Doctors In Michigan That Prescribe Methadone (Page 12)

I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor???

yea it was real early to be typin on a touch kb...I know its such a small world and when I'm refered to as she then I tend to get a tad. defensive if u were not refering to me than sorry

detroit and the metro meaning the surrounding areas are pretty tightknit so most everone that's been arounds knows where to go. I also kno dr.P I just think people should also be aware as to what can happen when too many people c the same dr.

To everyone, There are idiots out there. If they go into the DR and gets refused methadone that it most likely the time someone might convince the DR that they know someone else that comes there for methadone thinking this will get him in.You can tell when someone is just trying to get high on methadone and are not sincere. I remember it took me about 2 years to find the right DR to help me out. This was the site I used and Pam helped me out. I saw she is dropping the site which is a shame because she could answer alot of questions for us. I can't blame her though.

the proof should be an x ray..MRI ..CT scan and the like not just for the sake of saying I'm in pain. It should be that simple. There are plenty on methadone clinics for pain pill addictions.

Yea, it should be legit. I feel the clinics are mainly alot of abusers in there.

Xrays only show if you have a broken bone. You need and Mri, ct scan, or myelogram to diagnose for example a herniated disc.

Who gets online and then to presume or even say someone is a junkie? Which is the correct spelling. Check yourself before you check people that you don't even know personally. Boy your bright.

Hi, I have just read through this whole forum and thank you to everyone who helped me without even knowing it! But I have to say I noticed how mean some of you are to each other. It's like grade school. Please don't judge each other, you all really don't know what someone is going through in their life. Why can't everyone just get along? It will be a much more productive place if everyone listens with an open mind and an open heart. Just think about it. Take care you all.

To Lou Reed. Who is this Dr. P???? The Dr. I go to told me he would help me . A year later he is dropping my dose 10mg. every 2 wks. This drug saved my life!!! I've kept a job for 15yrs. Oh let me tell you I should be retired from Ford mo.co. but drugs helped me lose that one. Also I have severe r/a. I am on remicade and methotrexate for it, methodone helps me very well . I'm 57 yrs old . Please help me find a dr. not a clinic. thank you.

I was seeing a Dr. Neumann in Sterling Hts MI on van dyke and 17 1/2 mile. He prescribed my methadone but ONLY for pain, for addiction he was all about suboxane. He tried to get me to switch several times despite me telling him and him knowing of my pain issues--multiple ab surgeries, liver disease, scoliosis, pinched nerve, etc. I left him as soon as I could due to his horrible bedside manner but he does prescribe methadone so you may wanna check him out. He will run the report on you for scripts and you have to pee each visit. I am now at Michigan Neurologists and after 1 visit feeling 100% better. Much better treatment and they immediately set up 5 tests for me to get on top of these issues, as well as managing my pain meds. Good luck to all you!

I can see why he won't prescribe the methadone to you! If you talk the way you type your in trouble..You don't make sense most of the time. Read your comment! What kind of drugs are you on? If you think you have problems now, methadone isn't the answer. It it very hard to get off. It's people that tell everyone else when a Dr. prescribes a drug to someone that ruins it for people that really need it.

Allie, Your comment about clinics have mostly drug addicts there is correct. That is what a methadone clinic is for!! People take opiates or heroin and when they can't stop by themselves this is another option. A clinic is not for crack, vicodine, benzos,amphetamine, etc addiction. A dr. can only prescribe it for severe pain.
