Does Anyone Have A PMD Referral In Las Vegas?
I had two back-to-back surgeries and have been on pain meds ever since. I have since then been treated by at least 4 or 5 pain management doctors in Las Vegas and Reno most of which I fired for one reason or another. I am now looking to switch doctors again. My current PMD is okay, but his location and hours are largely inconvenient. When looking for a new PMD, I always conduct a Google search for bad/good reviews before making my decision. If anyone has a strong PMD referral in Las Vegas, please contact me on my secure email at {edited for privacy}. Thank you. Cindy
if you tell me who has been prescribing for you, i will tell you will prescribe more, whatever you've been getting - xxxxx@xxx {edited for privacy}

Thank you straight from my heart! I really don't think I can live with all this pain!
This is to "Buddy" , hey, YOU DONT HAVE "MOUTH CANCER" & it's because of users like YOU, that people that ACTUALLY have PAIN problems, CANT get pain meds. There is not a REAL DOCTOR on this PLANET that would prescribe what YOU are claiming is "acceptable". I hope YOU & EVERYBODY like YOU get the hell out of MY STATE. YOU HAVE DESTROYED THINGS FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE ACTUALLY SEEKING "PAIN MANAGEMENT".
Hey I am visiting and in serious pain from bone spurs and my sciatica. Do the ER doctors prescribe anything good here? Thanks in advance for any advice you guys could give me.
Have u found any good new dr??? Same prob desperate
I also have ssme issues except they are leaning more towards MS. I am also on medicaid. I go to Las Vegas Pain Institute. They have primary care, urgent care, pain clinic that takes walk ins. I'm on fentynol 25mcgs patch, percocet 10, and zanaflex 4 mgs. I have had multiple procedures for migraines, bulging disk, and pain in my arms and legs from eithier fybro or ms pain. They are all wonderful people in their offices. They have radiology, physical therapy, & surgical centers all in same building. You will have to give them an UA. on the first visit.
Good luck to you!
This is ridiculous! Every post on this page is sickening! I am a legitimate pain patient. Too many skeletal, disk, muscle and tumor disease to list. I live daily life in pain. It's people who are on the Internet and support groups whose main concern is pain pills, rather than pain management and ability to live life in less pain. Not one legitimate educated doctor will tell someone who is in the condition most of the people on this page have claimed to be in that pain is not in their future. If you do indeed have that degree of pain and have lived with it to make you a chronic pain patient then you know that you learn to live with the pain. The pain can be treated but looking for a doctor to give you enough narcotics to knock out the pain screams ADDICT. Pain patients can absolutely be addicted, it's impossible to be on any chemical for that length of time and not have a physical dependence. But if you are truly a pain patient and not just doctor shopping then you need to deal with the emotional and mental side of living in constant pain or you're going to spend your life depressed and frustrated because you are not living with your pain but living in hopes of finding a doctor willing to kill off their patients searching for the easy way out. You were given the body you have and like everyone else on earth you can choose to work at being your best or you can be miserable.
If this offended any of you. ... good. Those of you posting names of doctors and other information trying to aid a human being to finding drugs.... that is your karma! You are responsible for what you put out in the world and how you effect others. . Now you've been told so no playing dumb when karma kicks in your door ... no feeling sorry for yourself, pick yourself up find the courage to be the best you can be. Treat the pain but don't expect that getting high is going to get you through life or build any character.
Re: Buddy (# 7)
I found that Sams Club is the cheapest for prescriptions without insurance. You do not need to be a member to use the pharmacy.
I am trying to find a Dr in Vegas before I move there can you tell me who a good one is or your own. As far as discount perscripftions I use wize card you can find it on the Internet. It is a very goood alt to insurance.
I'm hoping that this will help many of you. First, I know severe pain. I have had over 30 surgeries for kidney stones, have had a total hysterectomy for severe endometriosis, suffered a tubal pregnancy and had a leaking appendix for 9 months. I was in a bad car accident in 2003 and saw a pain doctor for 11 months. Even 40mg of morphine, 40mg of straight Percocet, and several different types of anti-anxiety medications did not help. I weigh just over 100lbs. I went through monthly spinal injections and weekly B vitamin infusions that did help some. My doctor would not see me if I did not keep my physical therapy 3 to 5 times a week. Where I got my best pain relief was by trying non-traditional medications such as anti-depressants and anti-seizure medications. There are several options when dealing with severe pain. Opiate medications work best for a short period of time; however, to get the same level of pain relief you will require higher doses until it stops working altogether and doses can't go up because of risk for liver damage and overdose.
