Light green oval pill with 80 on one side and no markings on the other ## Based on the description provided, I've identified your oval light green pill marked with "80" on one side to be Janumet XR, containing: Sitagliptin 50mg + Metformin 1,000mg. Manufacturer: Merck & Co., Inc. This combination medication is an oral anti-diabetic drug used with a proper diet and exercise program and possibly with other medications to control high blood sugar. It is used by patients with type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes). I hope this helps!

Updatedvery small /scored on one side (found in bottle for glybiuride 5 MG) ## It is also a 5mg Glyburide tablet, it is likely that the pharmacy may have been short a pill when they filled the prescription, so one from a different manufacturer was used to provide you with the full amount of tablets. Learn more Glyburide details here. It's very commonly done and they probably just forgot to let you know about it, though most will try to do so as a courtesy. Are there any other questions?

I was taking stool sample for hemacult test and saw the Januvia tablet in my feces 12 hours after taking the tablet. Why was the tablet intact at this time i.e 12 hrs after dose? Why wasn't it absorbed? Also will the red /orange color cause false positive in hemacult test? ## The outer shells of some tablets are not meant to be dissolved, but that doesn't mean that the medication wasn't released. Imean rapid insulin n long effect one, Apidra, aspart,n the grey colour pen insulins? ## Well, you've already specified the differences. There are some that work fast to bring your blood sugar down, which means they also don't work that long in the body, so they usually require more frequent dosing or must be followed by one of the other ones. The long acting are exactly that, they last longer in the body to help control your blood sugar for a longer period of time. The problem with them, however, is that they can take a bit to start working, so someone's sugar may rise for awhile, before it starts to bring them down. That's why they're often combined with a short acting. Learn more Insulin details here. Are you diabetic and using insulin?
Dr ordered Metformin HCL ER 24hr 500mG (OSM) and the mail order pharmacy is sending Fortamet.500mG Is there a difference between what the Dr ordered and the generic Metformin HCL ER 24 ?.......I know that Fortamet is a brand and costs much more than the generic.Metformin HCL ER 24 hrs.......Waht does the (OSM) indicate? ## The Fortamet is the same as what your doctor prescribed, it is just a name brand, rather than a generic. Learn more Metformin details here. From what I can find, the OSM stands for Osmotic, it is used to stress that you get a maximized extended release version, which is what the Fortamet is.
