I need a doctor in the pgh area. I have had 11 back surgeries, chronic pain and anxiety. My pcp gave me a month to find one... Please help.

DAMN, wish i could go to that doc; mine only does 120 30mg oxy (it was 180, but pharmacist wouldn't fill more than 120, isn't that crazy) and 2 60mg ms. i cant stand the pain, and just need anyones help or advice; i dont think to ask for 1 or 2 more ms contin is a big deal?? does anyone agree??

Cindy, Hello! I'm beyond empathetic to your situation. Empathetic because I too am in a very bad situation as far as chronic pain with zero medical assistance. How long have you lived here, in Youngstown that is? Did you grow up here? I do know of several Pain Management Clinics I am happy to give you all I know. You'd likely need a referral from either your PCP or perhaps the Dr who takes care of your lung issues or even the person who got your jaw back in order, if you've seen them lately. I've lived here 14 years as of this past July 15th. Yes, I remember the day and date I ended in Youngstown. My friends here are great. All two of them. There's been good times. And some bad times too. Right now I'm dealing with no pain management because the clinic I attended in Boardman closed & then I was driving to Akron monthly to see a Dr there and THAT office closed. Nightmare. Would you like me to give you the info I have? I can tell you I waited two months to see the PA at a certain clinic in Boardman in July and what a waste of time that was. Not to mention the non caring, cold, self righteous attitude of the woman. It was humiliation personified! I'd happily tell you her name to avoid but there are others in town to try……

Hey I'm in Youngstown have costocondritis, fibro myalgia and what my pop calls chronic pain syndrome I've had my lower jaw re constructed from a car accident and am on oxygen 7.5/325 from pcp but that's the most she writes nice lady but it doesn't do it I can't even have my Lil daughter stand on my ribs cut just her weight hurts me so badly....I'm in Youngstown and am in desperate need of help finding a Dr that will give me my old dose of 150mg a day and do two weeks then 28 days at a time . I just wanna be able to care for my Lil beautiful daughter and I'm in so much pain my old dr. Switched to some hospital in florida...like no referral no nothing but its...I dunno I'm lost please help

Caitlin, Theres a Scott Loev, DO in Quakertown, which is your town, right? He accepts new patients. He has two locations in Quakertown. One has several Dr's working out of it. Including Jeffrey S Berger, DO. If no luck there theres a list of Pain managers starting 13 miles outside of town and all the way over to Allentown. If I'm way off and you don't live in Quakertown, please let me know and we'll take it from there. Best of luck!

Well we can't post our email addresses on this site! I finally gave up trying to find a PCP in PA and drove over 4 hours back to my previous doc. In Rochester, NY. Thank God he is so understanding about chronic pain! He had no problem prescribing my pain meds. I am so sorry for what everyone here is going through. I still have to find one in PA, but at least I am not going through withdrawal.

I live near erie pa and i have osteoporosis and i was in a bad accident a few years ago i was being prescribed 150 30mg oxycodones, 150 15mg oxycodones and 90 200mg morphine tablets. and the dr just up shut me off as to to he did a lot of people because i think he had to many people on pain meds and i have mri's and x-rays but i can't find a dr i even tried going through a pain management dr and no luck..i really need to find a dr fast

I have been on methadone for 14 yes.got off cuz I went to prison.tired of every day going there.and I'm on 75 milligrams of elavil not helping makes me sleep all day. looking to try percocet 30 so i dont have to deal with all the bs that comes with methadone all the counseling and meeting any doctors in connecticut

Hello I am in quakertown pa in desperate need of my oxycodone 10mg no Tylenol because of liver problems. I was going to my pcp but now she wants me to find a pain management !! And I can't seem to find 1 pain management that will give me the same medication she was prescribing me if someone can please get back to me on this issue ! I really really am hurting I have neuropathy drop foot and nerve damage severely from the knee down and won't be able to function or take care of my child half the way I was able to on my meds if I can't find a prescribing doctor! Solo! I can't believe it! Someone else in Youngstown going through hell since Allied closed. I am right aren't I? I also live Youngstown, Austintown to be exact. I was going to Akron & seeing Dr Fragatos until THEY closed March 14th. My PCP referred me to another clinic. I saw the PA two weeks ago. THAT chick was the rudest, most sarcastic…….It was humiliating. She implied I should take antidepressants for the mental problem I have which is making me think I'm in pain. HULLOOO. Read my records lady. I already see a psychiatrist especially for the depression related to the chronic pain which rules my freaking life. I moved here fourteen years ago. Drove to Cleveland Clinic Pain Center the first five years. After getting burned out making the hour and a half complicated drive I asked them to refer me somewhere closer to home. They referred me to a Dr at Allied. I went for the appointment and am told that Dr just moved back to India or something and thats when I met Ranieri. SUCH a long story!!! I've gotta go but theres a new clinic opening in Boardman in two weeks. I have an inside scoop which I'll share with you. Tomorrow. Night night.
