I have done if before but would like to make sure this time about the side effects. Please suggest. Diet is not an option at my place. ## I want to lose my weight ## No, it would not be advisable to use such a medication just for weight loss, unless your doctor has told you that it is safe for you to do so. Additionally, this medication can sometimes actually cause weight gain as a side effect in some people, so it could backfire on you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Do saal se thyronorm ki ik tablet kha rahi hun .doctor ne kaha h ki ik baar thyroid hone per puri zindgi tablet li jati h .mai 50 mg ki ik tablet daily leti hun kya ye sahi h .

The first 5 weeks taking contrave I had no appetite. I dropped 24lbs in the first month and was only taking 1 pill twice a day. I just recently got a refill and it's not doing anything to decrease my appetite anymore. I upped to 3 pills a day still not working like it did the first month. Has anyone else have this same experience? If I keep taking it will it eventually decrease my appetite like before? ## This has happened to me and am looking for answers to this app can’t question. I am wondering if I got to complacent because the first few weeks seemed so easy. ## Many people have reported experiencing this, after awhile taking this medication, and the FDA does warn that it can happen. You may also experience other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irrit...
I have been on this for about a month. I was only taking 3 a day. I didn't feel comfortable taking 4. So my Dr said that was fine. Then Friday night I felt done swelling in my throat, but that subsided after a couple hours. I went to bed, got up to go to bathroom and my legs felt really heavy. So I laid back down and in about 5 minutes later got up, same thing. I also started feeling very nauseous. Thought maybe I was coming down with the flu. Never got sick, just felt bad. Finally was able to sleep. Still feeling bad the next morning. Decided to take only 1 the next morning. Decided to check my bp at Dillons. I know they are not real accurate, but give me an idea. My bp was 150/89. Went to minor med. They checked it, it was 130/90. So a little high. I am on bp meds. Didn't take...
Have been prescribed Contrave but can stand pain but don't do nausea very well ## Hello, Clipscomb! How are you? It is a possible side effect, along with dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia and anorexia, as listed by the FDA. How have you reacted to other medications? Do you usually experience nausea? ## I’ve never tried it! I’d love anything to get rid of nausea! I’ve been trying Emend which works well, but costs $20 for 3 pills!

Do over the counter ephedrine pills show up as methamphetamine on a urine test and are they available in Jacksonville, Florida? Also, is ephedra the same as ephedrine? ## I took a mini thin (ephedra) and failed a drug test!! I retest tomorrow at 10:30 am. How long does this stay in my system? ## RE: A false positive for Ephedrine, Did God make a mistake with Adam and Eve in that he said you shall eat of every plant as food? Is the Govt. like Lucifer now just going against everything God had said? I guess they are smarter than God just like Lucifer! Ephedrine or Ma Huang is a plant.
Into my second month on contrave. I have experienced every side effect. Irritable, ringing ears, vomiting, lack of libido ect..ect. I have lost weight but at a high price. I hope hope hope my body will adjust to this torture. ## You should try Belviq, it has a much friendlier side effect profile ## @Jojo, I'm not sure how long it's supposed to take for your body to adjust to the effects of Contrave, but after two months of it not working as expected I'd be hard pressed to expect anything different out of it. That's just me though. I realize some medications such as birth control can also take a long time to become fully effective as well; and if that is the case with Contrave this may just be an extended waiting game. However, on the other hand - if the side effects aren...

However, if you stop taking it and let your sugar get out of control, again, yes the weight could return. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, hypoglycemia and flatulence. This also shouldn't be taken, unless your doctor has instructed you to do so. Is there anythi...

