I am addicted to strong pain meds and I am tired of having to come off of them, the withdrawal is awful. I went to a urgent care doc and was prescribed suboxone. I take anxiety meds too but he wants me to stop. I really need the anxiety meds but he wants me off them. How do I get him to change it from suboxone to methadone so I can take my anxiety meds?

I don't really know why your Doctor wants u to stop your anxiety med while your on suboxone? But I do know that most Doctors have a problem with writing Methadone while a patient is on anxiety meds. You just have to try and get to know your Doctor and if you are not happy with them. Keep looking!

Where can I go to a private doc for methadone? I currently live in ohio n go to a doc for subutex for addiction.. can he prescribe me methadone legally if he wanted to?

That's so crazy because I have been on methadone for 4years, I'm on 135mg and I'm on 2mg klonopins twice a day. As long as you don't take them 4hrs from the time you dose then your fine and obviously don't abuse your benzos. I live in Florida so I don't know what the deal is with everyone saying you cant take both

Any Dr can write methadone you don't need a special license you just need a Dr willing to write it

U don't want to come off methadone pal. Coming off Suboxen will be much quicker and easier, methadone is hell on earth for way to long. Take the sub route and be happy man.

Can u please give me the name of a pain doctor who prescribes methadone for pain? Not to get off of opioids but just for pain. I have been going to a pain dr for 15 years and have been cut off due to a mixed up U/A. I have never failed a U/A in the 15 yrs I've been going to him. Please help me. The side effects are killing me.

I have been on methadone on for 15 years I need help to pay for my methadone clinic. I am a senior citizen and I have RA and granular allure skin disease. If I can’t get my methadone I could die.. I live in Memphis tn

You should start a gofundme page, I wouldn't say I need help with methadone though I would put down all your illnesses and you can't afford your medicine which is what helps you to keep going and stay alive. That's what I would do if I were you. The clinic you go to doesn't have a fee appeal where people with low income get half the price?

Yup I new a girl was on Suboxon and was getting Xanax then she got switch to methedone and the place contacted her doctors and they started giving her less and less then no more but they said if she gets back on suboxon to let them no..this is just what happen to her maybe sum docs r different but none that we have found

The only benzodiazapine thats not good to mix with methadone is xanax and valium. So if you're are on those ask your Dr to put you on Klonopin and you'll be fine. I have anxiety issues too. Taking Methadone for pain, Klonopin for anxiety and seraquel for insomnia. My Dr agrees with me and tested me for addiction(he was my second opinion)and he found not 1 criteria for addiction. He is my very caring shrink who I've been seeing for yrs. and went through 2 yrs of theraphy for my anxiety, PTSD, bipolar and severe anxiety. Sometimes you have to get online call as many places as you can. Hope you find help. Also depends on your insurance as well.

Dude stop with the BS. Easier to get a gun than getting methadone. I understand these f*****g doctors cut people off medication who then turn to heroin and die - but you don’t need to involve guns in this discussion - it has nothing to do with this, and trust me it’s not that easy to get a gun.

Im in the same boat. On MD for 20 yrs now their trying to cut it off over dea fears.. Since when are they MDs. I used it daily after breaking my neck in car acc.. Could fuction and had an active life.. Now I'm on a ween down process and hurt like hell and in a constant state of slight withdrawal. I had been told id need that med for test of my life.. I guess that went away when dea lost weed... The cash cow. Now they're all over ppls medications and in our med cabinets..it b.s.. Legit patients suffer for policy..

Esp if ..as in my case. I hv chronic pain and hv had MD rx for years along w xanax 2 mg tab. But my xan is rx by my psychiatrist. So it's two dif issues. Unique set of circumstance
