see him once every two weeks, then once a month for script refills/dosage adjustments. He'll charge your insurance company after the first month (I think it's $75-$100 per visit if you're not insured but I'm not positive on that, I have insurance but a friend who sees him doesn't and I think she said that's how much it was). He did my Suboxone treatment and was a very caring and kind Dr. He's also a recovering addict (30+ years clean!) so he knows what you're going through. He is VERY adamant that you go to AA/NA during your treatment since the meds alone aren't enough, you need treatment for the addiction as well. AA is what got him clean so he pushes for that. You have to get a paper signed at AA at least 3-5 days a week, but he prefers you do their "90/90" thing for newcomers (90 meetings in your first 90 days of AA/NA) but if you go at least 3 days a week he's cool. You say Dr. pinson I thought I was calling the guy on dequindre Dr Idrees. Sorry I just wanna get my facts straight before I call. IM also on 105mg is that to big a dose for these docs? Thanks again Pam.

Just wanna let you all know my old doc prescribes Methadone with NO problem Dr. Mansour in Clinton Twp/Macomb area, on Schoenherr & Hall Rd 586-323-0301 for Pain management. Just be legit with him, I lost 3 scripts (legitimately lost the paper script) in 4 months and had a $500 balance so I've recently been "DROPPED" as a patient unfortunately but he's a regular doc so he takes insurance and is very reliable & sympathetic as long as you are straight & legit with him....he can smell a seeker. I have chronic pain from 17 ab surgeries in 5 years and am starting at a new doc on Tuesday & worried about getting the same scripts as he had me on cuz he had me up pretty high on norcos (180 a month) as well as just upping my methadone back up to 40mg's a day, after I'd finally weaned down to 10mg's a day (and it was hell getting there). I also get xanax, klonopin and an anti-depressant so he's up for it but again, be LEGIT with him and he will help you. Truthfully, he saved my life and I am CRUSHED to have been dropped. My new doc is with the same hospital at least so my records are all available. Good luck to all.

Linda, You can check with Samsha on line or call 1800-662-4357 tell them your area and they will help you with what you are looking for. I am only aware of Eastside clinic that does daily doses but you are out of om my area.

My primary care doctor is idrees. I've checked this site in hopes to find a doc for a few months now and I So happy to see he was on here. I got on methadone about 5 years ago. When I told my doctor I wanted to get off the Vic's because I was pregnant. I did but then I started talking the met again after I had her. I don't know why I wasn't really even having any neck pain for awhile...... Anyway to make this long traffic story short ... I ended up at a met clinic because my doctor just disapeared. So my question is, can I tell him that I'm there for addiction? I originally started because of neck pain. But that has kind of subsided except occasionally it locks up.....the hardest part is the only person that know I go to a clinic is my mom my daughter father doesn't even know. . I'm not working right now and don't have a car so for the past year I was buying methadone" off the street". Of I would have only known what met really did I would of staynwith the Vic's .

its dr pinson at city medical. he has an office in southgate and in madison heights both are cities in michigan. dont get your hopes up tho, he used to be cool and write whatever you wanted but that was the good ole days. he has since either been warned or came close to being busted or just become paranoid but he no longer writes for the good stuff. You might be able to get methadone out of him but low dose and not combined with anything else and you will have to have a good medical reason and records or get xrays at his office that show cause of pain. sorry to hear cgm..no I'm not suggesting that dr.P will not persribe pain meds id think that norco and muscle relaxer would be easier to get . altho things are tightening up w some drs.that doesn't mean all. I been thru a couple of drs myself so I understand what its like.

Neil yes go to lighthouse medical.its on w 8mile rd. And it is a couple hr. Wait but that dr. Only writes for what ur looking for 60 and 60 get the # fr information dr.w.p.

I don't know Dr.s in Grand Rapids area. If you go into the Dr.s who prescribe Suboxen listing, alot of them also prescribe meth but they won't advertise it. You can also contact Care in Macomb County they may be of some assistance. Perhaps someone else reading this might be able to help. If I hear of something I will let you know. Good luck.

I just moved here from Hawaii and I went to Dr. Peter Chang at the Family Health Center in Battle Creek. I was unsure about it first since I have also been in chronic pain for a long time now. And my last pain doctor had me on Oxy and Percocet. But he was really nice, but decided to put me on Fetentyal Pain Patches. I had to sign a pain agreement and they do random drug screening. Just an FYI. But if you have your previous records and nothing to hide he should be able to help you out. The office number to make an appt. is 269-965-8866

Chrisk69, sorry I did not see you message sooner. I really don't visit the site much after it starting getting so petty for a while. Doctor in Warren is Dr. Idrees @8mile and I-75. His # is 586-755-7200. He comes in the office around noon. The fee use to be 150.00a month. Good luck.

This would be great. I originally started met at a doctors office. hd gave it to me because i told him i was addicted to the vicodines he prescribed me. i really do think he was trying to help me. anyway, hes not there anymore and i had to get met from only two people i knew that had it.. Im so sick of having to worrie about this. I went to a doctor someone mentioned on here and he only gave me 20 10 mg pills and told me that I needed to find a pain specialist to go to? I have insurance but its threw the state. Can I have the number. Or do u have any advice for me...