Is there a way, after an extended use of Qsymia to somehow reboot its effects? It worked real well for me in the beginning and I've seen where some have said they skip a dose and also where advise was given that our bodies get used to the meds. So i was wonder if maybe taking a week or two off from using could somehow assist in helping? ## Yes, sometimes it does help to take some time off. How long have you been taking it? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. How much weight have you lost, so far? You can read more about this medication here: ## Thank you for the reply. I’ve been on it for a few years as it’s more for maintenance now. Lost over 150 lbs and need to lose another 40-45. The si...
I have been taking contrave for about 2 years on and off and have lost around 50-60 lb. I was diagnosed this year with menears disease I began suffering from horrible vertigo attacks and ringing in my ears. I believe I am noticing a change in my behavior from Irritability to aggression. I am also noticing stiffness and joint pain epecially in my knees. I have been able to maintain my weight with the help of contrave and exercise. I feel now it may be critical that I stop taking it asap, These are all listed as potential side effects, why now ? ## Unfortunately, there is no real way to say how any medication may affect any given person that tries it. It can vary from person to person. According to FDA reports, there is also no way to know how we may react to any given medication, as time...

In this case, it is important to determine why you are not having your period and the diagnosis of that will determine the proper treatment. There are several different things that could cause it, such as a hormonal balance, excessive exercise, weight loss, stress and, even if you had fully protected sex, there is still a very slight chance that you co...
I had to Cushing's syndrome which caused me to go from 125 to 320 lbs. I had my adrenal glands removed or I would have died. I also have neuropathy on my left leg. But since I am a small person, I have so much excess skin hanging down and my whole life I've worn a size d in a bra so my breasts are hanging also. I have to walk with the crutch. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do besides surgery (which I am in the middle of trying) that could move my skin back to where it's supposed to be? Therefore I could probably just walk with a cane. ## It isn't moving your skin back to where it's supposed to be, it is that the excess weight caused your skin to become very stretched out, so now you have excess that will most likely have to be surgically removed. U...
Where can I get Axcion Fentermina over the counter? I have low thyroid and it's been very hard to lose weight. I've heard great reviews about these diet pills, and would like to try them. Thank you ## Hi Cat, Acxion is a brand of Phentermine that (to my knowledge) is only available in Mexico. So you'd essentially have to visit Mexico in order to legally get your hands on it. However, there's a few popular discussion threads here on MedsChat that may be able to point you in the right direction with more information on that: Discuss/acxion-fentermina-173994.htm Discuss/Fentermina-and-Acxion-164393.htm?srcq=acxion Discuss/WHERE-TO-BUY-ACXION-FENTERMINA-200686.htm?srcq=acxion Lastly, if going to Mexico is out of the question, you could always make an appointment with a local...
Hi - I am switching from Wellbutrin XL 300 mg/day (brand) to Contrave. I do not have the Rx yet but wanted to ask in advance - will I still need to do the taper up to the full dosage of Contrave since I have already been on Wellbutrin XL 300 mg for a long time? Or could I start at the full dosage of Contrave since the amounts in a full days dosage (4 pills) is comparable to a days worth of Wellbutrin. As I understand it the main side effects are a result of the bupropion and not the second part of the combination and this is why they start you out slowly and then increase dosage gradually. Please let me know if you have any ideas! I try to be as informed as I can when I go to my PCP. ## Hi Leann, My theory is that because Contrave and Wellbutrin both contain bupropion, you should be abl...
My elder daughter is 20 years old. She is having thyroid problem and her weight is 76kg, height 5'3. The doctor suggested her this glycomet for weight-loss. She is taking glycomet 750mg now and she reduced her weight by 6 kg. If she discontinues treatment will she gain her weight back or not? ## I'm 25yrs old, 57kg and 5 foot tall. I want to lose weight taking glycomet 500mg. Is it a good or bad option? ## I have been advised Glycomet 500mg to control my blood sugar which is 107 while fasting and 117 PP, but my weight is 88 Kgs. Will it help in weight reduction as well? I am 71 years old.
I have been taking one 5-325 mg Percocet at night for some oral surgery I had last week. I am OK to stop using the Percocet as most the pain is gone and I was taking it at night as I grind my teeth which can cause additional pain but I can deal with the iburofen taking care of it now. I want to start my Contrave but took one Percocet last night. Can I take the Contrave? This will be my first try with Contrave. ## Taking the Contrave too close to the Percocet could cause an increased risk of seizures, according to FDA reports, it could also throw you into precipitated withdrawals. Thus, it is usually best not to take Contrave, until you are in withdrawal from the Percocet, or have been off of it about 3 days, or so, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. How are you doing, now? Did you ...
