Is there any Dfrs of Pain Management Clincs in Hampton Roads VA, Newport News, Williamsburg? My Dr. in Richmond was closed down and I am out of luck. They called me on Monday to tell my my Tuesday appointment was cancelled and they were closed for good. Dr. Steven Deschner was his name ## I WENT TO HIM TO, HE WAS SO KIND AND CARING. HARD TO FIND OUT THERE NOW. I STILL HAVE NOT FOUND ANYONE TO TREAT ME.

My wife had a pain shot of dilaudid back in October of last year and the results of her drug test for that month came up as her having hydrocodone and tramadol in her system. She is allergic to both and is prescribed oxycodone 7.5 which other than the er pain shot is all she takes. Can the dilaudid pain shot show up as hydrocodone and tramadol?

I have a Medtronics IT opioid pain pump They are filling my pump with Dilaudid My current dosage is 0.5547 mg/day April 2017 will be a yr. since my pump was implanted. I've been taken off my oral Morphine so I can be able to to feel if the pump is working. My pain level stays at a 7 or above. I have multiple spine issues different levels mainly lower. The reason I ask this question is because I need to know if I need to look for another Dr. or continue with this one for a little longer. I'm so tired of being in pain. Thanks for your assistance.

Hi, About three years ago during treatment for rectal cancer, I was given Dilaudid and Fentanyl as part of a pain management program. During a 10-day hospital stay, Dilaudid was injected sub-q every half-hour by means of a pump, and Fentanyl was injected by nurses when necessary (4-5 times a day). After discharge from the hospital, I kept the Dilaudid pump but, fortunately, Fentanyl was no longer required. I stayed on the pump until surgery 6 weeks later. Dilaudid was administered for another 10 days after surgery, but since the cause of the initial pain (a large tumour) had been removed, I no longer needed the medication. Withdrawal was limited to a couple of days of shivering (this was during a heat wave). My question is this: how long after taking medications as powerful as these doe...

If i just take one, will it make me go to sleep? or will i feel fine or out of it?? i dont wanna take it at the wrong time.. ## Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, which is a very potent narcotic. I can cause the side effects you mentioned, but there is really no way for anyone to say how it is going to affect you. It can vary from person to person and depends on your tolerance to narcotics. Learn more: How do narcotics usually affect you? ## I take 2 30mg oxycodone every 3 hrs, my Q is this will 8mg of Dilaudid be enought to help me out of pain? What is the eq. of the two which is stronger? ## I take 2 - 30mg oxycodone RR 7 was switched to 2 - 4mg Dilaudid. my q is this which is stronger, and what is the reasoning behind her thinking this would be enough, what is the...

I took 5 dilaudid in a two day period. I weigh 180. 5'11 fast metabolism. one second day rode bike 10 miles came home soaked in a hot bath sweating that night covered with 4 blankets, drank cranberry juice & water. The next day I flushed in the morning, stopped, got my color back, then dropped for lab test at 3pm. 70 hours after last use. What are my chances at passing? ## It's been 7 dayz since i labed. Looks like im good..So sweating and cranberry juice did the trick. ## Charles, Have you received confirmation of the results or just assuming that for lack of notification to this point?? I'm just curious because 70 hours is relatively short to test - I'm a former user who currently works in the methadone/suboxone treatment field so topics of such claims interest me....

My doctor no longer prescribes narcotics. I have 4 bulged discs, a degenerative disc and sciatica. I have been on Dilaudid 8 mg 3 times a day for months. I went to a pain specialist who will only prescribe 4 mg and only one per day. Does anyone know a doctor who isn't afraid to write the scripts needed for chronic pain? I live in the Orlando area but am willing to drive to get the medication I need. I'm desperate! ## Marilyn, I'm sure this has little to do with you but the DEA in conjunction with state regulatory agencies have been notified that further prescribing of this potent narcotic opiate/opioid will result in their displeasure. Dilaudid, also referred to as hospital heroin for the intense euphoric pleasure it produces when administered intravenously, causes many to a...

