Doctors In Pa That Prescribe Oxycodone (Page 26)

I need a doctor in the pgh area. I have had 11 back surgeries, chronic pain and anxiety. My pcp gave me a month to find one... Please help.

Swish, unfortunately I know exactly how u feel. I too have heard/read about urgent care for pm. But im not sure how to go about it either....seems odd to me. But i would jump thru hoops of fire to find a good pm dr. So plz share any info u find and I'll do the same. Does anyone know why were not allowed to share our own info on this site, like email or exact location, ect?.... I read terms & conditions & couldn't find anything in regards. I also understand why people here that have good docs don't offer the info here bc of course everyone & their crazy uncle will try to use the info. But i do believe that some of the responsibility lies within the Dr offices. I used to work at the front desk at Dr office in the early part of my career, & it was usually pretty clear when patients came in that were full of BS & just drug seeking. The whole situation stinks. I watched a very interesting true documentary on Netflix called Dr Feel Good. Would love to hear others opinion on the film. I'm for the Dr but he was very excessive with his prescription pad! Definitely over the top!

No he has it. Its always an excuse like yesterday morning they lock the keys up and the evening was a meeting now today my husband told me that the for is gone for today because hes stress and he wants to get away. Something is not right in my bones

Hi All that i have been having convos with here. I have good news...if u have a NJ address. A friend of mine goes to this Dr and so does her mother, brother, husband & 2 other ppl I know. Every 2 weeks has an appt. for prescription pick up. You only have to see the actual Dr every 3 months... of course u have to have an initial visit, bringing all records mri ect & pharmacy list of previous pm meds. He does accept some insurance. Over the past year he has made some adjustments as far as cutting back on over prescribing...example; 240 30mg a month to 180. But if u haven't had past pm he will NOT start u out with anything strong..only Tramadol.

I recently got health insurance and I need to find a doctor who is willing to prescribe opiod prescriptions. I am in severe pain. Had back surgery and boy was that a big mistake! Oxycodone seems to be the only thing that helps me to releive the pain. I would appreciate any information. Thanks!

Hi Steve! To your question, it's not about the DRs name you need to know it's that there are alot of PM DRs in the area of Stroudsburgs area because they have alot of retired people in the Poconos. So PM DRs are a dime a dozen in the Poconos (Stroudsburg area) So search that on internet.

I know of good pm dr in nj (30 mins from Stbg) u just hve to hve nj address.

Has anyone ever had to give a U/A when only being prescribed Tramadol? As all of you know I'm sure, Tramadol is s***, but it's what most docs will start you off on. Have a follow up appointment tomorrow & can't really imagine them wanting to test for it especially after I explain it didn't help at all. Will probably be honest and say I didn't even continue taking it because I don't like to take stuff that doesn't help just for the sake of taking it. I have some other stuff in my system, so I'm hoping I won't have to, or at least be able to get out of it somehow. Either way it looks like I'll be drinking tons of water.

Hi Carmine, i thought i found a decent pm dr like 5 mins from me but omg theres a ton i have to go thru, which im 100% willing to go to moon and back but my insurance is making it super hard for me OMG! I need new mri, last one was like 8 years ago my pcp wrote me script with like 4 differmt diagnosis codes/cpts & insurance denies and wants a "face to face" with my pcp, which she will im sure do but shes on vaca for 2 weeks!! Sigh

I thought i found the dr u and nicki have but and was willing to pay outta pocket but he wants $350 for 1st visit with out insurance, thats too much, dont have that on hand. However my question was, maybe u could give me ur Dr with some clues that noone but me cpuld figure out....... u could give me a letter of ur Dr name by using the Dr we Both had b4 he got closed down name... example if ur dr is smith & our old Dr was jones u could say ur dr now name begins with the 5th letter in our old drs name. LMAO i know it sounds crazy but im desperate. I am running out of options. My days are misreable haven't gone to work the last 4 days hurts to drive sigh... Hey like I told u earlier I have no problem helping but I can't do it on here like I use too.... and I told u I verified people info b4 I will tell them where to go... if I put the name on here to many people will go from different areas not close to the place and next thing u know drug seekers are going n then this place will get shutdown like all the others.

Hi Mary, yes its VERY hard to find a good compassionate pm Dr who will treat u for ur issues and not treat u like a pill seeker....i read on Pa DEA page per Mr Payne that it's of no fault of the DEA that Doctors are less likely to prescribe narcotics to legit patients in need for quality of life. What a JOKE, of coarse they have something to do with it! How insulting for him to even say that, like we're stupid... Anyway Mary do u mind me asking what ur condition is that ur in a need of pm?

Hi Tara, any luck finding a doctor? I live up in NY and have been on a very low dose for a while now. Only take in evening and at night. Doc wants me to go AGAIN to PT. Been there so many times and I do regularly at home consistently. So I am looking for a new Doc. Any ideas?

Hey guys, I know which doctor you are talking about. my mom went to him for about two years. This man is absolutely horrible. His NP or PA or whatever the hell she pretends to be, is the rudest most ignorant b**** and a planet. And yes he does random every time you go in his office.

Hello everyone, it's been a minute since i've been on this page, been having alot of increased pain lately, not sure why, my sciatic nerve pain has been almost unbearable and recently, during the night, my knee pain has been waking me up out of a sound sleep. Anyways, hope you are all doing as well as can be.

Tara - If the doctor is making you pay $380 up front for the first visit this is not the Dr that Carmine & I go too. The doc that we see is $80 bi-weekly. No more for first appt. So keep searching, he is located in Scranton. I wish so bad i could give you his name, but i don't want everyone on here having it. Anyways i know a friend who just started going to a Dr Mark Cruciani and got prescribed 30 mg oxycodone and she was never on them before. So maybe you can give him a try?
