Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Killers In Philadelphia (Page 61) (Top voted first)

Hi,

My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. They are produced for a reason, but recent uptake in illegal abuse has made doctors uneasy with long term prescriptions? I live in the Philadelphia area (main line) but I am familiar with the greater Philadelphia metro area. Thank you and kind regards.

In desperate need of my medication for my ADD, and my suboxone to treat my opioid addiction!!! My prior Doctor told me that he couldn't help me anymore and that I needed a Psych doc who is more equipped to handle me and my issues!!! This doctor just cut me off completely without any refills or even attempting to detox me from 2 1/2 strips a day to nothing!!! He also didn't refill my Adderall script and I have not been able to find a decent Doctor in the Philadelphia area who will prescribe both. I am going through it bad!!! Anybody know a Doctor that can help me? Please respond if you do!! I'm gonna wind up relapsing or something worse without my meds!

Hi, I've been on meds for 6yrs. Morphine is the only way i can function. Before meds I was in the hospital for 3 weeks trying to control pain. I had a neck fusion, ruptured disk in my lower back, sciatica and a fusion with ripped fluid pouring out, so everyday I have headaches. Hope u can refer someone. Ty.

I think you may be confusing medication names and if we straighten that out, it may get you more responses.

Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and there is no tablet of it available on the market that contains 30mgs of either one. It is only available with a maximum of 10mgs of the Oxycodone and 650mgs of the Acetaminophen.

If you were on a 30mg tablet, it was more than likely just Oxycodone, by itself, but in that case, was it the time released Oxycontin or the regular release Roxicodone?

And, it is not only the potential abuse factor that makes doctors leery of prescribing narcotic medications. Any time they right a prescription for a controlled substance, it has to be reported to the government. If, for some reason, the government feels that they did not write it for a valid reason, they face serious sanctions, which can include very large fines and they could even lose their license to practice medicine.

I have three severely herniated discs and three moderately herniated discs along with stinous and now a large PE in my right lung. Can you please give me the name of the doctor because I cannot stand more than 10 mins and sit more than 20 mins without having terrible pain shooting down my legs.

Hi, I live in the Philadelphia area and am looking for information on doctors or pain management clinics that prescribe percocet. I have had hip and knee surgery and a broken finger that was not treated properly by my doctor and as time went on it is painful to do any work with my hands I'm in the construction business and as of late taking aleve has not been sufficient in allowing me to be able to work comfortably enough to finish a day and has been costing me money in the long run. If anyone has any info on a good place to go for treatment and medication it would be appreciated. Thanks

The truth is, the new obama care has hit doctors so hard that they refuse to help anyone in pain. It doesn't matter what is wrong with us anymore, the doctors get in so much trouble that they are unwilling to help. I haven't gotten any help in years even though I was told I had to be on pain management for life. The only reason I even get up and try anymore is for my children. People wanted hope and change... yay.. w/e :(

I was going to pain management in West Chester, he would not increases meds from vikes cause he said there to addictive, just like every one else I havebad back problems and med one replacement and back surgery, all these pain docs do is tell you you need surgery offer you shots that cost an arm and leg and say they don't write scripts. Someone uses to not be afraid, can't function at work without my meds. toe Give up on pain docs and get somewhere. How do all these guys selling pills get them, hundreds at a time for a stub

Are all morons? No one finds it at all suspicious that for 3 months no one steps forward to say rc has helped them, but literally right after I mention this someone comes forward and does? Does anyone want to bet me that is rc or Robyn as she's known by her parole officer, herself? I mean you must like getting ripped off and robbed?