My family doc does prescribe dilaudid for me but now told me I have to go and have a consult with a pain management doc to see if what he is doing is appropiate. So I need to find a pm doc who will do a consult and say to just continue meds. Been on these meds for over 10 years. I now take 4mg 4 times a day.. Anybody know of who to go see in ND? ## Worried, This is very common as the new regulations are trying to all but eliminate the use of these morphine like drugs for all conditions short of Patients with a definable end of life diagnosis. Most will further refer to a specialist that may offer a taper and transition to an Opiate assisted protocol for those struggling with dependence. If someone is aware of these " compassionate doctors" they certainly won't post that inform...

I am in between primary Doctors. I got out of a nursing facility three weeks ago with only two to three days of pain meds. I can't see a Doctor until three weeks from now. I have stasis ulcers on my feet and Degenerative Arthritis which has progressed to bone on bone in both hips. Was on 4 mg Dilaudid,10mg Valium,60mgmorphine. First two were to help me sleep thru the night. Help Until I see the doctor! ## Hello, Tony! How are you doing? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A PCP can no longer prescribe them for you. Have you gotten in to see a doctor, yet? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potentia...

When I was in the hospital I was given the Diluadid through an IV, and it didn't seem to work. Is it possible that the Subutex I had been taking daily neutralized the effects of the Dilaudid, because I got very little relief from a high dose of the Dilaudid? ## Please let me know if the drug sub Subutex can neutralize the Dilaudid one given by IV? When I was in the hospital and being treated for serious surgery, I was given the Dilaudid by IV at a high-dose and felt very little relief. The nurses thought I was being a wimp until my pharmacist told me not to me that I shouldn't take the two above medications at the same time because the Subutex can possibly neutralize the effects of the Dilaudid. Does anybody have any concrete medical information that this is true? I would greatl...

has anyone been on a pain pump and been weaned? i am over medicated and cant get a new medication provider anywhere within a 200 mile range because i already have a pain pump implanted. my current p.m. provider is saying side effects from pain pump med being stopped is "impossible" i say b.s. i was on 3.6 mg per day of Dilaudid in Sept of 2012 and .36 in my PA dose up to 4 times a day. in January the dr increased me to 6.6 in simple continuous and .66 in the PA up to 6 doses a day for break through pain. this was looked at by another dr who said it was an 83% increase! does anyone know if that is accurate? and the dr said it was also 83% increase of my PA as all doses were activated. on march 5 i was dropped from 6.6 to 6 in simple continuous and then 1.66 to 1.6! that was hard ...

trying to locate dilaudid 8 mg ## i have a script for dilaudid 8 mg. they are backordered in Md. where can i get it filled?? ## I am not too familiar with pharmacies in MD, but I do know from when I lived there for a short time, that it was very hard to get narcotics prescriptions filled, I usually had to look for a pharmacy that specialized in pain management medications, as most regular drug stores didn't keep them in stock. Finding these types of controlled medication online can also be difficult. Have you tried calling around to see if anyone in your area has it? Since I don't know exactly what area of MD you are in, it is hard for me to even try and suggest somewhere. To the original poster, are you in MD as well or somewhere else? Have you tried looking into generics or as...

i am prescribed dilaudid for pain. well, they just gave me 2 drug tests and its not showing up. first was urine, then second was blood. nothing. now it looks like im banned from the practice. ive been taking them everyday for around 9 months. there is NO WAY in hell this is possible. so ive been doing some research and here is what ive gathered: a normal test for opiates will not reveal dilaidid/hydromorphone. they have to test specifically for the metabolite for dil/hyd.. is this correct? can anyone give me any info on what is going on here? this is crazy and like i said, ive taken these for 9 months religiously, so something is wrong. ## Bubby, Sorry to hear of your issues but dilaudid is a synthetic opiate so it Will test positive in standard urine screens. No specialized tests are w...

