Doctors Who Prescribe Pain Killers In Philadelphia (Page 60) (Top voted first)

Hi,

My current doctor has decided that it would be best to stop my monthly prescription for 30mg percocets. I have chronic back pain from skiing injuries and other sports related problems. I have never abused or taken more than was suggested. I never got "high" and was always able to work and interact with clients in a positive way. Now without the medication, the pain is becoming a distraction. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't scared to prescribe common pain killers. They are produced for a reason, but recent uptake in illegal abuse has made doctors uneasy with long term prescriptions? I live in the Philadelphia area (main line) but I am familiar with the greater Philadelphia metro area. Thank you and kind regards.

Art of Pain on 69th St. in Upper Darby, Pa. They are respectful and fair. They take you seriously so in saying that take them seriously too. Take drugs only prescribed by them because even though they don't tell you, they give U/A's every visit and blood work sometimes. They will only tell you about the bad results when they are about to discharge you. Be careful and good luck.

Hello everyone. I am looking for a new doctor located in Delaware county or Pennsylvania. I was prescribed pain medication, but the Dr no longer wants to give it to me. I have been getting shots in my back and I am considering a epidural at this point . I can't function every day, my back is constantly throbbing. Hi, u are exactly right. They discharged a lot of people within the last month. They do give out narcotics but to certain people. Dr. Nick that use to work there just got hit by the feds, it's only Dr.Brown and that lady is NASTY. She gave my husband 40 perc 15mg and charged $140 then gave him his discharge papers. Don't go to them, waste of money.

Just wanted to share this with everybody. Just came back from my pain management doctor today and although I was turned down by Medicare for a spinal stimulator they vetoed my surgery I was told that Pennsylvania will be opening its medical marijuana dispensaries in January and chronic pain syndrome is on the list for availability to receive medical marijuana so all patients who receive pain medication will be on the list for receiving a card to receive medical marijuana. If that will help you guys then hopefully you'll be able to talk to your doctor and receive a card from medical marijuana instead of getting opioids. This does not work for me so I will be staying on my meds but for those of you that this will help good luck!

If u go to the northeast location, to begin with, u might as well keep your money. She's a dirty doctor, not pill-wise cuz she doesn't give u ish.....lol. She loves discharging people. When wg was down longer than the other ones i waited...but when i saw multiple people outside crying i left...

I am in agony with this pain and need a dr who prescribes pain meds in the southwest philly area. Was on a low dose of ms contin and hydromorphone for over 5yrs until I got a new dr who doesn't believe in pain meds. They don't care how much you're suffering because they're all afraid to prescribe pain meds even when the patient truly needs it. I don't drink or do drugs. I am truly sick and in unbearable pain 24/7. This forum is really no help when people are afraid to share drs names. You may think your helping people, but you are actually not helping anyone.
