Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 90)

Updated

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

My cream is a combination of 5 narc meds... in topical form. It helps, but nothing like a dose increase would. But I'm doing my part for the doc and he's doing his part for me, I just hope he sees I'm still in bad pain that's keeping me from sleep when I go back in. The cream helps, but like I said not even close to a dose increase with ny long acting and break thru. But I'm doing what they are asking with a smile on my face. So we'll see where it goes. I'm not a pill seeker, and I'm not a junkie. Yes physical dependency comes along with having to take that. But that is dependency, not addiction or abuse..... they need to weed out all the seekers flocking from CPR, and it might take a couple months. But I was told about a ton of stories of people coming in, getting angry that they won't just give them whatever they want with no physical therapy, no acupuncture, chiropractic, or anything like that, just pills. Just masking the problem..... But those are the seekers, because we as poison patients need to try to work with the doctors. If we won't work with them, why should they work with us? I'm hurting at the dose I'm at, but I'm trying his suggestions, letting him know how everything went in a week and a half and we'll go from there. But he promised, whatever he has to do to get me to a pain level of 2 instead of my daily 6 to 7 pain level.

I brought him all my medical records. He wasnt judgemental about my age. I Mean by using the term easy as he is happy to help. His office also offers med mmj. I have been seeing him for years and he has always been open minded to what works for me and what he can do. I ask him a question and he s open about it.I dunno im not sayin he d just prescribe anyone cuz he has to accept u as a patient.

To contact President Obama the following site works great:

Didn't know if anyone has tried this yet?

JaneyGirl,
A nice lady Marianne has a petition that she's looking for everyone's help with signing to address some of the issues chronic pain patients are having.

Check it out everyone, may be what we need.

They can't just be shut down. They aren't dong anything wrong. And they've been doing this for 15 years. A backup is a good idea butI don't see them shutting down. They are tightening up like crazy. And it's to make sure they are in line with what the DEA "recommends".

And "old place" might not exactly be telling the truth either way, so we don't even know for sure if "new place" is under scrutiny. But either way they aren't doing anything wrong. And the DEA can't just shut down a place because they've taken on some new patients that require pain meds. They will weed out the seekers. That's exactly what they are doing.

Cpr is mad they lost a lot of money when people went to Mr S .The pharmacist told me the new place is going to be investigated red flags went up .Charles is trying to make sure the Dea is aware their not pain management. They are legit but they still will have to follow protocol. they tell them how much each person can get etc .

COSusie! U r so welcome and I am so sorry that everyone is so focused right now on these clinic situations! It rather defeats the purpose of what this used to b about! I get frustrated, yet I can also understand the concerns and worries! U just think we should b focusing on how to address these issues with our Congressmen, Representatives and the President, educating them that we aren't "drug addicts" trying to score drugs but folks like u and me that just want our chronic issues taken care or and not feeling that u r being watched for wanting good medical care! I'm sure u have found that some of the posts don't pass for "approval" and if u can feel it over the internet, the doc's sure as heck aren't going to risk their licenses to treat them! That being said, we r lucky and most that post here r legit patients with legit concerns! I just feel like there's lots of spinning of wheels than grouping together and addressing the issues! We just want to live our lives and not b chastised for our medical needs! I try to check in frequently but there seems to b of late a ton of personal conversations occurring and discussed, leaving most out of the loop and not helping from our personal experiences! I think we could help each other far better than we r doing now! Write, I will respond! Take good care!

It's not just people going to S that's a problem, it's C is throwing a fit because now he might not be able to reach his 2 million dollars in 2 years goal with his pharmacy. What kind of DEA fella that views pain meds as a huge problem would inject himself directly into that world that he fought and still continues to fight against. The people on meds is nothing compared to the rate of H addiction that is huge because pain patents aren't receiving treatment from a doctor so they have no choice if they want to get out of bed in the morning. And to treat people like they're criminals and they're doing everything wrong and he knows because he is an ex-cop is wrong.. I've seen not a single flag at any pharmacy..... Personally I think he talks a lot to try to scare people. If people think S is going to be shut down or under intense scrutiny maybe they will go back to CPR. By the way, Lissssy, try to talk thru email with people instead of posting on here. You can communicate with everyone through the "about the community" link and then ask them to email whichever name of the person you want to talk to, they do the same, and then Dr's names aren't out there for the masses of people that probably read this forum, a large group of whom are probably seekers. Just a suggestion is all. Because I don't want your suggestion to be overrun with seekers.

i have several pain issues in my back and hips for fifteen years now, i have been to a few pain clinics in minnesota but some of these drs are just out to make money not really listen to what u think has worked for you. i am in need of a pain physician in mn that will allow me tomethadone pain medication and also will allow me to take methadone at a low dose. my experience has been that everyone i know that takes pain medd for theyre pain is addicted. they are addicted to the great feeling of having reduced pain with the pain meds .its a great feeling for someone who hasnt been able to take a walk or go to the beach with your son or simply to get yourself dressed in the morning is like a miracle when ur not cringing with pain or unable. but i becamr opiod tolrrant and decided to get on methadone, and one dr wanted me off of it anf back on the oxycodone and oxycontin, so she weened me off the methadone by reducing it by two piills biweekly starting at135 mg once i got down to about seventy my she added pain medscuz i was in alot of pain and at one point i was on seventy mg of methadone and eight fives a day then i went to forty mg methadond anf i was prescribed 7-8 fifteen mg oxycodone, anf then as needed at night i wasnt sleeping unless i sat up. so she gave me oxycontin for longterm pain. i told her that the methadonr was helping me control my paon meds bettrr cuz it was treatinv the addiction and hrlping it so the pain meds only worked for pain not to feel the euphoric high. and i actually felt normal for thr first time in 20 yrs. but shr wouldnt let me stay on the methafone anf evrntually was off of it and on more pain meds than i could handle. my pain was unbearable. then i got cut off after that .can anyone hrlp me with a pain dr in minnesota i live north suburbs but will drive. i need a awesome dr who is methadone friendly. please help me. i am in alot of . pain and stuck with no dr now since no family dr will take my meds over since my mg dose is so high to maitnance. please help if u can give my nmame number of a cool dr who listens and doesnt judgr and gives u what u need. thanks