Does anyone know how to tell if a Dilaudid is fake, specifically the 8mg ones that is triangular shaped with rounder corners, white, and 8 on one side and the to of the letter p on the other side, but the p are both going different directions. So one normal letter p and the other is upside letter p. The letter p's are separated by a straight line between them. I am trying to figure out how I can tell if I have a fake one or not. I do notice they are very shiny, but not sure if they normally look like that. ## Hello, Harley! How are you? There is a tablet with the Pd 8 marking that is manufactured by Purdue Pharma which matches this description, they list it as being an 8mg Dilaudid tablet. This is new to me so I hope I can make sense. I'm so addicted to these pills. I'm taking them like candy and I know at any moment my life could stop and I'm terrified, but I just keep taking them as soon as I feel reality of the pills wearing off. I've now lost my job, have pulled away from the ones I love. My life is these pills. Please anyone who understands talk to me. I'm alone and feel beaten by my addiction.

Dr wants to test levels of medication is system Tomarrow Jan29 th UA havnt had dilaudid in 4 days but still have 15ER MORPHINE he also did H the past 4 days what can he do ## Depending on the test different opiates show up as exactly what they are. No more are the days of positive or negative. I would try and wait at least 5 days depending on the amount of body fat and how well your liver works. Most doctors with dirty urine, mouth swabs what ever the test is will terminate you. Good luck ## I have a pm doctor and the last few times I've been there my hydro 5 have not shown up in my system and doctor says if it happens this month they are going to fire me. Haven't had any for about 10 days but will take 12 before I see him this month. My question is, will that be enough in my sy...

So I've been in the hospital for a while. I've used Dilaudid for roughly about 13 or 14 days through my pic line and IV . So they unsubscribed me to it but they say I can have Morphine. The Morphine isn't helping much and the pain was a 7-10 on a scale of pain and 10 being the worse. How long will it take till I can't take Morphine and it helps cause it really hasn't helped? I don't know what's wrong with me yet, but the pain does come back and fourth to a 5-7. ## What was the dosage of the Dilaudid and what is the dosage of the Morphine? There are two possible problems here, the first is that you may not be on an equivalent dose of the Morphine and the second is that it just may not work for you. Learn more Morphine details here. Not every medication works f...

How many mcg of fentanyl n how often would equal to the 6 a day 8mg Dilaudid I'm taking. My tolerance is going up really fast. I'm suffering. 25 mcgs of 10 fentanyl patches are only $44, while ridiculously 15mcg is 184$. Just wondering if 25 mcg and 10 patches in a month is what I should ask my dr for? She prefers ms contin but it's 88$. Can't win for losing. I can give everyone a tip tho. Use an RX Savings Card - YOU SAVE A CRAP LOAD OF $$$ USING THEM!! ;) Thank you in advance for any replies. ## Hello, Jodie! How are you? It only takes .64mgs of Fentanyl to equal your current daily dose of Dilaudid, the patches are usually changed every 72 hours. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzi...

I have an RX for dilaudid and for the last few months by the end of the month, some of my tablets look like they have been dropped in water and taken out to dry. They are smaller and the marks are not readable. How and why does this happen! Thank you for your help ## Hello, Julia! How are you? Do they still work for you? Some pharmacies use automated counters and sorters, which unfortunately may result in some peoples being slightly damaged, or broken. I've had it happen, before, so I know prefer to use pharmacies that still do hand counts to fill prescriptions. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

I just had my spinal revision surgery on 11/4/2016, and due to the severity of the issues and problems, the surgery took far longer than expected. This surgeon was expecting, and correct, that I would require a stronger pain medication regime following surgery. Through several trial and errors, and the need to be off of IV therapy to be admitted to rehab, we decided that I would be on ms contin 30mg XR and dilaudid 8 mgs x4hrs prn. Pain management working well with only minor breakthrough pain easily handled through controlled breathing. I have found that a dose of ms contin at 8pm followed by a dose of dialaudid at 10pm allows me somewhat decent sleep until 4:30-5:00am! Something that I haven't been able to do for at least 6-8 months! Until tonight of course!! Nurse gave my MS cont...