I have read a lot of you have doctors who have decided to retire, refused higher dosages, or have sent you on your way with no referral. You have options!
First, see a neurologist. This doctor knows how the brain works and understands how the nerves work. This doctor can prescribe anti-seizure amongst other classes of medications that help with pain.
Second, keep seeing your primary care doctor and make sure that this doctor has all records of the other specialists you are seeing...I know for most this is true already because you had to have referrals; however, those on MEDICAID are sometimes not required to get a referral prior to seeing a specialist. This is the most important doctor to keep on your side!
Third, see a psychologist who can prescribe your anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, and even anti-seizure meds that help with pain disorders.
Fourth is only obtain opiate medications from (1) ONE AND ONLY (1) doctor. This is critical. Inform this doctor of the other things you are doing to try to get yourself out of pain.
Fifth, alternative therapies: massage, physical therapy, Chinese medicine, creams, guided imagery, distraction....make a journal and keep receipts and records of what you are doing IN ADDITION to the opiate medication.
The key is to build a scrap book that shows you are not simply trying to medicate yourself with opiates! Your doctor will see that you are trying everything you can to cure your pain. This will discredit any doctor who tried to call you a simple drug addict!
Lastly, if you have no other choice or you are addicted to opiates: go to a methadone clinic. Start their program. They typically prescribe by giving you a dose every 20 minutes until you nod off and that is where your dose is determined. It is based off of your physical tolerance and will prevent you from going into withdrawals. This type if program is often free or low fee and anonymous. They see patients whose pain doctors have simply dumped them as drug addicts even when the real problem is pain.
My 11 months at the pain clinic were the WORST of my life. I stopped all of medications cold turkey to prove that I wasn't simply a drug addict. I have had many surgeries since then and have never had a problem coming off of opiates since. I also often request TRAMADOL/ULTRAM, for pain because it is less physically addictive and works well for me.
For those of you who are dying, seek care through hospice programs. These doctors are not as scrutinized as bad as pain clinic doctors are for prescribing high dosages of pain medications for the palliative treatment for end of life care.
Good luck to all of you! May you find what you need and live happy and full lives.
What's the name of the dr. You see if you don't mind me asking
I am sorry to interrupt but believe I have the best opioid prescribing doctor in Las Vegas his name is Dr. Daniel Fabito in Henderson and he is opening a second office on Rainbow.
The injections this nazi doctor is talking about actually have a history of making things worse. I have been given the option to receive the injectionsame in my neck, I was willing to try anything to get me back to some type of life outside of bed and I had an immediate reaction, the swelling and pain only increased from that point on and it was during my 2 week check up that my doctor suggested I discontinue the injections. I am fortunate enough that my doctor is in the top 3 in his field of the United States. So if he is iffy on whether injections work then I am comfortable with my decision to stop the injections. Some people love them, some people suffer further. I would suggest that you ask your insurance company for the names of a pain management doctor or look at seeing a spinal/ bone disease specialist rather than an actual pain management physician. Because you are not living on narcotics and have an actual diagnosis and scans backing up your complaint you should have no problem finding a doctor willing to treat your pain and enter into a contract with you regarding your pain and use of narcotics.
I'm sorry to see an actual pain patient being treated like a drug seeker due to the people who have been drug seeking and doctor shopping. Legitimate pain patients forced to suffer because of the fear of the physician that they will be targeted and labeled a "writer" . Continue to be your advocate and look for support groups in your area that will be able to help. Going to a psychiatrist and having some therapy is also helpful in finding a doctor whose willing to treat legitimate patients. Unfortunately we have to work at proving we are in legitimate pain but finding a doctor who you trust and is compassionate is possible and you absolutely can find the right doctor for you.
