Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 13)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

Nicole, The doctors won't appreciate you giving out their names on the internet. You people wonder why your having problems finding doctors and shocked when these good doctors get raided and lose their license. Gee, maybe if you would be discrete, we could go to a dr. instead of going to a clinic!! Think about it!! For thise of you that keep talking about your pain from injuries etc. should not have a problem finding a dr. for pain relief. However, if you"re requesting methadone, your an addict!! Otherwise you would take another pain reliever!

Cella, I still will read some of the comments. At this time I find the the web site has changed so much. It's has become petty, too many people are talking poorly to one another. There are live feed sites available to do just that. This was designed to be informative, to help each other. So unless I see the site going back to that I will refrain from providing any more help unless I really find I will truely can help someone without hurting myself. Take Care

All in all it really does'nt matter,almost if not all Drs. are going electronic anyways it's for the better it will stop alot of Dr. shoppers. Still what may work for one person may not work for another.Such is life. and unless your truly suffering with a painful debilitating diease, why bother to throw your opinon in we all know what they say about opinons.Need I say more.?

PDR, you are so wrong. Doctors do not like to prescribe medication for pain so easy. If Dr's run their clinic properly they shouldn't have any problems. Doctors are becoming more knowledgable about pain meds. 10 yrs ago I had breat cancer and stayed awake thru surgery because they had such a hard time getting a vein the Dr. thought I could tolerate it with just several locals. Afterwords because I was on 50 ml of meth he would not give me anything for pain because he thought my methadone would be enough, how wrong he was and the Drs want us to be upfront. Something has to give for us.

everbody knows that methadone saturates opoid receptors in the brain. the dr. that doesnt know that really shouldn't treat anyone wout knowing this fact.it's a double edged sword for pain.it can work wonders but not for post op pain. but the dr. should know his patients threshold and do what they can for post op pain relief it can be done w a caring DR. that knows his stuff.-

PDR who are you talking to when you say you can see why the doc won't prescribe the methadone? I hope not me, I have never had a problem getting my prescription due to my detailed and established history of understandable chronic pain. I was trying to help by posting a pain doctors information for those who need pain relief...as pam has stated, this site is not at all what it used to be. People like you are getting on here and calling everyone drug addicts when you have no idea what you are talking about...my previous post was directed to you but I forgot to address you in it, my mistake. It truly is peope like you who are making this site no longer what it used to be. Why would you be on here if you are not looking for help? Why post on here just to demoralize others who are on here sincerely seeking help?? I don't understand those who judge...in the end there is only one judge who matters, and it sure aint you.

By the way PDR, I have been PRESCRIBED methadone for severe chronic pain because other opiods/not opiods were not strong enough. I am allergic to all nsaids (motrin, ibuprofen, advil, aleve), aspirin and morphine so I don't have many options. As I have said, you don't know what you are talking about and shouldn't judge others without the proper information.

also it's really not a great idea to send people to a Dr.for methdone unless you know they're medical situation personally…just like many other drugs methadone can cause death.that's definitely something to thinl about when giving out Drs. to almost total strangers over internet.anyone can tell a storie and some of them may even be true.But think do you really want that on your conscious i wouldn't. just something to consider.if its a legitimate problem then most adilts can fond a decent DR. not just a script writer.

People please stop judging one another on this site. Most of us are not doctors (as I can tell that by the spelling people used). Some people are in desperate need of finding a doctor for their medical needs. I was one that found information out on this site and I have a much better life for it. Please quit all the nonsense and help where you can.
